Were is the IMEI number stored in our defy, like efs folder in samsung. Its helpful for backup it and flash without fear about loosing imei

same question
same question, where is imei stored? is there some EFS folder like Samsung phones?
You do not need to worry about imei loss. I've not read any reports of imei getting permanently lost.
If you loose your imei, after flashing, you can simply flash a stock ROM from rsd to restore it.

How did you update? OTA, flash ROM, etc...Have you tried SIM in a different phone? Could be a bad radio? What does your baseband say in System> About phone?
It was the official OTA
I never updated because 4.2.2 killed LTE but then I did anyways
My baseband says unknown
Edit: the 4.3 update came, I tried updating but it said error half way through wtf!!!
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
See this a lot, updating killed the radio. You probably don't have an imei number either.
Try flashing an official factory image.

Don't waste time with doing anything else. Flashing the factory image will not get your imei number back and without it, you will never get a signal. When you call to RMA it, be sure to tell them you lost the imei number during the upgrade process. They should have plenty of lost imei cases in the system already.

Regardless it's safe to just flash the factory update, then see where you can go from there if all fails use that as your last resort

Normally I would guide you on how to fix, but since a phone shop messed it up on you it's not up to you to fix, why should you risk your warranty cause of their mistake?, bring it back and demand they fix it ASAP for free.
I bought the phone when I was in tour, more than it the knox had triggered it to 'warranty bit 1'.
Please give me a soulution !?

Not strictly true. Lots of people have no efs back up and can restore easily.
Number 1 - there's a fore script that rebuilds the partition, which the note 3 can do.
Number 2 - Your imei is stored on your box for the device to, with a little bit of adb trickery you can restore it fine.

Yer arse, if the efs is empty then your pretty much ****ed without a backup... That imei number he has is a generic default when the system can't find the original.. Edit: however I've no idea if such a script /program can regenerate the original imei number.. I had the same problem on a galaxy S1, wiped the phone, reflashed a custom rom, bang no imei.. Had a backup of efs and had it working again, phew. Reading about the imei was a nightmare..

Then please give guide me how to do it?

There's plenty of threads where people have restored efs and lost IMEI and serial numbers. - things have changed significantly since the S1 days....
amancools there is numerous threads around, search for them. I'm on my phone and searching for links is annoying.
Edit: Here's the efs fix for the benefit of poster who says "yer arse"

You don't need to back it up. The Nexus devices don't have the same problem samsung has.
But if you want to anyways, here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/efs-nexus-4-imei-efs-backup-restore-t2740788
The loss of the imei can usually be fixed by flashing the factory images.

Flash the factory image. If it doesn't work the first time try again. It's your only hope. I'd give up if I got close to a gazillion time though
If that doesn't work I'd RMA it if you can.

Unfortunately there is no way to recover this with a regular usb.
If you have a backup (hope it'll work)
If not.
Let's hope you have warranty that covers it.
If not you'll need to use a riffbox
