Please help!!!!!

Hello..I know that you said only to post new threads if it is a real problem, and this is!!!
I have my Touch HD for about 8-9 months and i would like to upgrade its ROM to WM 6.5...i've read everything, the wiki, many threads etc, and i have chosen quite a few cooked roms that i liked(about 10), but when i try to flash them i get the same msg: Error [262]: Update error - the ROM update utility has encountered communication problems during the process..
What am i doing wrong?? i dont know what else to do, im hopeless...am i missing any steps?? anything that i have to install before?? im a bit confused to tell the truth...
i would be very gratefull to anyone who can tell me 2-3 steps to do this one and for all..

HI guys i am using hd am facing problem while update the rom to 6.5 while update rom the error like this:

Hi there,
According to the diagnosis list of error codes (found here), Error 244 means the following:
You have used the wrong RUU to do the upgrade. RUU will check if the Model ID and Language ID are compatible with the device. Make sure you use the appropriate RUU tool to upgrade. This can also be caused by a mismatch between the CID of the rom you trying to flash and your device.
Please follow this guide and read it carefully before attempting again.

Read , re-read and read again all info in the stickies and wiki. It tells you everything you need to know. There are no short cuts to getting it right.
As for which rom to flash, try them all and make up your own mind which is "best",

That's no problem matey, its a pleasure to help.
As mentioned by Stuntdouble, carefully read through the guide (link for it posted above). All the information you need to unlock your phone using the Hard-SPL or USPL method is explained in great detail.
If you have real trouble following the guide posted above, then see this guide as it tells you how to unlock and flash a custom ROM onto your phone, step-by-step.
To give you a better idea on what ROM to choose I think it's always a good idea to first find out what one looks for in a ROM (i.e. speed, performance, reliability, etc). Click this link for more information one the latest builds, it will help to make your decision easier friend.
If you have any more related questions, all you need to do is post here again.

can you install android on stock rom? all the faqs mentioned some sort of custom rom. hardspl looks to be also recommended and not definitely required

You can install over the stock ROM but I would suggest a new radio: 2.12.50 works well for many.**You have to hspl3 before flashing the new radio.
Check out the stickied threads on the first page. They will guide you through most of the questions that you have.

Do I need to flash new baseband on StreakDroid 2.0.0? / Baseband Down

Hi, first the baseband download in StreakDroid 2.0.0 Thread is down, if someone can repost it, it will be perfect.
On the other handsite I would like to know, if I should flash these new version?
I use it in Europe/Germany and my actually basband is:GAUSB1A131800-EU
So should I flash it? Does it work in Germany?

You don't need to flash a new baseband. Steve took it down because engineering basebands are really power hungry.

Might I suggest that before you mess with it you take the time to read the thread on v2.0.
In it (several times, in fact) was mentioned that the amss was pulled. You don't need it. There is a different baseband to use.
Go read the thread and you will find most of your answers there.

If you Have a Question Regarding Streakdroid it should be asked in the streakdroid thread and not in open forum

Read my HSPL guide here, it has instructions on returning to stock. I do have ONE change to note for you. Do not use the rom I recommended in that post, but instead use "RUU_Spark_W_S_VERIZON_WWE_2.04.605.02_Radio_NV_0215_NV58008_RELEASE" as that older rom has trouble updating via Zune now (I will revise my guide, and include links to Football's rom thread in the section about returning to stock). You can find all stock Verizon roms that are public in Football's rom thread, stickied in the development forum.
SPL can still be downgraded even after updating to Tango, and if you half brick the bootloader with this Mango v3 rom, you can fix it by running Zune update to Tango.
(BTW, this thread should have been in the general forum)
Can you describe what your phone is doing? If your getting an "authorization error," that is fixable.
