I have just seen the video for the new Ouya Console and had a great thought .....
Would it be possible to port the controller to work on our notes?.
I for one would prefer to have a controller that is specifically designed for android.

I know there have been various internet success stories using this controller with android for emulator gameplaying, The secret lies in the fact that it does not have an external adapter that plugs into the wii
Should any wireless (no adapter?) Wii controller work?
or the new one for the Wii U
I guess my goal would be to find an xbox-thubstick style controller. I have heard reports that you can use an ps3 controller with android, but I really dislike the playstation thumbstick layout.
I allready know about the following,
Nyko Playpad: - poor reviews, dislike the price, but about average for the market
Nyko Raven - This could be a good choice, but again average price
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Ever played emulators on your ouya and thing hmmm this dpad is not the best
for my favorite emulator, well here is your answer.
it's an all in one controller adapter to usb. It supports almost any console
controller out there: Atari 2600, 5200, Jaguar, 3DO, neo-geo, Turbo Grafx 16...etc requires no drivers as it is generic hid compliant too.
Works on android.
Any help would be awesome.
If you back it please leave a comment on the kickstarter page saying you heard about it from here and from me please.
I got the MOJO controller working correctly on OUYA. Much improved controller for a much improved experience. You need to insert the dongle though.
I have a MOGA pocket bluetooth controller somewhere , but it's nowhere near as nice as the nvidia shield controller. I have sideloaded a couple apps that want to use a moga controller , and while I'm sure I could attach a moga controller to the Shield Android TV, it seems ridiculous to have to do that when a superior controller exists as standard. Some games (I own the Need for speed game) only allow touch, motion, or moga.. and it would not allow me to use the shield controller. Anyone got any ideas? there are apps that make the moga work on games not made for it, but I've yet to find a way for the shield controller to pretend to be a MOGA
This would be very useful for what i need it for too, i want to play NOVA 3 and it has moga support and sort of recognises the shiled controller as moga wierdly, but again the issue with the right analog stick being a mouse and not being able to map the buttons. So the app to make shield tv think shield controller is MOGA would work for a lot of games we otherwise would not be able to play. very useful
is there anywhere I should request such a thing be made? I mean, I can't donate toward it right now... but I'd be interested in proving there is interest for such a feature or app made available to shield devices.
Yeah I think it has to do with the Shield being Wi-Fi direct instead of Bluetooth. Im pretty sure someone could hack it via root.
Hi everyone, new to this section, I have a mojo gamepad that is struggling to connect and work with games on my android tv box, I read from these forums that the mojo is different and cant be upgraded to sort issues with bluetooth and games.
So my natural question is can this gamepad be flashed to a CTRLR as it has a micro usb and some programmable software presumably is there any way to do this, it could be a good general android game pad but mine has so many gaming issues that it barely works, also these profiles are there any preconfigured as I cant find any for 3d games like shadowgun, MC4 etc.
Thanks for any support or help on this.

Any ideas on hacking or updating the controller at all, trying different android apps in the hope of getting better use out of the controller.
Thanks
Hello,
I am new with Android TV. I bought a Tictid D1 Max Android TV box, and I am trying to play games using game controllers.
But I have had time to let game controller work with it.
- Xbox One controller :
I tried an Xbox One controller (in bluetooth) which does work very well with an Android tablet (almost all games work fine on my tablet with the Xbox One controller).
But on my Android TV box, no success with this controller (the box does recognize the controller, I can use the controller to move inside the Android menus, but no game work with it).
- Bluetooth Switch controller compatible with Android and PC :
only one game worked.
- 2.4 Ghz multi platform controller (PS3 / PC / Android / Android TV) :
So far this one had the best results, but still very bad results : 3 games out of 20 tested were working fine (and I tried to switch the controller in all PC / Android modes).
So here are my questions :
- as it seems to be a software issue on my Android TV box (input drivers ?), I wonder if this problem is specific to my Tictid D1 Max box, or if this is the case for all Android TV boxes ?
- is there an app which would increase the game controllers compatibility with Android TV games ?
- is there a specific game controller which is known to be working with almost all games on Android TV ?
Thanks !
Something like the Rii RK707 might work. I have one & it works fine on PC & Android, but I haven't tested it much with Android games. It's also not as ergonomic as a dedicated controller.
