Actually I am developing a rom by extracting Jellyblast's contents.
I used UOT kitchen for customisation.
Where should I extract its contents
Make a folder on Desktop called "My Rom" or watever you prefer then extract all the contents to that folder.... Edit the updater-script to ur liking and then start ur workwith UOT kitchen once you got a finishedzip from UOT extract the systemfolderto the "My Rom" Folder on Desktop... Then setup cygwin and put kitchen and cook your rom Then while making the thread give credits to the main rom maker

hey guyz do any of u know how to make a cab from the setup.xml file..actually i made a cab file which has about 190 files..and i misspelled the name of the directory in them..now i cant change all of them so i extracted them with 7zip in a folder ..now i have a file called setup.xml..i opened it and then changed the spelling of the directory..now how can i make it to install..please help guyz
I think you'll want to extract all the files into the same directory then run cabarc.exe to make a cab file with all the files.
first extract the inf file from a cab using MSCEInf.exe (from the zip file i included)
Then u can edit the inf file and use cabwiz to make cab.
it is no use to extract the xml file, at least not to my knowledge.
WOW thanx alot
This is only my third theme I have made, so don't be to harsh when critizing (not spelled right I know.) it. Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.
To Install:
1) Download zip file
2) Extract .theme file into internal storage/themes
3) Extract the globe.png and the globe_selected.png file and use TC to move into windows folder.
4) Extract wallpaper where ever you keep your wallpapers
5) Use diamond config tool to install theme.
6) Change wall paper
7) ENJOY!!
NOTE: I could not upload the theme, because the file over exceeds the limit for zip files on XDA. Here is a link to the theme on ppcgeeks and on smartphonejunkie.

Very cool! Thanks
First of all I want to thank EFN for old style kitchen that I have been using for long, but time goes on and we need more optimization and kitchen thats also easy to use.
Kitchen needs testing, so Chefs please reply
I780 kitchen test 1. (WM6.1 /WM6.5)
1.1 Dumping EXE.
Drag Exe Vista or XP firmware into DragEXEhere.bat
in output you will have i780.bin. Follow step 1.2
1.2 Dumping a BIN.
Place official Samsung ROM bin in root of the folder and rename it to i780.bin
Run DumpBIN.bat.
2. Upgrading
Edit SYS and OEM folders, upgrade XIP.bin(/backup/xip.bin) with XIPKitchen(LennySh) from /tools/xipporter (you must have donor XIp to be able to upgrade). Folder XIP is dummy and doesnt affect on XIP, but dont delete it.
3. Finishing. Making new bin.
Run BuildBIN.bat
> i780.new.bin is new flashing ROM.
Notice: you will find "moduled" files in SYS folder, they looks like folder with file name. There shouldnt be more than 20 mb of moduled files othervise system will not boot( normally you have to have not more than 300-350 modules). You have to use recmod.exe on some modules you want to convert them to files. (drag every module folder into recmod.exe, remove new files from moduled folder and detele folder)
I have completed this kitchen from analog kitchens of many other devices and I still not tested this kitchen about oversizing.
But its working for me, and new ROMs seems very quick!

OK so I am apparently too stupid to work this out.
I have taken cabs and downloaded the files in teh HD2 LEO package thread for .NET framework 3.5 and 3.7
Your directions are to merely copy the extracted folder to the SYS folder. (I assume and check it off to add to the ROM) So, do I uncheck the original netCF? I am thinking no and havent done so.
At any rate, the folder structure I have looks like what is in the EXT folder for other packages (has a files folder an app.reg and an app.dat). I notice though that the SYS folder is pretty flat with files directly under the package name and I don't see reg files or app.dat files.
Having copied the decompressed folder to the SYS directory and checking the box I don't get it in the ROM. WHen I run apps that require 3.5 I get a message stating its not in the ROM.
Thanks for any help! Thanks.
Copy the attached file (extract it) to your EXT folder, select it and unselect NET in your SYS.

I tried your suggestion, thanks, and it did work for my 3.5 apps but I am also running the VLINGO app that came in the new ATT ROM and it complains at bootup with an exception that isnt there when the 2.0 framework is installed. For the record if I manually install the framework it also works fine.
I guess I will need to pick apart the install and make my own framework package from that.
Ok I made my own package that co-exists with the 2.0 framework, perhaps mark this solved? Should I attach my package?
Hi guys,
it took a lot of time but i figured out how to cook in a theme and make i default
What you need (would link, but i'm a new user and can't)
Theme as CAB-File
reg2provxml by ervius
package creator by ervius
What to do:
start the package creator, choose your theme-cab and convert it
inside the folder containing the cab file there ist a subfolder, named as the theme-cab (\folder with cab\folder named like cab\)
there u find a .tsk file, rename it to cab and convert this with the packagecreator
there will be an another subfolder, with has an rgu file (\folder with cab\folder named like cab\folder named like tsk)
rename the cab back to tsk
combine the rgu files and add the follwing line:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today]
"Skin"="\\windows\\ThemeName.tsk"
convert the rgu with reg2provxml
rename the provxml file to "mxipupdate_themename_001.provxml"
cook in and you are done, theme is loaded by default
Nice work
It will be easier if u keep ur theme file *.*.tsk as it and include it in ur Config.txt file
