I have no signal on my galaxy S4 i9505, for some reason the imei is null. I've tries a few solutions but they didn't work and I'm a bit of a newbie, so I'm asking hear, how do I fix it?
Thanks
As you stated no imei means its wiped out while flashing or what you did
Check in internal storage of there is imei backup then good other wise its not gonna fix it

You can fix it. .by z3x box

Unfortunately there is no way to recover this with a regular usb.
If you have a backup (hope it'll work)
If not.
Let's hope you have warranty that covers it.
If not you'll need to use a riffbox

My S4 is currently running MF3, i rooted while in MF3 so it was that soft root stuff without the bootloader. i figured it was time for an update to 4.3 so when i went to Unroot the phone it literally just sat at the Samsung Custom Screen. I tried to access the TWRP and restore that way, Nothing happend, i took it to best buy and tried to reflash it that way, their computer couldn't see my phone.
So my last option would be to connect it into Odin correct? Would this work or am i wasting my time?
Try Odin. There is a thread with the correct files.
Also, please do not talk about smashing or purposely damaging your phone for warranty. That is warranty fraud and is not allowed on XDA.

It should work. Make sure you have your drivers and your device in DL mode when you connect it to your PC. Also use a back USB port.

Did you buy the phone brand new? -
Download ODIN and reflash your Stock ROM completely see if it fixes it.
Take it to Samsung or if you find someone with a Z3X box or SPT tool not to sure if octopus has a full working IMEI repair yet :^)

Normally I would guide you on how to fix, but since a phone shop messed it up on you it's not up to you to fix, why should you risk your warranty cause of their mistake?, bring it back and demand they fix it ASAP for free.
I bought the phone when I was in tour, more than it the knox had triggered it to 'warranty bit 1'.

Not strictly true. Lots of people have no efs back up and can restore easily.
Number 1 - there's a fore script that rebuilds the partition, which the note 3 can do.
Number 2 - Your imei is stored on your box for the device to, with a little bit of adb trickery you can restore it fine.

Yer arse, if the efs is empty then your pretty much ****ed without a backup... That imei number he has is a generic default when the system can't find the original.. Edit: however I've no idea if such a script /program can regenerate the original imei number.. I had the same problem on a galaxy S1, wiped the phone, reflashed a custom rom, bang no imei.. Had a backup of efs and had it working again, phew. Reading about the imei was a nightmare..

Then please give guide me how to do it?

There's plenty of threads where people have restored efs and lost IMEI and serial numbers. - things have changed significantly since the S1 days....
amancools there is numerous threads around, search for them. I'm on my phone and searching for links is annoying.
Edit: Here's the efs fix for the benefit of poster who says "yer arse"

Yes.
You need to always flash NE1(The file I uploaded) baseband after each rom install you do...
If you have a EFS backup prior your VN V14 FLASH you can repair this issue mentioned above.
For now you can only hope that Samsung will release more roms with the NE1 modem...

If your IMEI is same as one on BOX and message displying insert SIM card then may be it's physical issue may be damaged SIM tray OR damaged card.
Try other SIM card
Also ask your operator they have not banned your IMEI

OK, back when kit Kat first come out I flashed a updated boot loader and when I rebooted the phone will no longer turn on. All I get is a red light. It seems I had a corrupted file. I can not get into recovery, and it seems I can't get into download mode either.
So here is my question. I read somewhere I can JTAG this phone and that will fix it. I'm unfamiliar with JTAG process so that's why I'm asking here.
Also, is there any other options?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
If you tried to flash a bootloader you most likely hard bricked your phone. Do you have a link to what you flashed? If you have to jtag check out mobiletechvideos.com. they've gotten very good reviews.

I don't have the link because it was almost a year ago. I'm using a nexus 5 now but want to save this phone if possible. I'll check that out. Thanks

Did you unlock the bootloader before flashing a new bootloader? I'm not sure if this makes a difference.

Yes, I was running PA ROM at the time. Its possible I flashed a boot loader for another phone. Lol it was early in the morning, and it was totally my fault. I'm just looking for a way to save it because its in mint condition, not even a scratch on it.
So if JTAG is the only option, I'll gladly pay for it as long as it will work.
But I was told with JTAG, or motherboard replacement is required to fix what was done.
