Is there a way to unjailbreak my phone? And if so, how?
I have tried doing a reset from the settings, but it reset to a default jailbreak

Hello everyone..
I got just get prob on my fone.My last row of touch screen (home/menu/back/search) is not working.
I hadn't dropped the phone or gotten it a wet or anything, they just stopped. Nver rooted my fone also.
Anyone know how to fix it?
i really didn't think of any other solution, but here it is:
becasue you are not rooted, you can only wipe all the phone's data, and restore it to factory settings... that means all apps, contacts, messages, everything will be gone and restored back to the "out-of-the-box" shape..... good luck

i meant factory reset yes...
rooting the phone will have you better control over it.... so you could flash another kernel and it may work... however, you could try factory reset, because rooting it will result in the same thing...

the prob is,i still have to use back button when want to rooting.
So,i cant continue the step to rooting
I'd not take the chances of rooting if you are not sure it will fix it.
Do you still have warranty? I'd just take it back...
Have you tried simply turning your phone off, and then back on?

Seriously, that has fixed a ton of my phone's hiccups. Don't underestimate the usefulness of a power cycle

i think the best way is change the touch pad with new one
I am getting this message repeatedly. Problem is my charging port is not currently working. any fixes for this without accessing features using the charging port? Thanks, ARB

Thanks! I ended up doing a hard reset. Didn't work using the settings version of a hard reset but did work when holding down the off button.

Agree because a hard reset will reset everything what you changed in the settings etc bring it back to the settings from the factory or rom maker, Also it will delete everything.
Hi all, I have an N4 running Paranoid, may I ask how to delete all my user apps, pics, music etc while retaining the custom rom? Thanks

Do a factory reset in your recovery of choice.

Just do a factory reset in Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset. This will just get rid of your personal data and go back to how the rom is in a clean install with no user customizations etc. Doesn't affect the rom itself.

See attached screenshot. It quite clearly tells you when you press factory reset it will remove everything from your internal storage.. it's not a 'soft brick'.
Hmm, and if i want to wipe everything and go stock (soon leaked 4.4 image) from custom rom - get clean device/ "fresh start" with 4.4?

For that use one of the toolkit and flash stock image. It will wipe everything and restore back to factory stock.

Did you factory reset?
Also it would be in your interest to post what the actual issue is.

Yes, I also tried by factory reset. I cant explain exact issue, some virus/malware exist on my phone which makes my phone slow.
I tried many antiviruses but no luck so far.
So I want to format/repair/restructure folder/system files of phone so that infected files gets deleted from phone.
Factory reset and installing stock firmware is not replacing/deleting all folders/files of my phone.
Best Regards...

How do you know your phone is infected though? Factory reset + flashing already overwrites all your system files.....

okay, but your phone being slow does not mean it is infected. the prob might be with something else. maybe hardware?
I have bought a second hand OnePlus 8 Pro.
What should I do to reset it and avoid any risk of spy programs?
A common "Factory Reset" would be enough?
As long as it's a stock rom and Android 9 or higher a factory reset should be all that's needed.

Thanks. Not sure if it could be a modified Rom. If I were a malicious seller I would use something not affected by factory reset, but I don't know if that is possible
