IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE BATTERY IN HTC ONE, ion-Polymer lasts for 2 years and after 2 years began to lose Efficiency.
WHAT WILL WE DO AFTER TWO YEARS WHEN THE BATTERY WILL DIE?

Well, another option would be to work harder, make more money and buy a spare ONE to continue the legacy after the battery of the first one has died.

I am not 100% sure but I think you can get your battery replaced in an HTC store, you'll have to pay if your warranty has run out..

Yes but HTC are very clever. Your battery will die one day after your warranty expires.

Is battery really dies in 2 years? I'm planning to use it longer than 2 years. If so I will buy something else. Please give a serious answer. Thanks.

Of course not... Why should the battery die in 2 years? I use my hd2 for more then 3 years now. Still with the first battery.

In my s1 it became very weak after 1.5 years so I bought Anker.
Why you think that HTC ONE will be different?
And I plan to use it for more than 3 years like I am using my S1 now.

Thats a 10% boost in power. Not that bad if it works. Wonder how much the OEM 1650's will sell for. If its more than like 15 dollars, which it will be, then I prob wont buy one.

Not likely, the cheapo batteries usually are ~1200mah batteries with a different sticker on them.

Well cant go into details really but Someone I know was returning the phone(gs4g) , got it a day earlier so I did a switcharoo with the batteries. The batteries are identical in size the only way to tell it is a different one is the extra 150mAh.
I am seeing a noticeable boost in battery life, I can now keep 4g on all day and use the apps pretty heavily without worrying about the battery level. It does take a bit longer to charge the battery fully, but I'll trade that for more phone time any day.
I have the sedio 3300mah battery, don't mind the size but it takes forever to recharge. I got the samsung charger, and fr me its better to just swap battery's.
After reading the I'm try to pick up the 1650mah battery. Thanks for the heads up

It will increase stock battery life by about 10% while being able to use the same back. The 3500mah battery is really only like 2400-2600mah while the 1650 mah battery will really be like 1600mah. To people who dont want a fatter phone or who use the docks, it would be a good deal if the 1650mah was pretty cheap. To people like me who have the "3500mah" battery, doesn't make much sense unless its REAAAAL cheap.

4800mAh Battery for the atrix!

Hello atrix owners, I'm surprised nobody mentioned this:

http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-for-motorola-atrix-4g-with-battery-door.html
has anybody tried it?, I'm ok with my battery but if this is gonna last for 3 days then I might consider it
Looks bulky. Not worth it imo. Too much money for a little more than double the battery. Plus no case would ever fit that thing.

Unless it has filler plastic or that backshell is rigid, you're going to end up with a soft spot in the case above and below the battery.

In addition to that, I have an Imax Power brick. It was like $50 but it's amazing. 5000mAh. Greatest backup battery I have ever owned. Super reliable.

Does your dad know about xda? Oh.. right iPhone's dont have any development!
He might get more battery life (probably minimal use) but i HIGHLY doubt he gets "more" out of that thing than what your beautiful..sexy..ahem your nexus gives you.

The dev is true but having both an iPhone4 and Nexus S in the house (And galaxy tab 8.9, iPad 2, HTC Sensation and One X) I can be pretty certain that you can use the iPhone a LOT more than the Nexus between charges.
The Nexus got massive improvements with 4.x though, that must be said.
Hey, am I the only one who saw the "iPhone has been plugged in since the last full charge" message??
Doesn't this invalidate the comparation?
You can hate on apple all you want people but stop with the fanboy nonsense.
It is a fact that the iPhone/ios gets far better battery life then nexus s/ android period. No if ands or butts about it.
What's next ? Blackberrys don't really have better battery life ?

And don't forget about set up . As I learned from skunkape and john Corleone from the 4g thread , set up goes a long way. These guys get close to a day and sometimes more with 4-6 hours screen on time. I get 13-18 hours with a little less screen on time. Many screen shots were provided to reflect this . To me , none of the phones are bad . Its all in what you like.

