Thats a 10% boost in power. Not that bad if it works. Wonder how much the OEM 1650's will sell for. If its more than like 15 dollars, which it will be, then I prob wont buy one.

Not likely, the cheapo batteries usually are ~1200mah batteries with a different sticker on them.

Who said anything about a cheapo battery. He said he scored a 1650mah from the Galaxy S 4g. I assume that to mean he got ahold of one of the OEM batteries for that phone.

That would be a cheapo 3500mah battery which in reality is like 2400-2600mah.

I have a 3500mah battery that gives me 40hrs and still have about 30% left. What's there to hooray about an extra 150mah?

Well cant go into details really but Someone I know was returning the phone(gs4g) , got it a day earlier so I did a switcharoo with the batteries. The batteries are identical in size the only way to tell it is a different one is the extra 150mAh.
I am seeing a noticeable boost in battery life, I can now keep 4g on all day and use the apps pretty heavily without worrying about the battery level. It does take a bit longer to charge the battery fully, but I'll trade that for more phone time any day.

I have the sedio 3300mah battery, don't mind the size but it takes forever to recharge. I got the samsung charger, and fr me its better to just swap battery's.
After reading the I'm try to pick up the 1650mah battery. Thanks for the heads up

It will increase stock battery life by about 10% while being able to use the same back. The 3500mah battery is really only like 2400-2600mah while the 1650 mah battery will really be like 1600mah. To people who dont want a fatter phone or who use the docks, it would be a good deal if the 1650mah was pretty cheap. To people like me who have the "3500mah" battery, doesn't make much sense unless its REAAAAL cheap.

Why do they do this?

Ok we live in an age where our phones can pretty much do anything we need on a fly but for the life of me I just don't understand why they come with only a 1500 battery. Is there a reason why they can't give us a 3000 battery or better and still have the same phycial size of a 1500 battery.

Why doesn't my car get 300miles to the gallon?!
Basically, it's physics and safety. A LiPo battery would provide more storage, however they can explode when damaged or old. Youtube showcases quite a few examples. Personally, I think Apple is crazy for using them in the iPhone 4. I'm sure they have taken reasonable precautions, but I can't help imagining the thing going off in some poor man's pants!

Yea, I dont understand why they cant just create a battery that isn't EXACTLY rectangular, so that it could conform to the entire back of a phone.. Battery life would be gigantic.

Take our phone for example. If the stock battery was 2mm thicker, it would create a cavity just above where the battery sticks out from where it could extend into right up until the camera lens.
Battery would look like this:
_________________________
________________________
__________
__________
Want that. For example, with the extended battery I have, it could literally be at least double the capacity it is now without needing a new back cover, if it really filled up every mm of the back cover.

There are prevailing techs to increase battery life if you read Engadget...but they are still in test phase..but I will say this...the EVO/TP2 battery is practically 1.5x-2x the size of our battery..so I dont at least see why they can't put a 2250mah-3000mah battery thats the size of the TP2 battery..but I guess its because we are all (or at least majority) so obsessed with thinness...
What they can also make is a back cover thats a battery >.>..I mean there is no rule that it has to be square...if they do that they can easily fit 3000-4000mah without sacrificing too much depth...

the only real problem with the lipos that i have seen with my radio control cars is that you cant let them go dead or they will not charge again, and thats about it. I know theres more to it than JUST that, like they can explode somehow but thats what i have experienced.
People don't seem to mind the weight of the Evo which is noticeably heavier than our Epics. I wouldn't mind the weight if it DOUBLED my battery life.

4800mAh Battery for the atrix!

Hello atrix owners, I'm surprised nobody mentioned this:

http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-for-motorola-atrix-4g-with-battery-door.html
has anybody tried it?, I'm ok with my battery but if this is gonna last for 3 days then I might consider it
Looks bulky. Not worth it imo. Too much money for a little more than double the battery. Plus no case would ever fit that thing.

