[Q] Galaxy Y[GT-S5360] display problem - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

Guys,
I am in a pretty f***ed up position right now.First i would describe the situation in chronological order:-
A few days back, I flashed Hyperion 8 latest build downloaded from xda onto my phone.I had already rooted my phone long back.
The flashing was successful, My phone started up as good as new. After using it for about a week, suddenly one fine evening, while using it,
the lcd display started flickering. Initially it was like the brightness was increasing and decreasing randomly, but then it(the display) started turning on and off completely.I thought that on restarting the phone the problem would be solved but when i turned it off and then back on, the display woke up for the one last time and then has been off since.
I have approached our local mobile repairing center who said that he had tested the phone and conclude that a particular IC on my phone had fried. My dad asked him the reason and he suggested that it was because I had flashed a new firmware. My dad has been cross since and has refused to take it anywhere for repairing. My beloved phone is supposedly dead. and i don't know what to do. Please suggest something?
Thanks in advance.
:crying:

First of all Hyperion is banned in xda then how you download it from xda???
Hyperion is banned because of too many wares..
Well have you flashed stoke rom via odin??
If not then try it

Can you go into recovery?
Download?
Have you tried reviving your phone through the
soft brick ?hard brick ? Guide...
Try a USB jig ..<- that helps ...
If the service center guy says a fried IC then there is nothing you can do about it...

Extract zip u wll get 2 files
Then go to system/lib/egl
Delete egl.cfg and libGLES_hgl.so
Then copy the extracted files to system/lib/egl/
Set permission to both as

what did the technician said the problem was? what did he do? i have the same problem also from flashing hyperion rom.

That's stupid,
The issue was caused by faulty circuitry not by firmware,
I hate the banned roms but i'm sure they can't cause hardware failures,
It was most likely the phone was awake with intense brightness over a prolonged time and fried the circuit or maybe the circuit just fried itself randomly
That technician is a idiot same with the whole 90% who exist in this world.

Would you please elaborate like where kolkata exactly did you repair the phone?
Also did your problem occur after flashing some firmware? Any approximate cost?

Is the setting in the rom that automatically adjusts CPU frequency possibly responsible for this?

So you say you got your board replaced. But how is it gonna help anyone here ?
In my service they just replaced M/cx IC Linear Fuel Gauge chip
I got that 0% baterry problem too.. with that "Red light of Death" and guess what... they gave me a new phone and they put a new anti-scratch on the screen... Thanks SonyEricsson...
To everybody on this thread:
As this problem occurs due to unlocked bootloaders which means that there is no more warranty cover of the device, did SonyEricsson service repair your phone without any charge for you?
Thanks!
Heard of that, yes
Or just relock it

Yes in matter of fact the gave me a new phone...
God !!!!Help us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Final solution
Finally, I decided to get it to SonyEricsson Service and they changed my motherboard. I had unrooted it and relocked bootloader.
When I sent my phone in (Three UK) I had the phone replaced. The old one was bootloader locked, and the new one was bootloader unlockable
The only solution
I rooted and unlocked mine again. Using the right tool, this time.
My real problem was that they needed about one month for changing the motherboard.
And when they returned it to me, touchscreen didn't work. But they changed it immediately.
I wonder why everybody having the same problem and having still a valid warranty of his phone doesn't solve it by geting it to SE srevice. This is the only permanent solution.
But still thanks to bazoocaze for his effort.

I got this problem ages ago with a locked bootloader, which contradicts your point. They replaced the phone within a week.

Im wondering if its possible for me to send my phone for repair as I live in Greenland, and there is no SE Service here. Will they support me if I send it internationally?

[Q] Help! Wifi anda pass wifi

Hey guys, yesterday install a custom rom (vn v 15) tube during installation some drawbacks until recovery and could change the flash, when I start the phone had no signal or wifi, trying to follow until I gave up and returned to the DMC1 stock rom now it does not store passwords and takes to turn on and off.
I have done a backup with some mods and custon kernel that restores and works perfectly.
try again to flash the stock returns wifi problem.
which can be the problem?
surely it is a matter of software.
It is a three note Unbranded, SM-N900.
Sorry for my English and tnx.

not modify the warranty but still not solve the problem
I had exactly the same problem after flashing VN Rom v.15 and the Samsung Service Center told me that there was and hardware damage (the COMM board) and the only way to solve the Wi-fi issue were to change the module A/S ASSY-PBA MAIN (COMM) the reparation costed me about $ 180. After that my Wi-fi on N 900 restarted to work fine as usual.

can reset the counter to 0 and bring it to samsung, warranty took care of the cost and was told the same thing to you. you stay well repaired? Note: be careful with these custon rom. use s2 s3 s4 many in note 2 and note 3 nexus etc, is the first time it happens
I really didn't know how to reset the counter to 0, but I guess Samsung Center can discover if the phone has been rooted and had installed a custom rom even if the counter was reset and the software reverted to a stock rom. Of course Samsung Service try to find any way to let the warranty be not usable.
Anyway the reparation took only 3 days and on my request they installed different rom (SER-N900XXUENF3-20140701140214) from the original one with only Thai, English and most other Asian languages not really useful for me and after the reparation Samsung also extended the warranty of my N900 for another 3 months.

Seems to me that your camera lens has some dust stuck in it, I had faced similar problems on my old Nokia. Try prying open the back cover then checking if the lens is clean. The flash becoming yellow isn't possible

I don't think this problem is software related, this is more hardware related. If all your efforts are failing then you'll have to show it in the service center, cause this is a rare problem

Nothing happens on its own. You must have flashed something wrong. Or you could've dropped your phone.
BTW, if you flash stock ROM with stock recovery, they are not gonna find it. And you can easily get your phone repaired.

Well, they would atleast give it a look. Maybe, find out that somebody has opened it earlier. But, give it a try. And btw, why don't you go to the guy who changed your display. Tell him, its his fault. Maybe its just a loose wire and he could fix it.
And download from here instead, if you haven't started yet.

Yeah in tried to fix if it was due to software, i tried to install official firmware Lollipop but it didnt booted. then i tried Marshmallow using Odin, Odin passed but didnt booted.. it was having continuous bootloops so again i reverted back to N910GDTU1ANK3_ODD1ANK3_India_v4.4.4_Repair_Firmware .. Phone is ON but with same issue.. Wired thing is that i am only been able to Install Philz touch recovery but anyother custom recovery like n910g-cwm-recovery-6.0.5.1(1101) or twrp-3.1.1-0-trlte.img are not booting into recovery...
Now as i am back to official 4.4.4. i tried to check using dialer code *#0011# ie of service mode. i am posting the image kindly tell me Guys if anything is wrong or something is preventing it from getting registered to network
when i am going to setting of my phone-->more network-->Mobile networks-->Network operators--> ( i can clearly see the network of my sim card over there)
but when i am trying to select it after sometime of registering on Ncell it says Unable to Connect
Guys please help..
