have you flash a custom rom?

Just go to sammobile, search i9300 in the firmwares section, download the firmware. Then open a new tab, search how to use odin, flash the firmware through odin. Or just download the latest rooted firmware by zoot1.

1. Look at the post above.
2. Personally, I think that rooting is something ... how to politely say...
it is for persons who know what they are doing and why... therefore I think that users should:
a) unpack and charge the phone;
b) in the time of charging read the quick guide;
c) recognize what they would like to do and how they could do it (Google use highly recommended);
d) turn on the phone looking on its current status;
e) look for the rom/soft which suits their needs;
f) if there is no other option: root it.
o, I forgotten about the OP individual needs: sometime between c and d they should ask their mum for pampers replacement.

Yep goes for all of us at times clenched buttock time .

as far as i know when u are rooted your updates are desable.. u have to update your device using ODIN and the ROM that you want to.. Once your device is unrooted it will be able to be updated, also i believe that the flash counter most be reset ( with Triangle Away you can do that)
Status most be normal and not modified ( rooted phones are modified )..

If u rooted ure device u can't have updates thru kies.... If u don't wanna flash a custom ROM what was the point of rooting your phone.... Now since your phone is rooted try flashing a custom ROM and u can get to 4.1.2 or even 4.2.x....
Try it and ull be all good...
PS After rooting your device Kies becomes pretty much useless

Which region of Leaked 4.2.2? U can backup game data from helium app. This app is useful to backup data without root. So I don't have idea about 4.2.2 official.. May be its stable.. If u r using 4.2.2 Russian firmware so u cannot update Indian firmware through ota.. I think its better to flash via odin.. As I don't know about running tracker on triangle away.. I havent tried it..

i dunno which region of leaked version i downloaded from anindya mukherjee's video 'android 4.2.2 on samsung galaxy grand' in the description there ws a link to hotfiles and i downloaded it from thr

Yes.. Helium app can backed up to internal and external storage. There is option backup to internal or external SD card..

If you dont have Custom Recovery (CWM/TWRP) then you can simply download and instal the update zip package through stock recovery. If you can't download because of modified system settings then use TA to make it official
Do u mean Triangle away? If yes then that also does not help. It downloads the file but fails to update. Any work around on this?

Sent from my GT-I9082 using Tapatalk
Yup, I mean Triangle Away. The update shall be downloaded but the update zip can only be flashed through stock recovery. AFAIK entering into CWM immediately modifies your system settings to Custom and update zip wont load on a modified system. I am not sure whether you can flash stock recovery through CWM.
Hmmm... I went back to stock to get the updates.

Does anyone knows when can we expect a Europe 4.2.2 update?

4.4.2 Firmware

Hey guys.
Had some great advice in some of my other questions and I thank everyone who posted. Everything always helps.
Just before I do this, as I've been informed that you can't go back to 4.3 after updating bootloader to 4.4.2.
Which would be the latest 4.4.2 firmware I should flash for N9005 in Australia? I then want to flash custom roms like Xnote etc. Knox will be triggered after I flash a custom recovery am I right?
Thanks guys. As far as I can see NC3 is the latest.

You can flash other (earlier) 4.4.2 roms but you can`t downgrade to a 4.3 rom afaik
Oh cool. That's fine then. All these have open MSCs right? So I could technically use it stock? There will be an English option? I mean if it's all on there I don't know why Samsung doesn't release it at a faster rate, ir more at once... If indeed it works fine. I'll probably change straight away to a custom rom but still, it'd be nice to see what vanilla kit kit is like.