Unless it has filler plastic or that backshell is rigid, you're going to end up with a soft spot in the case above and below the battery.

If it was only one of the 1750mah batterys then you really should've done a bit more research, 3rd party batteries typically only have ~80% of the capacity they are rated at giving you ~1400mah or quite a bit less than the stock battery.

Fyi I'm on acs rom 2.2 and the seido isn't impressive. It absolutely wouldn't last a full day with 4g on much less just 3g with pandora etc. I did all the charging etc etc. Only reason I sprang for the seido is bc sprint paid for it. My battery life blows and it's not for a lack of conditioning or calibration. I know how Li-ION batteries need to be calibrated and that they only last for about 300-500 charges. So I'm basically just kinda getting ****ty battery life.

Well, your issue isn't the Evo itself, it's your personal phone.
I too had a bad battery. Use or no use it lasted for 6 hours max. Said f it! Got extended battery. NOW its a manly man's phone! It's got some girth! Feels like a brick lol. But I'm also a power user. Even so, 17 hours of use on first full charge. Definitely a top mod in my book.

Try an SBC kernel cause battery calibration isn't ur answer. Also its not ur phone its ur kernel and also the governor and oc settings u set on ur phone.
free the dirk
Deck 1.3d. Tiamat 407 SBC. Conservative governor. (Start w 384min and 998max) Play w the values a little. Battery calibration app. V6 (optional). Don't see how it could go wrong. My battery has me in love w my Evo again after almost a year of owning it. Sense is a resource hawg. Until gingersense can figure out how to get the battery life froyo sense had it wont be back on my Evo anytime soon. I lost a t9 dialer going to Aosp...the theme engine makes up for that as mixer looks nice.
No kernel, voltage modification, or ROM is going to change the fact that your battery is bad.
I'm going with what Matty said as you all don't know what I've gone through with this phone. I've gotten all of the mods I was supposed to. I did everything possible I really think it's just a bad battery

Non-SBC kernel.
Tiamat 4.07 with -75mv lower voltage.
Admittedly, I've been using my phone constantly for the past three hours.
Before that, I was at 70%.
Stock battery.

No problem
Tiny battery (1300 ma).. And it almost seems fake. Although the phone seems real.

Typo or a knock off would be my guess.

Those light sensor FF camera holes are suspect. I imagine this phone is just one of those non working hollow devices you find at cell phone stores to give people a preview of what the devices look and feel like.

Lol, the battery isn't even in the phone. Check your depth perception.
Look at the battery prongs. Right above the Samsung logo. they are sticking out, meaning NO BATTERY!
Edit: See here is the battery in the phone - Notice the difference?

See here is the battery showing 3100. Guess you guys didn't look at the pics, lol.

Um, yes they do. Take your battery cover off your N7000 and look. I've taken apart my n7000 a few times now and every time was with a phillips screw driver.

Wtf? No that's the input voltage to charge the battery. Haven't you guys ever played with a custom kernel with support to change the mAh when charging the battery?
What's the fascination with the battery?
Battery in my note atm is 3250mAh.
It's the same size and thickness as stock battery. Why are you all fascinated with a mocked up image of one with a 3100mAh battery? Or have I missed something?

To be honest I really don't know. Battery has never been a problem for me as I have the high mAh battery (3 of them!) and a dock at work and dock at home which can charged the phone as well as a spare battery. My phone sits in the dock at work pretty much all day so when I leave it's fully charged and that's plenty for very heavy use all evening. Once I go to bed it's back in the dock overnight. I never have to worry about low battery and even if I'm out all night or forget to put the phone in the dock I always have spares that are fully charged. For anyone who really cares about battery I'd just recommend getting a couple of high mAh batteries and docks and battery life will never be an issue again.

My bad homey, I guess it threw me off as I haven't had a phone that charged at over 1000 ma before.
PS- are you from the bay area by chance? Antioch is a town out here, it's where my current office is.
