You're right. I just realized that too he didn't say anything about charging. Oops. It's that darn battery bug.

Clean your MicroUSB connector

Use some alcohol isopropilico, and clean the usb with a brush.

Thanks both will try it. Strange thing is that it show it is charging and then it is not every second in about phone. Also under stock.
Now it is ok under latest asylum but did not charges it. Will do that when battery is empty.

Does it say this for anyone else? It used to say discharging.

guess they realized that "discharge" was the worst word in the english dictionary
Charging (AC)
Try unplugging the cable from Charger and the tablet and unplug the charger from the wall, then connect everything back up again. This fixes it fro me most of the time.

Yep just realised that after I updated to android 4.2 last night on my galaxy nexus. I thought it was weird!
Exactly what it says. How long does it take on average to charge your nexus 7? Thanks.

Using a 2.1A charger and not playing on it while it's charging, probably 3 hours top from 0%. That's roughly what it was with mine about a week ago, I think I have the battery history still logged in battery monitor widget pro, if I do I'll dig em up for exactness.
About 3 hours from empty to full charged with stock charger on mine.

With the stock charger, about 3 hours, maybe a little over.
Yep bout 3 hours here also for a full charge.

Hmmm actually mine is charging from 0% to 100% in 3.5-4 hours... weird
I bought the stock dock, and sometimes charging is super slow if I don't get it seated perfectly. That problem aside, does anyone use the dock, and what are their charging times please?
This has happened twice now. Left phone charging overnight. Alarm failed to wake me up for work because the phone is off. If I try to turn it on with the charger on I get a flashing red light but if I unplug the charger the phone turns on with a full battery. I use the same charger every night and its happened twice in about 2 months. Paranoid ROM the first time, now I'm on Purity with semaphore kernel. Any ideas? Thanks.

Is your device new?
Have you drop it before?
If yes then the cells in the battery has damaged
if no, you can try calibrating it

Do you have a recommended calibration method. I tried one a while back but it didn't help.
Am uprooted, a
I want to calibrate it
Well i use root and what you should do is Charge the battery to full then unplug the charger > Use phone normally without charging until the phone depletes at 0%
Recharge the phone to full again and PROFIT
No root needed
2. Method > Charge the phone to 100% > unplug > use it normally
Must be faulty battery because we have done that repeatedly

I had the same problem, just buy a new one from anker. They work great, I got 2 along with a external charger. I keep one in my car armrest and one in my office and I never charge my battery anymore, I just swap them out.
