The kindle fire 2 is not the same as the kfhd. So you tried to install a ROM on the HD that is not meant for it. Visit this link to get the help you need.

Hello there,
I just got the Kindle Fire and although I do really like it, I have some problems with it. I got it for my dad as a tablet to surf the web with and read books from Amazon and purchase these books on the official Amazon store too but I have some problems with that.
Firstly, I live in Austria and there is no Amazon App-Market support here nor is there a Kindle Store App. There might be one in the Android Market, which I have not tried , but this is would be crucial, so that he can easily purchase books from the device itself without having to use a computer.
Another thing that's bothered me is that it seems there is no way to bypass the Amazon Appstore restrictions and get GApps while maintaining the original ROM or Interface. Personally, I think that the Carousel Interface is very intuitive and nice , however I hate that you cannot change the language to German, because my dad does not speak English and that if you decide to get another ROM, there is no way to get this Kindle Carousel Interface (that I know of atleast).
So I'm asking you: is there a modified version of the ROM that is currently on the Kindle Fire, maybe with multilanguage support and support for Android Market and if there is not, which custom ROM would you recommend and is there a Kindle App for Android that allows you to access the Store?
I don't care about the video service, I don't really need it nor does my dad but I would really need to have the Kindle book-store support.
If you guys could help me out, I'd be very grateful.

I have a stock Rom that is rooted with multi-language keyboards. I use otaroot keeper to unroot and have full access to the amazon video. I also have all gapps installed since it is rooted. You have install each ime keyboard seperately. I have posted in a thread how I got it to work. All rooting info is available on the forums.

you don't need an other rom - read this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382360
mine is nearly complete in german with the stock rom and have the german book & mp3 store ...
Thanks for the help guys, I was just wondering whether some of you knew if the Kindle Store that is available in the Android Market works with the Fire. Also, if I root the Fire , can I just install the regular Market and then get the Apps?
you can install android market and use this one for apps
little hint: never update the kindle app - your original app on the kf will not work anymore ...
if you change the region as described in the link you get redirected to the german kindle book store
just read it and do exactly as described

I need help knowing if my KF is worth selling. I plan to sale this KF for $120 to buy a SONY™ Ericcson XPERIA Play™. Do you guys think this good enough to sell for? I am not sure if theres a better phone that I can buy with that money. Really like that phone and want to know XDA opinions. A person offered me a deal for the Play in $100. If I sell it then I get the Play, do you guys think its worth the money and the KF?

Non related.
I've been trying out xposed framework http://goo.gl/NNwZ9 and I love it. But lately it kills my system. I install it and activate and reboot, but it stays at boot animation and never boots into the os. I have to reinstall... Any idea what to do? I'm running TWA's cm10.1 4.2.2 ROM and cm9 as alt boot. Twrp 4.2.3 & fff 1.4.1.

Sorry. Didn't mean to get you mad. I believe it might be the framework as it might not be updated or the fact of you dual booting. I can't be sure, though.

I always thought there were issues with ICS or higher dualboot ROMs for the fire?
Would love xposed to work, but I love dual boot even more...
Can someone send me a link to the xposed framework.

Not long ago, I guess. I got to know this through the i9003 community. Download links for his ROMs within XDA are all removed too.
How do I get Nova launcher back on? I did a wipe to set it up for a new user and I forgot that I lost all the apps I had. It is rooted already and I still see kingroot but no launcher exist.

Download the Amazon Fire Toolkit. It should do everything for you.
