Does it say this for anyone else? It used to say discharging.

guess they realized that "discharge" was the worst word in the english dictionary
Charging (AC)
Try unplugging the cable from Charger and the tablet and unplug the charger from the wall, then connect everything back up again. This fixes it fro me most of the time.

Yep just realised that after I updated to android 4.2 last night on my galaxy nexus. I thought it was weird!

I'm praying that I don't have this problem AGAIN! My galaxy nexus had that "charging issue" where it would say its charging all the time. No chargers worked for it so I had to buy an external battery charger. On top of that the phone would wake itself up randomly. Destroying my battery time to 2-3 hours with light usage...
My nexus 4 isn't charging now. Literally just doesn't want to charge, tried 3 different USBs and nothing happens. I am going to murder someone if I go through this again. I don't wanna send mine back to Google or LG because I'm lucky enough to have gotten a "perfect" device, no yellowing, creaking, rattle. I can't take it anymore :banghead: has anyone experienced this?

Leave. Don't talk like that.
Manufacturing defects happen. Get a wireless charger if you can't wait.
I'm having a hard time all of a sudden charging my battery when I'm using my phone. This happens on any charger not just stock...has anyone seen something like this before on a phone?( I know its common in tablets). Any help would be appreciated...I would like to rule out hw issue but I've done a factory reset and its still happening...

It's most likely your charger is causing the issue. It happens to me as well. Try using a different one and make sure it's plugged in tightly on the phone and the outlet or USB jack.

Meh. I live in Serbia, I don't think that anyone will replace it for me... Btw, I tried reconnecting the battery cable, and before my battery was empty, the pc wouldn't recognize the device. I tried the oem cable, multiple outlets, nothing...

Yes, replugged the battery cable, tried powering off from bootloader, but I think my issue is specific because my nexus 7 was working just fine, apart from not charging. I also can't acces the bootloader, I only get the empty battery sign. And I get the same sign when I want to turn on the device.

As the title says. It stops charging.
If I press *#*#4636#*#* it shows ac connected but not charging.
This started on 4.3. Never saw this on 4.2.2

It's probably a safety net feature. To avoid complete meltdown. Charging heats up the phone too.

Yes it might be but it is really weird cause when it stops charging, it doesn't resume once the phone has cooled down. You have to unplug and replug.
Which isn't very helpful.
Btw totally stock.

That's happened to me when play in summer and just use the fan. Checking the cpu temp shouldn't clock past 50 degrees or it gets pretty bad. I usually just place it in the fan, then on the air conditioner for a minute or two and usually keep the cpu status app open to watch the drop in temperature. Atleast Nexus keeps this safety throttle, S4 would probably give you a nice bacon house.

I think is not CUP related but battery related. I am trying to upload 2 pics but for some reason upload is not working.

Well if the cpu heats up so will the battery both are working hand in hand. It's like your engine is hot and so will your spark plug be. For the safety of the parts and since lithium ion batteries are dangerous when overheated, it's a safety net.

Haha. Thanks I am Greek not Russian
The two screenshots just show how the one in the higher temp is still charging and a few minutes later it stopped and the other one with the low temp says that battery is overheated, AC connected but not charging.
The guru app I think it helps a bit as about 5%, but no more than that.
