The message when getting the OTA update can be translated to 'Increased stability'. The size is 50 MB when coming from XXDMB2. That's all I noticed for now.

Can we have a deodexed version

I've had my device crash while getting hot using modern combat 4. It was such an issue that I changed from a case to a bumper to get better air flow. I hope the update solves this. Waiting for French rom before updating.

Me neither!
The only problems I've had since purchase have been with the SD card. I hope they addressed that problem.

Does this update fix the WiFi PSM bug?

unfortunately it doesn't. Does anybody know the fix for the Wi-Fi big? But I don't want to change kernel.

Does it boot? What issues are there so far?
Nice! great job man, way to take this community one step farther.
Awesome! Personally, I'm more interested in a Cyanogen AOSP ROM (regardless of what version of android it is) than I am any Samsung ROM, Froyo included.
Dumb question though. From reading, I gather CM6.2 is on hold due to bugs in the DK28 kernel. CM6 is a ground-up AOSP ROM based to Google's source code, isn't it? If so, why are bugs in the DK28 kernel causing problems with the development of the AOSP ROM? Just curious and trying to maybe learn something .
Does this have any legs to it? Or will you still be held back without the kernel source code. My understanding was the cm 6.2 was put on hold due to kernel and modem issues I'm just curious if the same will be for cm7.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Does this mean a flashable ROM is coming soon, or is this just a proof of concept?

Think of the kernel like the engine of a car. So the project car (AOSP) is built from the ground up with a crate engine (DK28) dropped in.

JRO03L 4.1.1_r4
Im curious about these statements:
Adjust output to 2 buffers of 880 frames each. 4months ago
enable triple buffering on crespos. 3months ago.
Does this mean that crespo didnt have triple buffering until now? There were 2 buffers. Im confused with this. Can someone explain?
Sent from SpeedMachine i9023
Will this ver. JRO03L be released or ported for Nexus S, aka. Crespo?
My guess is JRO03L will either be an OTA for the Nexus 7, NS4G, Verizon Galaxy Nexus, or Verizon Xoom. Normally JBQ will only tag new builds in AOSP if they are officially released as OTAs first.

Probably an OTA for the 4G/LTE devices, since those weren't released yet and lots of stuff that were added is for LTE.

What are you talking about? As best I can tell, all that's changed is a bunch of stuff for SMS and one small modem logging change in the toro kernel. That hardly qualifies as "lots of stuff added for LTE".

On another note, there seems to be really lack of AOSP developed ROM's here, no AOSP JR03L build yet. Too bad AdamG went off xda.
Seriously.. AdamG ROM JellyBelly was really good...cannot wait for Oxygen JB version.

Why can't we get Jro03r source...?
Google doesn't necessarily release the source code for every OTA. We never saw source code for either of the Xoom ICS updates (IML77 and IMM76) either. AOSP is releases always come after an OTA, but not every OTA sees an AOSP release...if that makes any sense.

Well bro what we think/see stable might not be stable!
Really I've updated how many times already, 5 or 6, and in just 3 months, and I'll call them downgrade as they killed this device's good battery backup in terms of tick-tack gimmicks, it shows Samsung is not polished, that's all.

I'm not complaining at all, provided actual changes and fixes are included with the updates. However, lately it seems samsung is pushing one update after another with the exact changelog, so these end up being more of an annoyance than an enhancement.

I have Wi-Fi disconnect issue from time to time, while using the connection, not while sleeping. Happens few times a day.
