Not sure about your quality of the stream but mine was terrible, kept going off pausing and freezing, tried my phone and tablet.
Will I get this phone?????
Not sure yet might wait and see what else is around the corner, or get the nexus 5 which was my second choice

Gear 2 will be supported on 20 devices, if GS3 is included on that list of supported devices I wonder whether that means update to 4.4...
It doesn't include Radio FM chip?

hi I have to speak has an employee of sony via the chat and she has me say clearly that sony be going to try to put jelly bean on our xperia play, she has me say that they went to see with the next version of android but envisage nothing for the play before jelly bean.
she must have been puffing too hard on her crack pipe...

Rubbish! I heard from my daughters rat called Riddick that it came to him in a dream after a particularly nasty session on some bad ass cheese that Android codename "Zesty Zoloft " s destined for Zues.

I would say an Xperia Play 2 is more likely than that scenario
I'm pretty sure Sony plans to abandon the platform for the time being.

Xperia play 2 will be around before current gen ones get their next update.
Just hope they fix the flaws.

They won't release the update for Xperia Sola, Go, Tipo and U (devices that more important), so why would Sony release it for Xperia 2011 range ?

they didn't update their post, but they confirmed it like 5 times now.
So what is your point
Do you really believe a device that didn't even get ICS will get Jellybean? Don't get your hopes up.

"is ics". The reason that we (Xperia Play owners) didn't get ICS is that the games won't work properly. I am sure they won't work for Jellybean, if they wouldn't even work in ICS.
But to make you happy, I signed it.
hi guys, i just came across the news about updating Xperia phone 2011 to JB. Unfortunately, Xperia phones batch 2011 wont be having the JB update.

Seriously.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1944996
Why do you want Jelly Bean so much? The best improvement in these updates (ICS and JB) is that the memory for system and user is shared, but in the XPeria Play there's already a division in both partitions, so if the Xplay got updated it wouldnt get this feature. And as this a lot of more things that we wouldn't get even if we get the update. The system has to be made with this new version in mind for enjoying completely ICS or JB, and the XPeria Play isn't.
What The Hell Xperia J
Saying The Xperia 2011 Phones More The Xperia Play Are Not Good Enough To Run JB is so stupid Because The Xperia J Has A slower Proccesser Not As Good As Good As Graphics Not as good as camera The only thing it has better is the internal Memory what the hell is going on with sony
As u can see, SONY is not BOTHERED to make a software for their "old" Xperia PLAY.
And they want to support their "newer" and "sh*ter" devices

Check this video from Samsung:
It's the official announcement of JB and all the new features. They called the enhancements they made to the OG Note "Premium Suite" also. Everything shown is in the German ROM some of us have been using. The fact this was posted to YouTube today means the official roll-out is close.
They've also created a micro-site for it...

What's in that video is new and was posted on YouTube today. This is the first mention of "Premium Suite" and for any detail provided publicly of what's actually in the Note's JB update.
Yes I have already highlighted that in my first post.
The second mention was a reply to your post that they have create a new microsite.
What they are essentially doing is rebranding Note and re launching it in a sorts with the New JB update to push it sales even more. The positive about the same is that is we may get upgraded to 4.2 in future
---------- Post added at 07:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:18 AM ----------
Also if you go on Sammobile you will find there are whole host of tablets which have received new updates so samsung is on a kind of upgrade spree
More details...

I am so desperate for this update now...

The shipping ROM didn't support exFAT so all the original marketing materials said 32GB. Updates changed that and 64GB is now supported. It's supported in the German ROM some of us have been using.
The video is uploaded on an old existing website and hence the confusion on specs but its shamefull how a big company like Samsung does not pay attention to small things like this
I'm starting to think this was a pre - black friday announcement to get the masses hyped. Now, if it pushes out in the next 3 days, I could be wrong'

I think you guys give Samsung far too much credit for premeditation. Between all the different regions and different groups involved in a single product their lucky to get stuff out the door at all. And 2/3 of their revenue is outside the U.S. where Black Friday is meaningless. I do think that the release of JB marketing and support materials means we're getting close though. Keep in mind with all the N8020 ROMs that were just leaked I'd imagine that product is going to be released shortly only on JB and those marketing materials are necessary to support it.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24995544
"Samsung has suspended a software update that upgraded UK-based Galaxy S3 owners to version 4.3 of the Android operating system - also known as Jelly Bean.
The download first became available about a fortnight ago, but subsequently some users began complaining of numerous problems.
These included faster than normal battery drain, some apps refusing to work and alarms failing to trigger.
..."
This will just mean more delays for us. Not sure how they can make the battery drain worse on a Note II though.

Bunglers... I won't update my Note 2 firmware and my next phone will definitely not be a Samsung.
I am checking my new note 2014 edition for software update (kitkat 4.4) but it says there is no new updates available, while it currently runs jelly bean 4.3.
I got the Kitkat update already in my note 3, I live in Egypt
Any advice please?
Just make like me! Update manually for yourself.
Go there for example: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Download your firmware and follow the instructions to flash it.
I have my Note 10.1 2014 with official 4.4.2 with this method.
Cheers
Since they are releasing it to 2-3 countries per month, possibly you have to wait another 6 to 300 months. Patience my friend. Samsung is working hard for us!!!

Not really, my stock p605 4.4.2's battery life is running the same or even better than stock 4.3. Also my Note2 LTE running OmniROM 4.4.4 also has excellent battery life, so your statement about kitkat will kill battery life is not true.

Damn you Samsung - been waiting to get update on my UK P600 long enough! Despite all its nice features its going on Ebay as soon as the next larger screened Nexus tablet is out. I thought the slow updates wouldn't bother me when I ponied-up for the premium price and that the multi window and digitizer would compensate for it but instead I prefer to get shiny new os updates (official ones) more ?

I agree with cmit37 - what is Samsung up to? Been seeing messages that it is coming any day since begin of the year - now late July and still no KitKat
Considering 4.3 works fine with same performance and sd card writes work, seems no KitKat update is a good thing. I'm staying on 4.3
Me too, my first & last Samsung tablet.
Their update policy is 5Hi7 and I am now looking very carefully at ditching both Samsung Tablet & Phone for an Ipad & Iphone, because of this. It's fecking naff.

You are completely deluded if you think that. If they were they would have had the updates for this tablet done & dusted by now, they haven't!
They're too busy looking at 2015-2016's tablets & once they've got your money they don't give a feck!

Yeah, I'm finding myself thinking about the rumours of a large iphone. A big screened iphone and an iPad would be a nice combo especially if you find slow or non existent updates annoying. If I'm thinking it others will be doing it.