Right, that screenshot tells nothing. The numbers are since the last full charge, but don't say anything about how long it's been partly charged since then. Useless.
Fact is: I have two colleagues with an iPhone 4 and a 4s, both about the same setup (syncing apps) and usage. None of them ever lasts through the day, while I normally go to bed with 20-30%.

Wtf? No that's the input voltage to charge the battery. Haven't you guys ever played with a custom kernel with support to change the mAh when charging the battery?
What's the fascination with the battery?

To be honest I really don't know. Battery has never been a problem for me as I have the high mAh battery (3 of them!) and a dock at work and dock at home which can charged the phone as well as a spare battery. My phone sits in the dock at work pretty much all day so when I leave it's fully charged and that's plenty for very heavy use all evening. Once I go to bed it's back in the dock overnight. I never have to worry about low battery and even if I'm out all night or forget to put the phone in the dock I always have spares that are fully charged. For anyone who really cares about battery I'd just recommend getting a couple of high mAh batteries and docks and battery life will never be an issue again.

In case of battery dead or problem, what are our options?

I always used phones with replaceable batteries in the past and recently s3. But now I found new love in htc one ans pre ordered one. However, I am curious to what my options are when batteries go wrong or dead on htc phones. I notice a lot of you used htc phones in the past. Other than having insurance what did you do?

1. Get it replaced from HTC store.
2. Use a case like fuel charger for temporary period
Also like to know what's the battery replacement cost from HTC if I decided to use longer or for years, I know its too optimistic!
Doubt they could remove the battery. Perhaps they would replace the whole phone if it's still in warranty.
The phone is unibody so I don't know how they can take it apart without breaking the aluminum case.

Obviously it comes apart if you have the right tools. If the body were designed so that you couldn't get the battery out then you also wouldn't be able to get it in either lol. Much like the one X you'll need to remove the screen and the rest will be accessible.

However, I am curious to what my options are when batteries go wrong or dead on htc phones. I notice a lot of you used htc phones in the past. Other than having insurance what did you do?

Getting at the battery is easy ... I did it on my One-X ... It's right there behind that copper sheet on the middle slice ...

I think insurance replacement would be your best bet. I bought the Evo View 32gb tab when they had those deals going on about a year or so ago and the battery died on it and now its just collecting dust unfortunately..
For people who purchasing htc one from overseas, do you know if bestbuy will sell you insurance coverage for HTC one that is purchased overseas?

I've had good luck with the durability of recent batteries, but a lot of it is how you use them. These days you aren't supposed to run the batteries completely dead on a regular basis, but many people, my girlfriend included are under the impression that is what you're supposed to do. She has a 3 year old Toshiba laptop and it's battery is shot, my 3 year old Lenovo is still holding about half of it's original capacity. She also has an Ipod that needs a new battery. I'm sure her Iphone 4s will end in the same fate if I can't change her ways, but it almost never makes it through the day on a charge and she doesn't like to plug it in until she gets home or it's completely dead (if before that).
The 2 oem batteries with my Nexus One are still at least 85% as good as new, my ~ 2 year old Desire Z still holds charge like new. My best friends 2 year old Desire has the original battery working almost as good as new and my ex had the same thing with her Desire. My phones all get 1-2 days of battery life in normal usage for me, except the HTC One S I had would last 2-3 days at least. My theory is that while more difficult to replace the battery once it is shot, with better capacity and less cycles used it should last longer than the others, meaning most of the One S will never need a battery replacement in their normal lifetime for most people. Hopefully the One X, One X+ and One will be the same.
That's my thoughts. Hope I'm right.
I think you already swap a device in time of battery dead

I would think if something happened where it malfunctioned, your carrier would replace it, or worse case scenario you would have to pay the deductible price if you have insurance.
I would think your carrier or HTC would take care of you 1st before Insurance kicked in.
