Htc Magic Vodafone - How to Root ???

i buy a Htc Magic Vodafone phone and i want to root it, and i don't now how
my phone have this details - saphire pvt 32b , radio 2.22.19.26l, firmware 1.6
second problem is i have CyanogenMod 4.1 and i find a new update 4.2.1 and is not working to update it, maybe because my phone is not rooted?

i can't download files i need (i need another mirror for files) and i want to use Method 2 but i have some question: how i boot the device in fastboot mode and where i Type the following command on my desktop?

i need a answer for this question pls: if possible to root my htc magic vodafone 32b if i have version 1.6 ? (pls help because i don't now how to root my phone)

i hva the same problem. But i have installed a lot of ROMs and nothing works for me. i have now hero rom and all is soo laggy . I really messed up my phone.
Is there any way so bring my phone to htc magic 1.6 OFFICIAL ? factory reset doesnt work .
Im really "noob" here.

Its for 32A only ofc cause HTC provides Updates for HTC branded devices only ..

i need a solution for my question from top of threat : how i make to install Cyanogen 4.2.1 on my htc magic vodafone 32b 1.6 version ? (now i have cyanogen 4.1 version installed) and second i need a step by step solution to root my phone pls

Btw.. i downloaded now this rom: RA-IONv1.6.2G and i will try it tommorow.

You will have to read the wiki and then go to General or Q and A sections when you get stuck.
There is no simple or short answer.

It's my understanding that you must first downgrade to firmware 1.5 to root. Maybe that's just for the so called "one click" root process??...

root via my software its straight forward my friend even idiots can do it

problem with htc touch

hi guys,i've a problem with my htc touch. i tried to install a cooked rom,but now the phone doesn't work,when a try to switch on it,the words "smart mobility",but after few seconds the phone shut down,i've tried to send it on bootloader mode but without success,what should can i do =( ?

yes,in a first time the phone seemed to work,but on the windows rom screen it crashed,now,it doesn't go further the smar mobility screen =(

Try a hard reset, if not read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406721 , I know it's a lot, but if your device is bricked you might find a solution.
By the way I'm near Verona on a vacation

i've tried hard reset too but nothing =( thanks for the link =) really? very beautiful city verona,i'm from como,in the north of italy,near switzerland =D

ok i followed CyZeeK's guide (i can't post the link)
i found that my device id it's ELF010050 and the CID ID it's HTC__405 but i have 2 problems:
first,che only rom compatible with these ids it's for an elfin,when my phone it's an elf;
second,ruupdate sad that this elfin's rom it's corrupted (and it doesn't say that it isn't compatible =/ ),and now according to ruupdate all the rom's i downloaded are corrupted =/
what can i do??? thanks to all =)

HTC HD2 stock rom?

Hello, I've recently had problems with my HD2 touch screen..It is not responsive at all. I am planning to send it back to HTC for RMA + repair, however I'm pretty sure I need the stock radio + rom for it.
I have the HTC HD2 T8585 and I don't remember what the stock rom + radio are...I remember one of them being 1.66 or something..however I can't find any download links.. could somebody help me? Thanks
edit: I just got off the phone with HTC, they said I can't send it in for repair because I'm in Canada and I bought this phone from China.... -_-
does anyone know how to repair this problem? I cannot slide my unlock tab because the touchscreen doesn't work..i've tried reflashing and hard resets and pulling out the batteries..it sometimes work for a few seconds and it stops after that or as soon as i put the phone to sleep...

happened to me (and many others...i too had a thread...) tis hardware (which makes sense as you have flashed roms and still it persists.)

This serial belongs to a different device, not HD2. Sorry.

mt htc p3452 is not starting properly.i have upgraded its rom after flashing its cid.first tym it is working properly but after one restart it is showing only smart mobility and then it shuts down.....what to do now????????? big prblm..plss help....

How can you get help if you don't state all the info available like:
what did you do step by step until you got bricked?
what kind of cid unlock you used?
what rom you flashed?

sir i have htc touch p3450 (elf0100)....i had flashed itz original rom (wm6.1) using flashing tool(ELF_USPL-v1) and upgraded its rom to wm6.5 (onyx_6_release13).i just flashed it nd started upgrading tool nd it is successfully upgraded and i m enjoying my wm6.5 but when i switched it off to insert my sim card it does not start..it just displays "smart mobility" and then it gets off..now what to do?????

If I understand well he means to flash a shipped rom, then cid unlock, then a cooked rom.

I can't find an RUU that matches your CustomerID which means your only option is to make a goldcard (unless someone see's something I'm missing). Do you not have a friend with a phone running Android that you could borrow?

Did you try to flash it again?
Did you try to change into RUU mode?

yes i tried but my phone is freezing on ruu because no ruu has my customer id

1- i made update with rom update by rogers htc magic ruu and i am vodafone
2- it update the radio and spl and when it update signature the result is
update fail!!
3- the only screen i can access now is ruu fastboot screen
and if you have help for me please dont hesitate

The problem is that you cannot update using Rogers RUU without the use of a goldcard... so how did that happened?

i dont need to update with rogers it just a mistake i am vodafone htc magic not rogers so the update failed and i bricked my phone
now i need to just fix my phone with any method
i cant make gold card because i have not another android device
can i make gold card without device?
or is there another method to fix?
