Ever since this last update my wallpaper keeps disappearing and my background turns all black, I try changing it back or setting a live wallpaper but it freezes and goes back to either the stock wallpaper or all black background, any one experiencing this?

Its redrawing due to lack of free ram. Next time it happens go to apps then running apps (in settings) and look to see if you have over 350 mb ram open other wise look for the app using all of it. Happened to me but it was my live screen saver sucking up ram.

I'm using a rooted stock rom, every time I try to use a live wallpaper, especially if it's a 3rd party selection, the phone slows to a crawl & eventually locks up & has even switched me back to a regular wallpaper on its own.
Anyone else have any problems with the live wallpaper feature that are still using the stock rom?

I have not had that problem, but find I tend to stay away from the live wallpapers because they seem to eat battery like candy. I'm using SRF 1.2 though.
Same config as yours, live wallpaper for months, no such problems.
Hey guys
I have this problem with my x10 whenever I open an app or a game and close it it goes back to main screen and the apps icons and Widgets disappear for a second and comes back slowly
Anyone has a soulution or ideas

The x10's problem is the RAM. If you use a lot of apps and widgets at the same time it will run out of memory and close the homescreen to free ram. When you go back from an app to the homescreen, android has to reload it, that's what you see, when the applications redraw. If you want to solve this problem, rooting your device would be my advice for you, cause this gives you many possibilities to solve such issues

Its a redraw of the screen you can easily fix that by tweaking the build.prop

Therefore root access would be a good choice it's one line he has to add, for stopping the redraws

What is it with all these notifications in the status bar? Its like if any launcher i download, or weather app i install...and i don't want to disable them from the settings, cuz sometimes the app's notification are useful..
Any other way to avoid this..?

Could you be more specific? Are we talking launchers?

Certain apps do put a persistent notification in the shade that doesn't do anything. For me it was TuneIn Radio Pro doing it. Would pop up upon boot and clicking on it just took me to app info where I can force close to uninstall.

I disable them in Apps info and it doesn't stick with reboot. After reboot, I have to go back into Apps info, tick, and then untick again for them to go away. I'm really hating this bug.

I love this feature. It told me tunein radio pro - which I haven't run for months - was starting up in the background and eating battery.
With 4.3 I know there's no rogue apps hanging around. This should have been added years ago.

The problem is it gives you notifications of running apps even though they are not behaving rogue. Nothing wrong with wanting the feature if one wants it, but when one shuts it off it should stick. I already have an app that warns me of misbehaving apps called Watchdog.

It is helpful feature, but it is buggy as milk is white and 2+2=4.

Yeah I noticed mine have it too, seems like a bug that Google need to fix.
I am having issues with multiple picture frame widgets on my homescreens with the stock 4.3 or 4.4 launcher. This problem started when I was on 4.3 and carried over to 4.4. I put picture frames with different pics of my family on my homescreens. Recently I had to set my homescreens up again and when I go to place the widget on my homescreen it disappears. The picture frame is there with no picture. I've tried multiple picture frames from the play store and nothing is working. The stock picture frame does not work either. If I use apex or nova as a launcher the picture frames will work. It is only happening with the stock launcher and it's getting to be annoying. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have ideas or suggestions?

Bump. At this point im going to change my question since I haven't had any body reply. Has anyone had trouble with widgets in general disappearing from homescreems when trying to place them there? That could at least point in the right direction on trying to fix my problem.

Using the widget for picture album on my home screen without any issue. This is the stock launcher from android 4.4
build, KRT16S. The widget remained on the home screen after multiple reboots and shutdowns.
