PDA - "I9000UGJK3.tar" thats the only file you flash with.

hey trick thanks, but also if i update it will it relock it to bell? im currently using it with fido

Probably not a bad idea to hard reset before and after as this is a major version jump (if you're coming from 2.1 Eclair).
Will give this a go in a bit.

Just tried a Rogers Sim and no Re-lock the phone is still unlocked and works with Rogers..

hey guys tried to flash it with odin, and nothing!!
i loaded teh .tar in the PDA part
and i pressed Start
and all i get in odin is
"<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)"

Are you in Download mode? If so close Odin, remove and reinsert the USB cable, and re-open Odin and try again.

Does 3 button download/recovery still work as well?
If it does is it 2e or 3e recovery?

The iPhone is the only phone I know of that relocks after a software update. Mind you, iPhone unlocking is not a true unlock...
Anyways, if your phone is unlocked, flashing a new rom will not relock your phone

Now to root.. since this ROM comes with the 3e recovery. I have yet to find a root that works yet...

Just flashed it onto my captivate and 850 band is working and everything seems alright so far but I can't go driving around to make sure it stays working good when it switches towers and the like. I will post back with how it affects battery later.

[Q/problem] bootlop, wifi and mobile network - none

I give up
my phone is from official poland samsung branch
everything was good but after install some Custom Rom I got boot loop
I did full wipe and tought it will help but didnt
I downloaded official 3files old(first) samsung rom and installed via odin with PIT
phone get up but no wifi and network GSM signal and back of my phone was very hot and after couple od seconds reboot itself
I have chacekd my CSC and I got CYO (greece) , one again I have downloaded official by this time one file rom for CYO region and install by odin v3.07. again no network, very hot phone and reboot after 40seconds ...
I have no idea what is going on ..
any help ?
just inform :
I can boot into recovery , and download mode
I can install CWM,TWRP

I have the same problem

I noticed that in download mode there are two new rows like bootloader enabaled something like that which was not there befor... can any body check. So may be this is the real problem for flashing stock rom by odin as bootloder is modified. So we should see bootloader for effected member and non effected member.

[Q] Probleme with brighness OMG [not solved]

I have a BIG probleme lol ,
I do not need to describe the problem the video speaks for itself ( sorry i put the video on mega.co.nz )
i just start to upload the video on youtube
and the question :
how can i fix it !
Explication : there was no problem until I restart the phone in recovery mode. but before this ROM, I install the ROM omega V20.1, but wifi does not work I followed the manipulation he told me to install a bootloader, no result I returned under cyanogen mod CM 11. and now I'm here lol

If u hadnt this problem before with Omega V20.1, this will be problem of the cyanogen mod CM 11 firmware. If u still wanting this firmware u can ask directly in their forum or install other custom/Stock Rom anyway :highfive:

arf i didin't remmenber but i just remenber odin say failed in red lol , after this error my phone get bricked with this message : firmware upgrade encountered an issue .
i have flashed an old modem , philz touch and i just flashed a zip of 4.4.2 pre rooted stock but the screen il always and always same with any rom

- Make a full WIPE in Philz Touch (data, system, cache and dalvik cache)
- Reboot in Download Mode
- Flash one STOCK Rom by ODIN
- Dont flash more things till ur phone will be stable :highfive:

[Q] Data Connection in CM7

I have installed almost all available CM7 variants for our phone. But one thing is annoying me. I can't connect to mobile data. I used all available kernels for CM7 and also stock. I also followed the installation procedure step by step.But still no luck. Mobile network says, "connecting" then goes disconnected after a few seconds and it happens all the time. Can someone give answers to me?
This is my very first post. So please forgive me if anything is wrong.

Try flashing back to stock rom.....is network data working on stock????
I am also using cm7 based rom havn't faced anything yet!

CyanogenMod 7 for Galaxy Y is in RC release however there is still bugs like that which is only encountered on your device. You should flash to Stock ROM using Odin since Data connection using CM7 is causing problems on you.
And welcome to XDA! .

That's sad. Device specific problem eh. I'll try flashing back to stock when I have the chance. I don't have a PC.

Yes. Data is working on both stock and miniROM for me. The only thing I can do now is to restore a CWM backup of stock because I don't have PC.

Ok get a chance n Try falshing back to stock rom via odin and then try again to flsah CM7....
It may work...

You can use the tool made by @.rio of xda developers! A Odin for Galaxy Y that doesn't need to use PC. You can find it in the Android Development forum in Galaxy Y.

Yes I know that. But he says, param.lfs is not working. What does that mean? I have already modified the param.lfs in my phone because I installed a custom boot logo.

Hey man. I flashed back to stock using rio's tool. Still no luck. I installed CM7 Reincarnation S5 edition. But my problem still persists. Mobile network state says, connecting. Then says disconnected afterwards. I don't know what to do anymore.

Go to a computer shop and Odin it. Or go back to stock ROM again using rio's tool. I think it's a problem of CM7. :highfive:

I just reverted back to stock now using Odin. Guess what? Mobile data still not working.

Must download and flash full stock ROM
That means BL bootloader, CP modem, AP system and data + recovery CSC or Home CSC if you flash CSC phone will wipe user data means factory reset. If you flash home CSC you keep all data.
Trust me it will work.
Download full stock ROM unzip all files plug in your phone then flash all of them.
DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR PHONE OR MOVE THE USB CABLE WHILE FLASHING OR YOU END UP WITH THAT SCREEN AGAIN!
Also make sure you download the right binaries for your country, your phone etc... it will work don't worry.
