Does anyone know if there is a decent mahjong game for windows mobile? When I mean mahjong I mean the traditional game not "match the pairs".
Are there any other decent games worth downloading for th x1? like texas hold'em?

There a bunch of games playable on the X1. Most in full 800x480 resolution. Will be posting info on some that i have on my blog soon... in the meanwhile, check out the screenshots (shows my games folder and programs folder - both containing game icons).

As for Mahjong... i have PDAmill's Gamebox Asia v5.0 that works great on Xperia - though in VGA resolution but in full screen (i.e. part of the screen is black). As far as i tried, that is the only Mahjong game i got working on the device.

I downloaded 'em from Demonoid (torrents). Way too big to send to a person via mail or over the internet like a regular file.

I downloaded Smart Mahjong a few days back but didn't work. Must have been a previous version or something. Am gonna give this a shot again.

WVGA Fix 3 sux. Well... ok. Doesn't suck... but is kinda buggy and problematic. Is good for games that don't run on WVGA and you want 'em to badly...

resco bubbles and marble worlds 2, both wvga compatible. but the first one is similar to teeter, which I prefer..
pocket uno, bejeweled, resco sudoku touch, need for speed undercover, resco brain games 2009, spb arkaball II, virtua pool mobile, resco bubbles, spb bubbles...

If it is designed for PPC (pocket pc) then yes. Others might not work although some do get through. Just look for games/ programs built for ppc and you should be fine.

I have one that I love, called "Real Dice MC Poker" (Texas hold 'em). Microsoft was giving it away free to anyone who signed up for their new "Windows Phone Insider" website (the web compliment to the new Mobile Device Center).
I just checked, and it looks like it's still there. I've tried several poker games on WM, and this one is the one I like the best by far.

Don't know if this is legal way to get it, but you can just google, the top ten TP2 games, and you know how can you get around getting if for free: list of games that you may enjoy playing on your tp2, as much as I do:

call on duty or something, I have them all saved on my sd card, so it doesn't use the phone memory, all of them nice, and smooth graphic.

Games on the Rhodium are pretty scant. It seems that even the older pocket pc titles have issues running properly, and most just can't work due to the lack of face buttons. Xtract is the only decent game I've been able to get working, other than that standard emulators.
Xtract is really cool. Here and there it freezes for a second or two and continues but I think it's just because the phone is mad because TP2 didn't gte the snapdragon processor...comon HTC...phones have feelings too ^_^

I used to love Kevtris on my XDA Orbit - the rotating scroller was perfect for controlling the blocks.
Have tried it on TP2, and just not happy with any controls any more.
Shame.
What I would really like is a good driving game that uses the G-sensor!
it work really well when I had it on the dash. Also the game Xtract, is lovely on the TP2 no delay at all. nice one JH20001

Where did you find Towers of Glennoi and Azgard defence? I don't want to buy them only to have them run buggy on the phone? They work well?

Towers of Glennoi is free you can even check the site for other games but idk if it's games you'll like. you can even click the "skyler17" on my sig he has some other games there also.

I just purchased the Fake Call app on marketplace. I did not give me a chose when to intall it, it automatically installed in my main memory.
True. Marketplace apps install directly to the device, with no option to install on the SD card, unfortunately.

Game Loft is putting out some great games.. It makes me wish I had a droid just for the keyboard. ( I need to buy one of them external mini keyboards.

Like I said above I'll be trying at least one or two of them tonight but the more I look at their site the more doubt I have these games will run well on the hero, they seem to be pretty... graphically intensive. And they are presented as running on a motodroid

I have all the gameloft games on my pre and I can say that they look good, but they are really hard to play on touchscreen controls. I do agree that they are pretty much psp quality. Especially let's golf and asphalt 5.
People have complained that it is choppy on the Nexus One. I wonder how they will be on the Evo.

I am like you guys.. I would prefer to try games in the Market so I can get updates and the 24hr return policy.
I wouldn't buy if I couldn't get a refund if it doesn't work on my phone. 7 bucks is a lot of money to gamble with for a game that I wouldn't use that often.

I tried but it only gives Verizon as a carrier and Hero is not listed under phones so I could not complete the order.

Hmm Well I decided to DL it from a warez site just now to make sure it worked before I bought it and it only shows 1/4 of the screen.
BUT
That could be because I didn't get it from there site idk.
I don't want to be out of 7 bucks so i will just stick to thinking it will only show 1/4 of the screen.
