Dear All,
I have a Motorola Defy used now by my wife.
I am now running stock Froyo and thinking of using any CM ROM. Which CM is better for me? My main target is STABILITY and ensure that everything in the previous stock Froyo works as well with the new ROM.
Can you advise me what ROM to choose?
Hady
CM7.2 20130301. Read topic before.

There is no separate thread, since both quarx and eppy decided to work on common build, there is only thread initiated by quarx already which ppl are using to discuss eppy ROMs aswell.

no.
Install CM7 its better
There are 2.3.6 based ROMs without motoblur but they are modified( not stock) such as Ms2ginger.

Problem comes here.
Some of my friends from our association including me want to develop roms based on AOKP or cm, and those development projects are based on STOCK kernel for it is less likely to crack and are much easier to test.
WHEN I dealt with 4.1.2, I made a mixture of it (mostly framework) with the older 4.1.1-stock kernel rom, and was finally able to boot on stock 2.3 kernel. (see my post on Defy General)
BUT HOW can I transplant/fix those 2NDBOOT ROMS to STOCK KERNEL without MAKING a 'mixture'? The method mentioned above is NOT able to make the latest 4.2 rom to boot.
ps. removing the custom kernel and change default bootmode into 2ndinit IS USELESS.

1. Don't yell
2. Forum rules require waiting more than 24 hours between bumps, so please follow that rule.
I'm sorry, I'm new here. Thank you.

For the sake of not littering up the dev thread and the ridicule of my fellow members I have a quick question. I installed the PACman rom and j would like to flash a new kernel. I follow direction really well and I know what I need to do to flash a new kernel. But in a custom rom I would like to know its safe to do so. And maybe try and flash some mods as well.
As long and I follow the directions that the devs post I should be fine and not brick my tablet.
