Please help me! I am stuck at the "cyanogen Mod 7" boot on the droid pro.
Here is what I did:
1: I rooted and installed cm7 from vanilla_lvl
2: I installed droid 2 bootstrap
3: I clicked recovery.
Now it won't move!
Update: I fixed it by sbfing back to 4.6.8 in flash bootloader, then updated to 4.7.3 using stock recovery, then I cleared everything using stock recovery.

you have to use RSD lite...
hello friend ...
I suggest you use the RSD Lite 5.6 to reinstall the sbf from att of motorola bravo. once installed on your bravo, root whit SuperOneClick with improvements for Motorola devices, find in xda... after you must be install the apk SndInitDefy so you can access the backup you generated...

Since I did it 3 hours ago, the steps from stock are
(0: Deal with stock crapness)
1: Enable adb (Settings/Applications/Development/Android debugging
2: Root with SuperOneClick 1.95 (I have best results with it)
3: Enable Non Market Apps with SuperOneClick
4: Reboot Phone
5: Install Defy 2nd-Init and use Latest
6: Reboot into 2nd-Init (press Volume Down when green led flashes)
7: Select Stable Recovery (Recovery\Stable Recovery)
8: Make Nandroid Backup (Backup And Restore\Backup\Backup All)
9: Wipe Data\Factory Reset
10: Wipe Dalvik Cache
11: Install Rom
The only time you don't need to Wipe Data\Factory Rest\Dalvik is when upgrading one rom to the next released version, and even then it's better to just install the rom from a blank slate then restore what's needed from backup.
Good Luck.
Okay so I am not a noob to the rooting community, but something strange has been happening. I was recently on stock .621 and wanted my wi-fi tether back for my iPad, so I did some research and did the .621/.604 Linux SBF and Root. All is good when i am on that except my 3G almost never works so I installed the "BoostedICS Beta 1" and "Gummy 1.0.1" Roms (Not at the same time). The installation went smooth for both roms and they worked awesome..., BUT when i try to reboot the phone or try to go into CWM It just freezes on the boot logo or it goes into a boot loop and the phone wont start back up, so i have to keep doing SBF. I just sbf and am in CWM and wanting to install gummy again but i want to know if their is something i can do before installing it again that will stop this problem?? Please help!?
How I am installing roms:
1. Boot into CWM
2. Wipe Data/Cache/ and Delvik
3. Install Rom
4. Install GAPPS
5. Reboot
BUMP!
Try wiping system also.

I used to have CM7 RC1 beta on my Droid X. Today I tried to flash AOKP from this topic:
http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/aokp/45623-rom-aokp-unofficial.html
and I can't get past the Moto logo. The exact steps I too were:
Boot into CWM recovery with Droid 2 Bootstrapper
Download rom zip from below and the latest official Gapps from goo.im/gapps
Boot into Clockwork Recovery
Wipe Data/Factory Reset (format system as well if on a rom with bootmenu)
Flash the rom zip then flash Gapps in the same recovery session
Reboot and enjoy AOKP
Where you messed up was using Bootstrapper to get to recovery. You are now "bricked" but it can be fixed. Bootstrapper is needed after initially rooting to hijack the recovery so that CWM can be installed. After that it is not needed on 2nd init ROMs. To access CWM you use the Power Menu and then choose Reboot>Recovery.
Now on to fixing your phone. Do you know how to perform a SBF? That's what its going to take to get it back.

Yes I can SBF. So I SBF, reinstall clockworkmod via the Bootstrapper, then install AOKP right?
Yep. SBF, root, install D2 Bootstrapper, install ROM Manager.
Open and run Bootstrap, open ROM Manager and update to latest CWM. Then in ROM Manager reboot recovery and flash away.

I can't post this in dev section because it's my first post, so I'll try asking here.
I have a Droid X on the .621 firmware that I rooted using the "DX ezSBF & Root 2.3.4/4.5.621" which worked like a charm [THANKS sd_shadow & phifc]. Then I decided to install Kiladar's "[ROM] CM9ICS with APn Support for cricket or sprint flashed from verizon" & the ICS Gapps. All went well with the installs until I rebooted. Now I'm stuck on the boot animation for CM9, I cannot access CWM recovery because I can't bootstrap outside of the OS. I can access stock recovery, but that will not allow me to reflash due to signature verification error. Does anyone know what I can do now?
[EDIT] Fixed the issue by going into stock recovery and doing a factory reset. Rebooted, loaded OS, now so far, so good.
Hi,
I installed this SBF using RSDLite: DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_ND_SIGN_UCADEFYEMARAB1B80AA004.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNGIBRRTNORD_P011_A013_Service1FF.sbf.gz, (GB Nordic SBF).
Then installed Framaroot 1.4.1, rooted the phone using Gimli exploit, said root successful.
Then installed 2ndInit 2.4, said install successful.
Rebooted two times, went to custom recovery, everything seemed ok. Wiped data/cache/system using AromaWiper.
Then installed the latest fixed CM7 (cm-7-20130710-UNOFFICIAL-jordan_plus-signed.zip).
Upon reboot, the phone is stuck in bootloop. I'm still able to enter the custom recovery, so I guess 2ndinit worked, but installing the aforementioned CM7 results in bootloop.
I tried scanning through the All-in-One guide here, but couldn't really pinpoint what exactly is my problem. Could someone help, what would be the steps to take to get my phone running CM7? I'm able to flash SBF and at least seemingly flash zips via custom recovery, but I suspect there is something wrong in there since the flashed zips don't seem to work.
EDIT: If anyone can help? Is it that 2ndinit was installed badly? Reinstall from SBF, re-root, pay more attention to 2ndinit install?
In the All-in-One guide I find some problems with 2ndInit and talk about GoAPK SystemRecovery? Would that help?
