Thats interesting.
I'm not good at porting whole ROM, I hope some devs will be interested in that.

soooooooo?.....
We already have gingerbread up and running with the .29 kernel if I'm right? It's fully functional, so the kernel shouldn't be a problem I think.
Sense is a pain in the ass to port since everything is closed source with Sense so it is a huge undertaking. Not to mention the Hero doesn't have many devs to begin with and the most active one (Feeyo) doesn't port Sense.
Villainrom are trying to fix the camera on 2.2 sense so i can see them porting this in the future.
After all they did fix camera on 2.2!
Villain is doing so, and well a dev on cronos is doing the same thing. And again we got 2 fronts doing the same thing XD....
They could possibly do it as a TEAM but i cant see that happening tbh
im working on this, not yet got the rom to boot and it may be quite difficult due to kernel, i believe its not a requirement for 2.6.35 kernel, minimum that should work fully is 2.6.32, i will post a test release once i have it booting
That would be huge! Fingers crossed good luck

Ok if that is the case, I really think HTC failed there XD
Yeah, that's a fail from HTC...

Meh, gives RaiderX something to do

i have a question , now we have the updated rom for 2.2, for the flash player 10.2 version seem like also unable to use and install into the android web browser.
any one have try?
X8 processor DOESNT SUPPORT Flash player, so whatever firmware you use, it wont affect anything.
How about flashlite like the one that comes built in the gingersense rom

even without flash,2.2 and 2.3 rom are much2 faster and smoother than stock 2.1...plus it have app2sd which 2.1 does not have..if you want flash support..buy a higher end phone such as htc or samsung.
Use skyfire browser

Adobe has declared that full flash support will only be available for ARMv7 CPUs. perhaps the one in the huawei is flash lite...? or maybe has a skyfire browser.
u've had enough of us guys saying? go rant in adobe's forums then.
//edit: btw... gsmarena's info is sometimes questionable... nothing in huawei's product site indicates that it support flash... and what's more...

One benefit of Froyo that doesn't apply to the Huawei IDEOS is full Flash support for Web browsing. Huawei says that the IDEOS doesn't have enough processing power to offer full Flash support.

Adobe is responsible for this.... it keeps the arm6 incompartibility on the background in the shadow of "requirments".

...the videos are not play on browser but on "youtube.apk"... flash are not only videos.... and this is spesific an youtube flash player.... it just run the video, not the youtube flash player.
If it was full flash support the player's layout would be the same as on the pc.
I don't think it is imposible to be our arm6 supporded by adobe, but curently nobody is working on it.
So i was wondering if i can upgrade my SGY to ics 4.0?
Or can it damage my phone? or is it not safe?
And if i finish upgrade my phone am i be able to play games that require an higher android version?
please answer.
Thanks in advance,.
^^
no.
CM9 is the closest ICS-based rom for SGY,
it is unstable and unusable for daily use
use search function,
and look for current developments in the development section
CM9 by WhiteXp is still Unstable! Generally people theme their ROM to look like the Firmware they Like.....
Note - these are not ics 4.0 rom
u can use nemesis rom , hyperion 8 rom which is jellybean styled rom..bt nemesis rom fully jellybean themed rom but its lag lil becoz of its launcher u can remove its launcher...it will be smooth..
No you can't, at least that's what I heard till now...
But you can try Custom ROMs and flash an ICS Theme to it. Like Repencis v3.5 ROM, and this is for the ICS Theme
Well, you can't upgrade the mobile to android 4.0. CM9 is very unstable, and that really the only rom which has the features of ics. Roms such as jellyblast don't work.

You can also try ICS_fusion by hell_lock.
It gives ICS like experience.
Generally THD games require JB+,but some might work on GB.
Just try using cf3D plugins.
Just edit your build.prop if u want to play ICS games.
Press thanks if I helped.
And devs correct me if I am wrong.
But won't editing the arm v6 to arm v7 put your device in risk of overload? I mean, armv7 requires a floating point calculations, right?

definetly impossible,
armv7 is a CPU architecture which means it has to be configured to the diodes in the chip itself,
even with instruction coding it will not work
you can't make armv6 to armv7 via software code,
same thing as pasting 2 pentium 4 cores does not make it a dual core

Adreno Libs for JellyBean MR1 4.2
version 04.02.02.060.053 Vanilla
Hi,
week ago i was searching on XDA for Adreno drivers for JellyBean 4.2, but i found only not working crap. So, i downloaded latest version from Qualcomm Developer Network and replaced libs. WOW! It booted! Got about 10% better score on AnTuTu OpenGL-ES 2.0 3D benchmark (i know its not good benchmark because its has ****ty and laggy engine but still 10% is significant increase). Also in games... minimum FPS is higher and also got less FPS drops. After week of using it i'm posting it here.
These libs were tested on two Adreno 220 devices: SAMSUNG i727 Skyrocket with CM 10.1.0 RC2 and HTC Sensation with CM 10.1 by Albinoman887
If you want, make backup. (Only System partition changed)
Just flash the zip in recovery
If not working, wipe cache and dalvik-cache
Only for ARMv7 devices with Snapdragon SoC runing JellyBean 4.2 AOSP based ROMs !!!
EDIT: Working on CM 10.2 (Android 4.3) too!

Its for 200/300 series so 200/205/220/225/305/320 should work.
You want to try it on Xperia Mini? Ok but make backup first. Reply if it work or not.
I flashed your zip on my htc Evo 3D GSM (adreno 220) with cm 10.1 and it didn't boot. After htc green logo I get black screen.
Wiped cache and dalvik.
Inviato dal mio Evo 3D GSM
Flashed it on my Optimus G e973 (Adreno 320) and it's working like a charm. Awesome.
Edit: I got 19873 on Antutu benchmark with the old libs...and now 21989 with the new one.

hi guys, i'm currently using NexusHD2 JellyBean rom. it can be overclocked up to 1.2ghz, but i saw on internet that with CM7 hd2 can be overclocked up to 1.5... i would overclock NexusHD2 JellyBean CM10.1 to 1.5ghz.. but i don't know how to... sorry for bad english
You need a kernel that supports overclocking to such frequency. I didn't overclock my HD2, and most times I used the kernel that came with the ROM and didn't bother to change.
Use the sticky in the NAND development section to look through kernels, and flash the one that has overclocking and works on your ROM.
Edit:
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322639 I think this should work for you, follow the instructions and, as always, make a back up. (Though if something ever happens, you'd just have to flash the stock kernel back but I'm telling you to back up to disclaim myself anything should happen to your device.)

should I keep jelly beans on 1.2ghz, or should I install ICS on 1.6ghz?
I can't really tell you, because it depends solely on you.
Why not try both? You've tried JB on 1.2, backup and flash ICS with 1.6 and use it for a few days. See which one works best and use it. Good luck.

well, in jellybean or ics, i think overclocking more than 1.2 ghz is very risky. rom developers remove this option aswell as kernel developers, because in those builds it may brick your phone
