[MOD] NEW Adreno libs for JellyBean MR1 4.2 WORKING! - Android Software Development

Adreno Libs for JellyBean MR1 4.2
version 04.02.02.060.053 Vanilla
Hi,
week ago i was searching on XDA for Adreno drivers for JellyBean 4.2, but i found only not working crap. So, i downloaded latest version from Qualcomm Developer Network and replaced libs. WOW! It booted! Got about 10% better score on AnTuTu OpenGL-ES 2.0 3D benchmark (i know its not good benchmark because its has ****ty and laggy engine but still 10% is significant increase). Also in games... minimum FPS is higher and also got less FPS drops. After week of using it i'm posting it here.
These libs were tested on two Adreno 220 devices: SAMSUNG i727 Skyrocket with CM 10.1.0 RC2 and HTC Sensation with CM 10.1 by Albinoman887
If you want, make backup. (Only System partition changed)
Just flash the zip in recovery
If not working, wipe cache and dalvik-cache
Only for ARMv7 devices with Snapdragon SoC runing JellyBean 4.2 AOSP based ROMs !!!
EDIT: Working on CM 10.2 (Android 4.3) too!

Its for 200/300 series so 200/205/220/225/305/320 should work.
You want to try it on Xperia Mini? Ok but make backup first. Reply if it work or not.

I flashed your zip on my htc Evo 3D GSM (adreno 220) with cm 10.1 and it didn't boot. After htc green logo I get black screen.
Wiped cache and dalvik.
Inviato dal mio Evo 3D GSM

Flashed it on my Optimus G e973 (Adreno 320) and it's working like a charm. Awesome.
Edit: I got 19873 on Antutu benchmark with the old libs...and now 21989 with the new one.

+1 flashed on HTC Sensation with Albino's ROM

Doesn't work on my Xperia Ray, stuck on kernel logo.

This is awesome!
You should post this in Skyrocket android development!
ePSXe for Android is noticably faster, as well as the OS GUI as a whole!
Oh well, I'll post it for you in the meantime .

[FIX] N1 Kernel + Adreno drivers + WifiFix [Edit 2012/05/31: added another kernel]

This is Wifi fix for the ICS kernel by shaky156.
Please see the below link for the thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26159482&postcount=3730
Also, i added the latest adreno drivers into the zip. So the zip contains the following things
1. Latest N1 kernel from Shaky156 (I didnt modify this)
2. Recompiled wifi kernel module
3. Latest adreno libraries from Qualcomm
Please flash it from recovery.
Note:
It has been known to work with the latest Evervolv's Aosp TexasIce and AOKP for Passion roms..
No idea about any other roms. try it on your own risk..
Edit 31/04/2012:
I have made a modified version of new Evervolv kernel. Please check it out here..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26782507&postcount=29
SUPER!!
It's super smooth! much better performance on TexasICS! I could find wifi signal but didn't try to login. would try it later.
I can confirm I have 100% working wifi after flashing this on texasice's ics rom....and OMG TEH SMOOTH.
glad to know
glad to know it works..
the smoothness is due to the HWA changes by Shaky156 and the Qualcomm driver.
please refer to this thread for more details..

That is what is was created for, however it works on any ICS Rom..and works very well too.
WIFI doesn't work on sense 4
Must i flash just after i installed the rom or wait until it booted ?
Wifi doesn't work with MIUI either . I try to turn it on, but it will not turn on...
I didnt release the wifi module when i released the kernel for test hence why it doesnt work on some roms, sense 4 doesnt have wifi working in first place

I think this thread needs to be moved to the Development section so other developers could review and provide their inputs.

I flashed the kernel on AOKP Milestone 5 ROM and it's very smooth. Wifi works. I set max cpu to 1190Mhz, if set above that got bootloop. Min cpu 245Mhz with no SoD.
Flashed over BCM. Wifi is working. It's super smooth and stable.
Thanks

sorry for your trouble.
This was never meant for MIUI roms.. works only on the latest Evervolv's Aosp TexasIce and AOKP for Passion roms..
Tested on BCM. Great Kernel!
Works absolutely great on BCM CM9.
Yeah, I confirm how well its working on the BCM 9. Awesome Job
Could someone post the kernel from Shaky's 0.4 beta?

The kernel is attached on the first post on this thread.
Fantastic kernel it is too. Using it on BCM ICS and in conjunction with GreenPower free I'm getting fantastic battery life.
I've 55% left after 13.5 hours with 2 hours screen on usage. Half on 3G half on wifi. Very impressed.

Erm... are you sure this is the *latest* kernel? Its dated 18/5, the one that was Shakys initial release. The 0.4 beta is dated 24/5.
Or are there no updates to the kernel? On the dev thread Shaky says there are.

