I found some info about exchanging external and internal sd settings on lg phones, but the link was dead. I can't find the info at all.
now for some background...
I have an LG Optimus Dynamic L38C that I got from wal mart on straight talk, I love it so far other than the fact that even after root I can't seem to move anything to the external sd card which has way more space than internal memory and system memory. i found a post that referenced a method to switch the external sd and internal memory, but the link took me to a screen saying it was deleted or moved. I can't find anything else relating to this, can anybody tell me where the following thread has gone?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Ive searched already here.
I got a Rogers HTC Magic, rooted and running MyHero ROM.
My phone keeps telling me "Phone Storage space is getting low"
Ive cleared every text message, email, from the phone, and my SD card has over 1.5GIG of free space...
Anyone knows whats going on? and what could I do?.. I really dont see wha tcould be wrong hehehheheh
Thanks.
Oh yeah i got like 30MB in the phone.
Did you partition your memory card? What do you have them set at?
Does it support a2sd? Are there any specific instructions to set it up that you have to go through?
A little more info would be helpful.
I did partition my memory card...
Was a while ago tho.. hpow do i see what do i have it set as?
do it in parted.
I looked in his thread. Near the bottom of the post it gives special directions for apps to sd.
Apparently it does it on the fat partition, so you don't need an ext(?)
Read through it and do what it says.
Thanks a lot...
Hi guys,
What would be the best way to conserve the free space on my Razr M (XT907, 4gb ) while using your Safestrap software? Without having to restore over the Stock rom slot?
I currently have a 32gb external SD card installed in my phone that I am hardly making use of, which is silly. I seemed to have quickly maxed out my phone’s internal SD card 0 shortly after installing a Eclipse mod and snapping a few pictures/videos and installing GTA3 (large game). As simple as this task sounds, I have been unable to find clear instructions online on how to free up my space.
Maybe would there be any way to symlink the entire /safestrap directory to my external SD card? How about changing the default location that my apps are saved or installed to? I am comfortable connecting via ADB and making changes in Linux if necessary.
Thank you!
jskup
EDIT - ok, Eclipse Mod 1.1 doesn't have the best camera app, no configuration to save pictures to external SD

I use a free app that you can find in the Google Play Store called Link2SD. But first you will need to create a partition on your SD card. d33ps1x one of XDA's Senior Members was awsome enough to place a tutorial on the forum already. Here is the the link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432459
The title is
[TUTORIAL][Link2SD][ROOT]Updated! How to prep your SD card for it...Windoze Style
To do the actual partition on my PC I used a program called Mini Tool Partition Wizard v7.8. You can find it on line and get a free download. Just follow d33ps1x's instructions and u should be fine.
I was able to make a 4.5gb partition on my 64gb SD card that Link2SD automatically "links" downloaded apps to the partition and frees up the space on the internal memory.
Good luck. Hope this helps.
PS: Again all credit to d33ps1x

Did your format ext2?
Have you had any instability? At all? Have you tried this with Safestrap?
Thank you,

There's an xposed module called handle external storage, sounds like that's what you need

I have been using this module but it seems, Move to SD is still not yet in the App Info.
I misunderstood, there is no apps2sd functionality yet, folder mount will allow you to move app data though
when it comes to downloading applications, games it saves on phone memory and wants to though applications were stored on sd card or also needs a tutorial for turning internal memory to external memory, I tried already a few tutorials but unfortunately does not help and I have android 4.4
Edit
I tried to do the program Link2SD but unfortunately when creating ext2 partition that is not loaded even in windows, the size of her doing 993 mb while on fat32 gives 59 gb. Adata 64gb card
So I followed the availble tutorial, which is written by an S7 owner called "MoDaCo".
https://bgr.com/2016/03/11/galaxy-s7-edge-tips-microsd-adoptable-storage/
- I had a normal "179:32" or something like that IDs.
- The command in the tutorial:
Code:
sm partition disk:179:160 private
did not work.
- I had to use:
Code:
sm partition disk:179,160 private
After this I had a unified storage, but I had "128gb" of storage.
I did not try to fill up my phone then, but I tried to use Spotify and it said "cannot find storage device".
So my question is: Is it possible to fix this somehow?
I have a Class 10/UHS-1 card, Kingston, 32gb.
It should be fast enough.

This trick is known to not to work with several apps like spotify, but other than that it works fine.
ps i the haven't tasted marshmallow yet.
Oh wow. Spotify would have been like the most important app, because it always places the data folder to the wrong location.
Anyhow, if apps need to be updated to use this new merged storage, then people will have to wait like two more years until every app gets fixed.
I watched the video with s7, the procedure did not yet, although it seems simple. But I do not understand why you include storage 128g if you have an SD of 32 g. Any number should be changed?
Your note 4 is 32 g storage? or you have more space?

It shows 128gb storage on top as overall.
First the new setup was all messed up.
Tapped SD, pressed "Move Data".
Then - the top was still showing 128gb, but tapping the SD showed me the correct numbers.

maybe you should give a tour of the thread of Sprint note, I read there that someone had no problems, but can not remember that forum. I appreciate your initiative.

Tried to find the said Sprint thread, but no luck.
Could you link it to me?
I am willing to test any tutorials, since I already formatted my SD card, and I have a second device that I can use while I fix up my Note.

Hello,
I bought a 64go sd card (samsung evo plus U3) for my G6 because 32go is not enough for me (especially with the place already taken base by the system)
I managed to set the camera to save the photos on it, but I can not find anything in the settings to use the micro sd in main memory .. my wish would be that downloads, screenshots and compatible applications go directly on the sd without having to move them manually ..
Is it possible ?
Thank you all :fingers-crossed:

As far as I know not without hacking the phone
I think I read about it that it's possible with some ADB commands or also with root access,
but I don't know how exactly.
Google should be your friend in this case
You can do that by switching partitions but keep in mind that removing the memory card in this case may break your phone so I won't recommend it to anyone.
