A possible reason may be over load on ram ... try clearing ram before plugging in... also kernel should take care of this by itself ... visit ur kernel's thread and install the latest libraries ...
Do u have any other tweaks installed? ?

lock button is the culprit
i have a galaxy y and had a same problem, after changing roms etc , i found that this lock button is damaged..
you may have seen these buttons in tv and monitors etc. they stop working after some time because of dust.
just do one thing to check it:--
just turn it on as the galaxy y logo come start pressing lock button with frequency of about 1/second, you will see it now turned on.
just now press this lock button till the time it actually locks the screen and not show the reboot, airplane mode etc. option just press back and keep on pressing lock button till you get the result.
and then dont use the button to wake the scree instead use home button.
get this button changed as soon as possible, it costed me rs. 100 in gaffar mkt karolbagh.
tell me then whats the status of your phone after this !

First of all check your cpu settings. If it is conservative, change it to smartassv2,sio.

I have the same problem with S Y s5363.
I would try a CM optimized (without do a backup... ) but after the installation It started to restare randomly after few second. So I tried to install the previous version of gingerbread but it's still continuing to restart. It's very frustrating.

I discoverd the problem happens when I insert my Italian sim. Before I flashed the rom it never have happened. So I'm trying to find the original stock rom (O2UK) to undestand if the problem is the sim with the roaming because I'm living in the US.

Did you tried an hard-reset or factory wipe ? this should fix things but you will loose settings, apps and other data.
how to root SGS after upgrade?? nw I hv 3e recovery instead of 2e recovery , Can someone post a tutorial or steps how to root and also which is the best lag fix for 2.2 need one asap as the phones lags too much almost unusable!!
How is the browser with flash set to on demand?
Does it lag like xwjp6?
I thought they would base it off xwJPA.
xwJP6 is very unstable...
@gkg, you can search for recovery 2e in the development section and get it done from there.

Lags less after factory reset, but you loose all your application and its data which sucks. Battery performance has improved, at least it seems like.

You need to put the phone into download mode. Volume down -> Home button -> Power.
Then use Odin to flash a new ROM. Best advice is to google "flash rom using odin galaxy s2".

Re-flash, enter recovery, wipe data.

Why are you telling him to flash the firmware again? He's flashed it and is bootlooping because of come data incompatibility that requires him to do a factory reset from recovery and all will be working properly after the reset.
what an ass, maybe this phone will work, if he ask more gentle for the solution
The OP is now over in our forums now trying to unbrick what appears to be his third device.

[Q] Galaxy Y[GT-S5360] display problem

Guys,
I am in a pretty f***ed up position right now.First i would describe the situation in chronological order:-
A few days back, I flashed Hyperion 8 latest build downloaded from xda onto my phone.I had already rooted my phone long back.
The flashing was successful, My phone started up as good as new. After using it for about a week, suddenly one fine evening, while using it,
the lcd display started flickering. Initially it was like the brightness was increasing and decreasing randomly, but then it(the display) started turning on and off completely.I thought that on restarting the phone the problem would be solved but when i turned it off and then back on, the display woke up for the one last time and then has been off since.
I have approached our local mobile repairing center who said that he had tested the phone and conclude that a particular IC on my phone had fried. My dad asked him the reason and he suggested that it was because I had flashed a new firmware. My dad has been cross since and has refused to take it anywhere for repairing. My beloved phone is supposedly dead. and i don't know what to do. Please suggest something?
Thanks in advance.
:crying:
First of all Hyperion is banned in xda then how you download it from xda???
Hyperion is banned because of too many wares..
Well have you flashed stoke rom via odin??
If not then try it

what did the technician said the problem was? what did he do? i have the same problem also from flashing hyperion rom.
That's stupid,
The issue was caused by faulty circuitry not by firmware,
I hate the banned roms but i'm sure they can't cause hardware failures,
It was most likely the phone was awake with intense brightness over a prolonged time and fried the circuit or maybe the circuit just fried itself randomly
That technician is a idiot same with the whole 90% who exist in this world.

How to Disable Capacitive buttons on CM10 or AOSP based roms!

Just check out sth on XDA and with some trial and error I got it working right.(thanks cyberanarchy)
Do a nandroid backup in case of failure! This is only if u have softkeys which u can enable with the softkey enabler from the playstore on any AOSP rom.
Just use any root explorer app.Go to system/lib/hw and here find the "lights.find5.so" file and rename it to whatever u want in my case i did "lights.find5.so.zip".That will disable the capacitive button lights upon reboot.
For the buttons themselves head to system/usr/key layout/synaptic.....(has the name synaptic in it and it's the only one).Copy this to ur computer for backup purposes if u didn't do the nandroid already. Now open it as a text file and delete everything inside.Save and reboot.
Hit Thanks if u .....u know.....

[GUIDE] Add Haptic FeedBack to Softkeys

Hello guys..
Firstly This guide is tested on 4.4.x roms, Try on Stock rom at your own risk
So Guys this is a simple and short guide that helps to activate haptic feedback on our device i.e Galaxy Grand Duos.
There are many sammy device which supports haptic feedback on softkeys. Unfortunately Our Galaxy Grand doesn’t by default. Some people hate haptic feedback on grand but people like me, loves this feature. I google’d many times and failed … but my friend @LuK1337 helped me to activate this amazing feature on grand… a Big Thanks to him…
So without wasting time in intro, I ll begin the guide :
Requirements:
Any Root Explorer.
Your phone
And Some some part of your common-sense
Warning :
Before doing any experimental stuff, just for safer side, make a backup of the same.
Ok now let’s begin the real game..
• Launch Root Eplorer
• Navigate to /system/usr/keylayout
{

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
• Now open Generic.kl with text editor
Search :
“key 139 MENU WAKE_DROPPED”
&
“key 158 BACK WAKE_DROPPED”
Yo!
These two line are responsible for haptic feedback.. Now, Just replace “WAKE_DROPPED” with “VIRTUAL”.. It will look something like this
key 139 MENU VIRTUAL
key 158 BACK VIRTUAL
Done…!!!
Reboot Your Phone…
Whoila! It works Cool! isn't it...!!!

Yes I have a grand duos and by haptic feedback I mean the vibration that I get on long pressing the back, menu or home button, have you enabled it for instant presses also.
