[Q] Need Help Rooting Samsung Galaxy S3 Developer Edition - Galaxy S III General

I'm a total newbie when it comes to rooting devices. I've never done it before but I wanted to give it a shot. I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 Developer Edition and have tried to find tutorials to root the device with no success. Tutorials I found don't apply because the build version for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Developer Edition are not the same. Has anyone rooted the Developer Edition successfully? It'd be great to get some help.
And just for a little backstory, I needed a new phone and saw the Samsung Galaxy S3 Developer Edition was on sale for cheaper than the one straight from Verizon which is why I bought it. It didn't occur to me that the Developer Edition has no support at all.
Thanks for any feedback any of you can provide.

Wrong thread. Your model isn't the I9300. Following anything on this thread will most likely brick your phone.
Good day.

Its just like a normal SCH-I535 but the bootloader is already unlocked....so your one step ahead?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition (GT-I9515) - CM/other Roms & Root?

Hello all!
I'll go straight to the point. I've got Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition (GT-I9515) and I really want to install CyanogenMod with full functionality; but there is not CyanogenMod for my GT-I9515... I read that after installing the CyanogenMod 11 for the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) on the GT-I9515 the touchscreen and wifi didn't work. The same goes for the root files. I didn't find a root files for my GT-I9515 to root it.
So if anyone will find here or somewhere a CyanogenMod and root files for my GT-I9515 Galaxy S4 Value Edition, please paste a link or something. Or if there is a developer who can make CyanogenMod running properly on the GT-I9515 I would be really glad if he could make it work properly.
Thanks in advance!
God bless you all!
Hi,
All I can find is a discussion thread about your device here....you can read up on it...and ask questions there if you wish...

Good luck!

[Q] Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 Developers Device

I'm new so please help, not hurt. I have looked every where but can't find a thread on rooting a Samsung Galaxy S5 developer device on Verizon. I bought it right from Samsung in May of 2015. It came out of the box running Lollipop 5.0. Does this mean I have to down grade to Kitkat before rooting? Can someone please direct me to the proper thread. Am I screwed?

i am at loggerheads, too, to restore my Samsung Galaxy On7 to working condition with Google Play Store, et AL..,
first i tried to ROOT it via tried and tested methods (i tried ALL working pre-Lollipop root strategies) but this one is a tough NUT to crack! so needless to say, KNOX kicked in and eventually soft-bricked my device
so i used a "Stock ROM" i found on sammobile to restore it but to my surprise there was no Google Apps, so i am in a position that is WORSE than back to square one because i am ZERO, i am NOT ROOT and i lost Gapps which i cannot restore either
any help on this will be greatly appreciated, as all solution i found on Chinese Forums so far are all paid and not genuine help / guide, please see:
1. Samsung SM-G6000ZCU2APA1 ROOT SU2.70 https://translate.google.com/transl...=http://www.sxsjroot.com/thread-8640-1-1.html
2. This links to a paid download from this thread here: http://bbs.xxroot.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1217&extra=&page=1
3. This is a ROSTER of cache on Baidu that lists ROOT solution and they are all paid, i am willing to pay, but is this even legit? or really working? or just a rip off? we'll never know i won't risk paying online before seeing / trying the merchandise without any guarantee.
my device model number is: SM-G6000, quite different from India/Brazil or Korea models, so maybe those have different hardware that won't work for us if we use their img/Firmware, which is more common online
what do you think guys? what is your model number?

Rooting Galaxy S8 SM-G950W (Canadian S8 with Telus)

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to root my old S8 that's just been lying around. I haven't rooted a phone since the S4 mini and before that the HTC Evo 3D, so I'm a bit rusty.
I found a thread about the G950W and rooting it, but it now claims to be discontinued. The new thread that was linked only indicates that it's for the G960U.
I also wanted to mention that it has Android 8.0, and I feel like I recall seeing something that said only 7.0 can be rooted? Has this changed? Maybe I didn't look hard enough?
I believe my phone has a Snapdragon processor and I don't recall seeing OEM Unlock under the developer options.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

No oem unlock. Still root 7.0 only. Look up extreme syndicate thread and you can root 7.0 from there
So since my S8 has Android 8.0 I'm out of luck then? After looking through the thread I didn't see any mention of G950W or rolling back Android 8.0 to 7.0.
I updated my S8 SM-G950W to android 9 and all the threads I find in forums say android 7 is required/or OEM unlock is required/OR bootloader must be unlocked. I haven't found one starting from android 9 with the Canadian variant with the bootloader locked. Any thoughts on what to do from here?

[Q] Update Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (SM G-531H)

Hello,
I am new in this community. I have a Samsung grand prime sm-g531h. I recently rooted the device successfully. Now I wanted to know that is it possible to upgrade my android version to 9 or 8? How will I do that? Is there any problem if I do so?
I don't have experience in this matter. Please help me!

Looks like you've already been on a quest for compatible ROMs by posting "works on SM G531H?" in several threads last year (try to avoid multi-posting). No luck so far? Judging by the very limited search I've done it doesn't look very good for your device, does it? I've also noticed that this device still has a button on the chin! Maybe it's time for a chinbuttonless upgrade? Not discouraging the quest for upgrading old devices though! Definitely applauding that but sometimes it's just a dead end. I hope someone else can provide better news.
