My Nexus 7 is not charging till its gets completely discharged. It is only few days old. This was rooted. I remember charging once by connecting to wall charger once after rooting.

Hey people.
So I have an issue with my battery on my N4. I left it to charge over night in the wall charger and when I woke up my phone was stuck at 66% charge. I unplugged the charger and plugged it back in. First it's showing that it's charging via the AC but changes to USB after a few seconds. I rebooted my phone twice which fixed that problem. However, charging is very slow now (so slow that the battery drains faster than it charges) and when my phone is not charging the voltage keeps jumping up and down.
i.e: at 53% charge the voltage is at 3734mV but jumps to 38xx mV all of a sudden and then jumps back down again (not the first voltage but to a different one again such as 3778mV). Is this behavior normal? I don't think so.
So should I be worried or what can I do to fix this? Maybe fully discharge my phone? But I'm worried that this'll affect my batteries life in the long term.
I've had this phone for around a month now and I'm fairly scared that somethings wrong with my baby.

So before I go to bed I always turn off my phone and plug it in the wall charger that came in the box. This morning I woke up, turned my phone on and it only charged to 47!! Has this ever happened to you?
Btw I'm on the march 3 build of paranoid android, faux 7r2 mainline kernel, latest PA gapps and the new bootloader and radio.

I don't turn my phone off but I did have one night where I plugged it in and the charger did not seem to work at all (woke up w/ ~40% as well).
Stock, unrooted here.
Had this happen to me once or twice and mine kept showing its charging after I unplug it. I found it only does this with the stock wall charger so I bought a new 2.1 amp wall charger and now it charges without any problems. I think the stock wall unit has a high rate of defection.
I've been having this issue for over a week now. I plug the phone into the factory wall charger when the phone is below 10%. I go to sleep and wake up the next morning and the phone is at 3% and didn't charge at all over night. I take the phone to work with me and plug it into my office computer via USB and it charges throughout the day.
I've tried different wall outlets and wall chargers. The phone will not charge if it's turned on when the battery is below 10% from the wall charger. Is anyone else having similar chargning issues?

Probably a bad battery, although I would exchange the while unit out. That is definitely not normal
I can go from 5% to 100% in under 2 hours while charging

Hi. I've got a Nexus 4(rev 11) and Nexus 7(2013 edish) and both are running stock unroofed 4.4.2 at the moment. I'll describe the Qi charger I using at the bottom to avoid clutter. The issue I've been having is that when I place either device on the charger at night, they both seem to charge, and then rapidly discharge once full. Using previous research, the general consensus seems to be that Qi chargers are supposed to stop at 100, and kick in again when the level drops a bit. This seems to only happen for me as I once put my N7 on the charger at 56%, and when I woke up, I found it charging at 22%. When I put the N4 on, it seems to have discharged to in between 65-78% remaining by the time I get up. Can anyone shed a possible reason as to why the devices won't continue to charge?

I have a none rooted Nexus 10. Just recently updated it to 5.0.1 from 4.4.4. Ever since the update the battery barely chargers. For example, last night the battery was completely dead, so I threw it on the charger. After about 6 hours of charging, it went from 0% to 29%. I know that the charger itself is fine, I used to use it as my charger for my Nexus 5 and it never slow charged it like this. Could this be an issue from the update? I've attached a pic of the battery status.
Just an update, since I first posted, the tablet has been plugged in charging. Reached a high of 33% and is now DOWN to 26%. What could possibly be going on ?
I got the same problem... Slow change.. Any idea?
Hi,
I had a similar issue recently. All I did was use another cable with the stock wall charger. I was using stock cable + stock charger and had these problems, then I picked up my Kindle cable and put on the charger and it was fine again.
Battery had an estimative of 7-9 hours to charge got down to 4-5h.
All the best,
~Lord
