I9020A Owners: Need the pulled GRK39C OTA files. - Nexus S General

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have a stored copy somewhere of the GRK39C/2.3.6 OTA update files? These were the ones pushed to the Canadian Rogers I9020A that was subsequently pulled from Google servers because they broke tethering.
The files I need are as follows:
bdfac2d92004.signed-sojua-GRK39C-from-GRJ22.bdfac2d9.zip
5282b5b3eb74.signed-sojua-ota-178324.5282b5b3.zip (this was the full ROM used for updating 2.3.3/GRI54)
If anyone has these files and could upload them somewhere for me, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

[q] .sin_file_set

Does anyone know how to use these files to flash an R800a? Or is there some kind of tool to convert them to an ftf? I recently used an online service (DivinciTeam) to flash my phone back to a Rogers 2.3.2 firmware, these are the files that were used. I'd like to do a bit more experimenting with my phone but would like a way to go back to the Rogers 2.3.2 firmware (to keep root) without having to pay for the service every time. I know there is a generic UK 2.3.2 firmware, but that didn't seem to work for me (phone was constantly roaming when used that firmware). If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.
Use flashtool and do a bundle creation and it should make the ftf out of those files but I'm not 100% I've only ever done it a couple times with my x10
* if that is gonna be the Rogers 2.3.2 upload it to the dev section please and thank you!*
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
sin_file_set can be unzipped with 7-Zip. Inside you'll find standard .sin files.
I've tried using flashtool to package it into an ftf, it goes through the decrypting but I end up with no files.
I will give 7-zip a go to see if I can get the .sin files out of it.
Yes, it is the Rogers 2.3.2. I will upload it if I get it working (don't have enough posts to post in the dev section).
UPDATE: Tried 7-zip, didn't work. Gave an error about it not being an archive.

Strange. You should be able to open sin_file_set with 7-Zip, unless Davinc Team uses special encryption on sin_file_set - I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
I guess thats always a possibility.
Anyway to get it directly off the phone? It still on 2.3.2.
Ok, I've uploaded the .SIN_FILE_SET if anyone wants to see if they can create an ftf out of them.

[REQ] Stock Atrix 4.1.83 Swype.apk and libSwypecore.so

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there's a way to extract the stock Swype.apk and libSwypecore.so from the 4.1.83 ATT ROM img? Or, can someone please provide it for me? I removed the apk and the so file in order to be able to install updated swype beta and now cannot OTA update to 2.3.4. I figure if I restore those files, I'll be able to update OTA and then run preinstall.img for root.
Anyone?
Thanks!!

"OTA" Update for those who have BLG6 fw

it's an update.zip and it's just 5.40mb
i guess this is the localized search they're going to put back.
edit:
i looked into the file and it indeed has the search apk and more like patches and framework
I just updated and local search is back.
here's the official ota update.zip. that's from LG6 to LG8.
copied from cache/fota folder.
hope this could help the devs see what other changes/updates were made since it consists of more apk's than just the well known localized search.
aside from other apk's, there is also a patch folder.
:good:

4.2.2 OTA update file location

Hello - Anyone know where the 4.2.2 OTA update is saved on the device by default? Thanks
UPDATE: Nevermind - found it in /cache/

Is that a ROM?

Hi all. I recieved what I suppose is a ROM for an Android Head unit from a chinese manufacturer. He send me a .rar file with couple of files in it. I expected an .img file, but I got files .0 .1 .2 .3. Also a quite funny txt file came along with it telling the developers what to fix.
I´m not a programmer, so my dumb question is: is it a ROM? how can I convert those four files into something readable? Any hints greatly appreciated. Tried google, but nothing came up.
