I had a lot of laugh when one of my friend ignored my advice and bought a windows phone, then found he had far less available apps on the windows market. However, after I had played the games from his phone, I am hooked to the games included originally with the phone.

Come on, angry birds, ninja fruit? I hardly find any good games on the play market. But the "logic games" are so fun on the windows phone! Anyway to get it to android phones??
No way other than ask that game's dev politely if they interested in porting it to android.

Yes, I AM sad. We work in the same office and he's a complete tech noob so he had asked a lot of opinions from me before buying his phone then ignored it completely...But he complains all day long how windows phone is bad...until now he has sth to be proud of...
AW: Windows phone games for android?
They would have to be like BlackBerry somehow in terms app compatibility, I can't think of what you suggest though.

Android has the best games
Google
When I first got my vogue I used google to search around and find programs and games. Search around on xda and maybe ppcgeeks using the search built into the sites. As for installing programs you can usually install .cab files from active sync or you can use active sync to copy over the cab file and install it manually. Eventually you'll most likely want to give android a try and possibly Windows Mobile 6.5. Read and research because there are a lot of forums and a lot of answers already out there.

android is google's operating system for smart phones. some very talented people here have ported it over to work with the htc touch (vogue).

been trying but dont know why it wont open and its mostly down so kinda bad choice i guess...
you can just make a free user on rapidshare?
If you don't want to get banned and get this site into trouble, then don't put links to pirated games - obviously you wouldn't do that.
If they are, then just give a review of the games instead of putting up downlaod links.
A list and a review of the games would be very nice. Thanks.
What games? legal? If there good I could host them.
I wonder which wvga game i still not even play yet

Checked out this link. Seems that all the apps are freeware and so no warez are being posted here but some of the characters in some of those games may be copyrighted. Be careful about posting such games here.
For now I'm going to allow it.

Anyone get Lets Golf to work? I tried a free download and it don't work and also tried to download from Gameloft with no luck.
Thanks

OMG Those are some of the best looking games I've seen for mobile!!
Those games don't look far behind the PSP.
I'll be trying out HAWX tonight
And I'll give Let's Golf a try too, I'll let you know if it works for me.

Game Loft is putting out some great games.. It makes me wish I had a droid just for the keyboard. ( I need to buy one of them external mini keyboards.
**EDIT**
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qnpx51PPoY&feature=channel
This is by far the BEST online multilayer game for the android. (or so it looks)
I'm a FPS guy. And this looks very smooth for a phone. (heck! for a psp too)
OMG...
would love to hear some reviews of these games on the HERO..

Like I said above I'll be trying at least one or two of them tonight but the more I look at their site the more doubt I have these games will run well on the hero, they seem to be pretty... graphically intensive. And they are presented as running on a motodroid
We'll see. I will definitely be reading their refund policy first
I have all the gameloft games on my pre and I can say that they look good, but they are really hard to play on touchscreen controls. I do agree that they are pretty much psp quality. Especially let's golf and asphalt 5.
People have complained that it is choppy on the Nexus One. I wonder how they will be on the Evo.
I don't see these games on the market.. Where can I get them?
Thanks

I know but you don't get updates that way..
There is no way to buy it where you get updates too??
I was curious so I checked their site:
"Gameloft products can be selected as downloadable software from our online store. We accept absolutely no returns on game downloads. Should you be unable to download the game, select a game that is incompatible with your phone, lack sufficient credit to download it, or have a problem with your internet service, you will not be refunded. If you complete payment more than once, you will not be refunded. We reserve the right to replace your purchase with another game in exchange. If for any reason you do not receive the game or find yourself unable to install it because of a technical problem, we will gladly resend it and work with you to resolve the problem. However, once the game is successfully installed, we cannot resend it for any reason, unless you buy it again. One purchase entitles you to one download of the game to one phone number and on one phone model only. If you delete or otherwise remove the game from your phone, you will have to buy it again."
I will keep an eye on this thread to see if we get any confirmations. the games look great!

I have a Sprint Hero with DC 2.08.1
I do see some on the Market Place!!!
do a search on
gameloft
assassin's creed
asphalt
Prince of Persia
also.. i found on there another interesting game:
Crusade of destiny
I am like you guys.. I would prefer to try games in the Market so I can get updates and the 24hr return policy.
I wouldn't buy if I couldn't get a refund if it doesn't work on my phone. 7 bucks is a lot of money to gamble with for a game that I wouldn't use that often.
Anyone buy any of gamelofts games from there site to sere if they work on our heros okay yet?
No

Hmm Well I decided to DL it from a warez site just now to make sure it worked before I bought it and it only shows 1/4 of the screen.
BUT
That could be because I didn't get it from there site idk.
I don't want to be out of 7 bucks so i will just stick to thinking it will only show 1/4 of the screen.
Response from Gameloft
Hi,
We are so sorry for this inconvenience, game “Let's Golf” is not compatible with “HTC Hero”, please choose another game and we will resend it to you soon.
How to know games which is compatible with your phone model, please follow these below steps:
1.Please visit http://www.gameloft.com/mobile/
2.Input name of game you want into Search text box or click on "Games for your phone" section and fill up information.
3.Choose “check availability” list box → choose phone manufacture → seeking your phone model.
Thank you & regards,

Just tried prince of persia and it works really smooth
I nova and hawx and they don't work well hawx said some nonsense about this copy is not an original actual quote from prince of persia " This creature doesn't seem like it wants a cup of sugar" no when they come at you with swords they usually don't
I just saw a peer of mine play this game on his samsung wave at uni called AR DEFENDER.

Still nothing on ARdefender for Android? Would love this game!
So kool.
Sent from my rooted android over9000 x10i using swype on the xda app.
Pretty cool. But even if it did come to Android you could be sure that it would require more then 2.1,,, let alone 1.6!
I read something about a clue style (who done it) game in the works using google maps and/or layers that is multi player.
Take a look at this...

Nice! thanks for posting this
Yhea i saw it to today but if you read the comments below people are not happy with the developer. But the app wasn't free and now it's free so i'm afraid that the developer is angry at google and implement evil code into it.
Can't see that it's in the developers best interest to infect his product. Any Android anti-virus would pick it up anyway.

ZodTTD isn't one to want people to see his software as malware. Anger at Google won't be vented on the users.
Just wondering if FPSe wouldn't be the better choice for the Arc anyway...
hmmm.. i did all the necessary steps till the end and ended up stuck while loading games whith psx4droid.. got the bios, unecm the files to .bin still wont work.. any idea?
got confirmation from zod that arc is still not accessible.. will have to wait for 3.1.0

FPse works well with Destruction Derby 2 (not free)
Never got this to work with my Arc, blank screen when loading any game, tried FPSe and it worked like a charm. Maybe it's a Gingerbread issue?