New kernel (not on our device ), hardware acceleration, new UI and ofc lots of improvements...
The biggest difference is the UI..
Once you use ICS you will begin to love its UI..
On our phones ? Not much. Try getting a phone like, lets say an S2 or a Nexus S which had both GB and ICS and you will see the difference
nothing special really.. but of course eye-candy improve a lot in ics but performance is indeed lower..
Bootloader Unlocked + nAa 14 + PrimeHd 10.0 + Cypress Digitizer + 787Mhz Overclocked + 8Gb Class 4 = 894 Antutu 3d Score + 2688 Antutu Benchmark
Hope developers will made nAa or Alfs kernel with 192mb of ram too or more, like in JB!
The firmware version and the ui
..
the biggest difference is in performance

I test naa ics and jb, have 185 & 186 respectively, and alfs v9c have 187 mb of ram. This isnt better in jb, because of huge usage of RAM on a fat ROM.
The cause of many ppl use ics or jb is the ui, the best, but on our phone its slow. Even better a gingerbread rom with jb ui: GingerDX, smooth and beautifull
gingerbread and ics differences
the differences is:
1.the firmware and the UI
2.the kernel which kernel are u use????(stock, alfs,nAa and anastasia)
3.the launcher
4.the apps install(sometimes walkman ics not work on my gingerbread)
5.name(of course )
6. the android version(u can type the android 4 times to check the differences between them)
7.gb is heavier than ics(without custom kernel u cant try ics like a boss)
8.busybox(my friend told me if busybox for ics minimum is over 800kb and gingerbread is over 650kb :v )
hope if it's useful :highfive::good:

[Q] ZTE Blade JB libs

So, as i flashed JB 4.1 and then 4.2 on my cousin's ZTE Blade (ARMv6 600MHz and Adreno 200), it confused me that it has FULLY FIXED PROJECT BUTTER. Even on 4.2! So i thought.... can we use Blade's libs on HD2?

Probably not, though you can always try. Different hardware and drivers, no?

If you have a 50% chance of being right, you will be wrong 90% of the time...
Yea, but only difference is the CPU. I'm using WP 7.8 now, so I can't try :/

[4.4] [Mod] Qualcomm Dalvik & Bionic KitKat Optimization...

Tested on all 4.4.+ Roms seemed a little improvement mostly on benchmarks scores....?
Make a Nandroid before anything & flash at your own risk...
Don't use ART.
ZIP consists of optimized bionic and Dalvik libraries plus all necessary dependencies. If you end up in a bootloop after flashing, simply re-flash your current ROM. No wipe needed.

**EDIT** Please note that this is all stock except for root.
Thank you!

I haven't had time to see "real world" impact on speed or battery but thought I'd share the numbers at least.
Thank you again!
Yeah, got 4k boost in AnTuTu score from this.
Haven't really noticed any real difference, though.
Yeah, this optimization works great with overclocking too, stock rom/tk-glitch kernel.
Has nobody else used this yet? Will this work for any 4.4 rom, cm 11 or aokp? And is this better tha trying art?

I have it installed. While I hadn't benchmarked this device prior to flashing, I can say that I'm getting in the 24000's on Antutu post-flash. I also can't speak regarding ART as I haven't enabled it since rooting and only ran with it on for the first day I had it so I don't remember.
Edit: all else is stock, aside from this zip.

30k? How did you get this kind of score? I'm overclocked to 1.8GHz, haven't flashed this, but got 23k is all.
Is there any noticeable advantage of flashing this? I always love to improve my tablet.
Are these any different from the ones here?

Hello, I'm newbie here. I just downloaded the files. How I flash this patch. I did press vol down and power but I cant choose any thing. just written ' downloading do not turn off target'
Closing this thread - it is painfully out of date, and long replaced by other threads. Please do not bump year old threads with new questions.
Additionally, given the problems that this can cause if you don't understand what you are doing, i can only give the friendly recommendation that you do far more reading before attempting this (or other similar tweaks and patches).

Over 50k Antutu score

Oxygen 2.3.1 x with
Performance CPU Governor on Stock Kernel
BusyBox
SuperUser
Xposed(Amplify , Greenify, GravityBox)
ABS Tweaks(http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/tweak-arkaynine-boost-script-v3-0-t3120404) <-awesome mod
Antutu Score: 51126
Wow. You need to do a tutorial on this. That's just flat out amazing. That's like 5k less than devices equipped with an SD 810 with probably an even better single core score. Great job,

You can directly flash these mods on any rom any kernel. The best MOD I have came across is L speed mod.

It isn't just you. On cm12.1 for me it says snapdragon 800 too, but on OxygenOS it says indeed 801 and ARM.
OPX stock result is low, but all is good for a normal use. With blu_active governor is another story.
