Hello - Anyone know where the 4.2.2 OTA update is saved on the device by default? Thanks
UPDATE: Nevermind - found it in /cache/

Hi, if anyone has recently installed the Japanese OTA 3.1 update, could you please do a system and boot partition dump?
Thanks
Infact, if you could also upload the update file from /cache that would be great as well.
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there's a way to extract the stock Swype.apk and libSwypecore.so from the 4.1.83 ATT ROM img? Or, can someone please provide it for me? I removed the apk and the so file in order to be able to install updated swype beta and now cannot OTA update to 2.3.4. I figure if I restore those files, I'll be able to update OTA and then run preinstall.img for root.
Anyone?
Thanks!!

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have a stored copy somewhere of the GRK39C/2.3.6 OTA update files? These were the ones pushed to the Canadian Rogers I9020A that was subsequently pulled from Google servers because they broke tethering.
The files I need are as follows:
bdfac2d92004.signed-sojua-GRK39C-from-GRJ22.bdfac2d9.zip
5282b5b3eb74.signed-sojua-ota-178324.5282b5b3.zip (this was the full ROM used for updating 2.3.3/GRI54)
If anyone has these files and could upload them somewhere for me, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
Hi,
would it be possible for someone to upload the OTA update (0.266 -> 1.201) and make it a recovery flashable zip? Or maybe tell how can I do it myself?
Because why download the whole firmware if you could just download that 10MB update.
I dont think OTA update can be modified to flashablde zip.
Correct me if wrong

Apparently, the update file is located in /cache . It's an encrypted .pkg file, so it may require more advanced skills to extract it.
But I think it's deleted after you apply an update.
If you wanna catch OTA files you need to find someone who's downloaded OTA update but not applied it yet

I have the .pak file, but as I said before, it's probably encrypted or in an unknown format, since programs like 7-zip can't open it.

Just download it and put it in internal storage not in any folder just place the zip file no need extract ( as far as i remember)
reboot
You'll get a notification about software update
Personally I'll suggest to unlock camera2api before upgrading as some people are saying it can't be done in pie

Thanks Abir, but this isn't something I'm looking for.
I get proper notifications for updates .
Need the path where official fota zip gets download by default.
Do let me know if there's any path you're aware of.

If you're manually updating then it should be in download folder in your phone if not then
UL-ASUS_X00T-WW-16.2017.1903.050-user.zip
Copy this file name and search in es file explorer
If you got the update automatically then it'll be in system storage and can't be access without root
