That link is only valid if you're on a corporate liable account, meaning the bill is in a company name and it's paid by the company. But then again, if that was the case, you get that pricing in the store too.
Used a different corporate store/link. It's worth noting that the SAVE50 code is only for new lines of service, not for upgrades. I left SERO to get it (on a 5-line plan, all Epics). Ultimately, I would have been better off going with EPRP and buying the phones on newegg/wirefly/amazon for $199 (assuming they support EPRP, which I was never 100% able to confirm). EPRP plan rate is virtually identical to corp discount now that Sprint removed the discount for lines 3-5.
Can you purchase the DVP 8GB for 100 bucks then CANCEL your brand new tmobile service?
Whats the worse? they'll only charge you 200 bucks for a contract termination right? then you've bought the phone for 300 bucks.=)
nope wont work. cause when you get approved dell emails you and lets you know you recieved a $350 dollar discount so you will be charged 200 from tmobile and 350 from dell for the credit you recieved. they will charge the credit card you used over and over. loop hole is to get a prepaid credit card for one time use

Do you have a link with this information? I looked all over their agreements and conditions of sale, and I see nothing about having to pay back the discount.
Also, how is using a prepaid credit card a loop hole? Wouldn't they call you to get a valid credit card if the one on file doesn't work? Or can't they just send you a paper bill?
It would probably work fine with the exception that there is also a 35 dollar activation fee for new service and you are required to pay a minimum of the first months service. Also just a word of caution that there may be hidden cancellation fees much like with Amazon. Where both the carrier and the company you purchased from charge you for cancellation prior to a specified amount of time. It really doesn't save you as much as you would think. The best option would be to sign up for Borders Rewards and receive the 10% off for purchasing through the Dell Employee Purchase Program which Borders Rewards members have access to.

The Amazon cancellation fee isn't hidden. It's clearly part of their "Instant Discount Policy".
If you intend to use T-Mobile service anyway, paying the first month's service fee is no big deal. You're paying only $20 more than the no-contract price that you would have paid had you purchased the phone outright. However, over the course of 2 years, that $20 adds up even if you pay the ETF, so it's always beneficial to get off contract as soon as you can.
I thought the activation fee was waived, but even if you did have to pay it, you're still saving $95:
Code:
Discount: ($350)
ETF: $200
Service Fee Diff: $20
Activation Fee: $35
___
Savings: $95
I took it to mean that he would be signing up for a new contract and already has one. If this is actually what he was doing then he would also be paying for his existing monthly plan if he wants to keep his existing phone number. Say $50for this example.
$100 phone
$200 cancellation
$35 activation
$50 data only plan (new contract)
or
$60 500 minutes (new contract)
$50 existing plan
total is $435 or $445
total after the discount on the 8gig model with 10% epp is $404.

Incredible - especially considering the standard ECF in Canada is $400!
for tmobile, i believe you cannot modify your account within the first 3 months if you want to buy a phone because the retailer won't get commission if the line is cancelled so they might charge you extra.

So you only need to increase plan for 6 months and NO tethering required.
I think I am sold. At minimum I could sell the lapdock for $200 if not more.

If you bought it on preorder it was 200... 499 -100mir for phone and dock. that's 399 - 199 = 200.
I don't get why everyone was freaking out at how much they cost...
For new customers only, rats!

Rats, only good for new activations, not for renewals - the renewal price is $449.99.
I would have totally jumped on it for $249.99!

Not really sure what numbers you are talking about there, this is for the phone and the lapdock. I have seen deals for $130 for the phone by itself, but never anything in this range for the phone and lapdock together. Plus no requirement to purchase tethering.

lol wut?
it was never $200 for the phone and dock together...
It was 599 - 100 mail in rebate in the at&t stores...
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
To be accurate, what the said was 499 AFTER the 100 rebate.
They never said 599 and a 100 rebate. Anyway, that makes Nonov's math look like:
"If you bought it on preorder it was 300... 599 -100mir for phone and dock. that's 499 - 199 = 300."
Which is what people have been saying for months.
From the OP, the letstalk bundle is 450, 50 off ATT. With an additional 200 off, thats 250. If you put the worth of the phone at 200, as Nonov did, this makes the laptop 50.
Ah, remember when everyone was throwing rumors of 150/150 for phone/laptop dock? But eh, it's the last push for new customers for ATT.
And it was just removed. Interesting though, it made me check my account and apparently my account IS available for upgrade +$50 off. I could get an Atrix for $150 right now. Weird since I got my Captivate last summer, but I'm not complaining! Don't think I'm gonna go with the Atrix though.

Yup, got my order in just in time. I agree I am seeing "Sorry, this product is no longer available." Listing on the page.
Ugh, now LetsTalk is claiming the pricing was a mistake, according to AndroidPolice they may attempt to cancel the orders:
Update: LetsTalk/Walmart Wireless now says "this product is no longer available." When we called them, we were told the sale was a mistake. We aren’t yet sure whether the $250 price will be honored for customers who already bought the bundle.

They are only selling AT&T for another week so I'm sure it'll be discounted. You also sign additional contracts and Let's Talk is known to be a pretty iffy place to buy phones.

Agree, it seems that the current deal would give me an ETF fee of over $600 if I canceled in the first 6 months. But I can live with that.
** Update 2-28-11 **
I think I will just update this post, since I don't want upset people by gloating about this great deal.
Walmart issued me a delivery date, so I called to confirm that it was accurate. The Wal-mart rep told me that they would be honoring the deal. I thought that was pretty cool of them.
Living Social (a Groupon clone) is offering $50.00 Verizon Wireless certificates for $25.00

As an added bonus, if you buy one and refer three people, you get yours for free.
These folks are 100% legit, I have purchase a number of dining coupons from them.
They'll price match Amazon too. Delta's hard to redeem on but if you're flexible it could save you the price of the Tab in airfare. It starts at Midnight PST tonight.
