Send my Nexus Back ?! - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey XDA,
i bought my Nexus a few weeks ago, but now i found something strange, if i press at the back glass directly under the camera (where the glass begins) its klicking (dont know how to say it) maybe its like the phones with plastic , some make the dame sound if you press at the back. Do u have this too ? Should i send my N4 back ?
best regards
(I hope u understand what i mean but im german and only 14)

I wouldn't worry about it, but that's just me.

So just don't press the back glass. I swear people are so OCD
I'm sure Google will deny such a repair request.

Mine is doing the same. No worries.

Why would you press against it in the first place? Leave the phone alone and enjoy it.

Once you figure it's there, it's hard to ignore it.

You're right. I just remember the creaking near the USB connector when I press on it.

Are you sure it's not the auto focus clicking that some have been talking about?
As for me I don't hear any sounds when I press the back of my N4 near the camera lens...

Yup, if I press on the back in the lower-left quadrant of the phone (as you look at it from the back), the glass deforms a tiny bit (you can see if in the reflection) and the phone makes a "click" or "snap" sound.
If I look at the black bezel on the side near where I press, I can see it move a tiny bit, like it's snapping out of place slightly.
Who cares. Put a CruzerLite case on it and all is well.

Try this. Open up your nexus 7. Lightly press on the messed up speaker. If it is the same issue I have you'll hear the speaker pop back in.

I think you're asking how to take apart the nexus 7? The easiest way to find out how would be to look for a YouTube video on opening the nexus 7. There are many.
How i did it... Slide your fingernail or an opening tool along the crease. The snaps holding the back in place should click apart. Slowly and carefully move your fingernail or tool around the entire device until the cover comes off. Be very careful not to break any of the clips on the lid or in the device.

I have the same, and I've read that it's completely normal. From what I read it's got something to do with the camera lens.

I'm on my second N4 (first was changed for a note 2) , and they both have that. I think that is the vibrator , because as you see in the picture , the vibrator is out of any kind of structure.
Thats what sounds, I dont think is bad... but o course try to avoid any extremelly hard hit of avoid droping it (maybe this can be worst for the back glass than for the vibrator).
So it's normal.... It anoys me too but well, I have to let it go.... at the end this is an LGE phone :/
It's the lens components, parts are moving and that's how it focuses. When not in use they kind of move freely so that is why it's making noise.

[Q] Power Button click-feel

Hey guys, I just got my Galaxy S4 today. It's an amazing phone but I'm concerned about something.
The first thing I noticed is that the Power Button seems like it's flushed inside de phone and it doesn't provide a good click-feel like the Volume buttons. It's kind of mushy.
Sometimes I don't know if I pressed the button or not. It doesn't feel like clicking, it looks like it got stuck a little inside the phone.
I would like to know if anyone feels the same. If not I'll go as soon as possible to the store and exchange for a new phone.
This is a fault. Take it back ASAP Mine feels perfect, Its slightly elevated from the phone and has a nice click feel when pressing
You do not look for a nice click, just for the responsivnes. Note it works best when pressed in the middle, also give it some time to bake in.

Alright, I'll give it some time and see if it goes back to "normal" (or at least close to it).
If it doesn't I'll exchange it for a new one.
There was a small piece of black rubber inside the button.
Pressing it multiple times was making it come out. The button now feels right again.
It's pretty wierd though. I'm just glad it wasn't anything permanent.

Creaks on back (left side)

Hello,
my Nexus 4 creaks when I press left side on back cover:
Video:
http://youtu.be/LlZRw1i2TuA
No drops, used only in bumper (s-line)...
Has anyone the same problem?
Can I use guarantee in this case?
Nope I don't have this problem.
Sent from my Nexus 4
I had the same clicking problem but on the bottom and with the front glass.
I found a permanent fix for this common problem here on xda:
- Unloose the two screws on the bottom but half a turn.
- press firmly on the bezel to notch it back in
- while keeping a reasonable pressure, tighten the screws again.
Hope this fixes it even if you don't have the exact the same issue.

I have the same problem, but on the bottom right. It squeaks everytime I press on it. Will wait till my OCD takes over to open it up.

I'm pretty sure my tip above will fix your problem.
You just need a small Phillips screwdriver and unloose the screws a little.

No problem, just wanna help
But the truth is: you can unscrew about 10 full turns before the screw comes off, all you need here is one half of a turn and re-screw.
No tech knowledge required, as easy as installing a screen protector.
