Yeah played a cracked version on my jail broken iPhone last year but found it quite difficult Lol
Will be interesting how well the ouya does, price point is ok but consoles live and die by their software

I assume that the Oyua can play any android games ,like any android smartphones + games that are design for Ouya?
iPhone user?

Lol jk
And it will definitely be interesting but I don't think it's hardware is up to par there using tegra 3 well planning to use, with tegra 4 on the horizon not to mention try to compare mobile chips with PC chips like what regular consoles use and really there no is comparison so the OUYA should be aiming as high as possible though I think this is mostly a testing of a new concept and will most likely serve as learning project so they can improve in other versions (Rome wasn't built in a day) I mean look at Android it took 4 years (in my eyes) b4 they finally developed its full potential

One big problem of the ouya is the "missing" touchscreen.
Because you just have the touchscreen on the controller will make it different to navigate through normal apps.
And most normal apps wont have a controller support.
Maybe a mouse will fix the problem.
They will have their own ouya store where you can find games. This store has just one set of authorizations(i.e. read and write rights, internet connection, etc.) for all games.
If they will implement the normal store is not clear. I guess they will not. But you can upload any apk manually and you probably can install the play store by your self.
CoD & Temple Run
Hi i would extremely happy to play Call of Duty series in Ouya console & dont forget the viral temple run also. And anybody has any idea when it will be launching on India, Thanks.

Apps won't need controller (games do) support is already built in natively to Android os as long as it doesn't use confusing gestures but even then it has a touchscreen for when needed

Hello Aaron,
Games will be available for your Evo shortly through and Gameloft.com, the Sprint Zone icon that appears on the home screen of your device.
We hope to have them live in the next two weeks.

Subject: Android Games
Hello,
I recently bought a Sprint HTC Evo and I want to buy some gameloft games for it because I LOVE gameloft games I have a bunch on my Palm Pre. Anyways, when I go to the website the only option is for Verizon droid, Do I just select that even though Im on Sprint? If not how do I buy and download some gameloft games?
Sounds pretty good

just a random q... How good is the gpu on the evo? Will we just get the standard gameloft ports or actual games made specifically for it like the iphone?

the iPhone is a different beast...limited hardware specs to design for allows games to be designed for just it. Android is such a diverse market, I would doubt games would be designed "just for the evo". The Evo's market share isn't THAT big.
However, a number of newer android devices *are* getting good graphics chips in them (including the evo) and there are already games out there that have stated they will not work well on older hardware (Pre-N1 basically).
Thanks for the info...;
Just wondering since I had not heard to much discussion about it.. Personally I think those gameloft games are usually junk.. lets see though

Some of them are really good, Westside (It's like Grand Theft Auto) And Hero of Sparta are pretty awesome, Gameloft actually has some of the best games out there for phones. I just don't understand why they wont put them on the marketplace instead of only selling them through thier website they would sell tons more if more people knew about them and they could easily get them from the marketplace.
I've been playing dungeon hunter all day... Works great.

gameloft games r not gonna b as good as the iphone's gameloft games for the evo.iphone has its own seperate GPU for 3d games thats y gameloft games on iphone r pretty heavy IPA files from 50mb to 200 mega bytes and very quality 3d graphics, i just WISH that HTC one day puts its own GPU as well, for the heavy 3d games.
hey i just hit gameloft.com from my evo and there are a bunch of games now available for purchase, 5 bucks each. it's not all of the android games though, missing dungeon hunter for example. but looks like u can get nova and gangstar
It just annoys me that knowing Android phone having better GPU than iPhone while not having game that take advantage or UI hardware acceleration for the matter of fact.
Look at Rage HD released on iPhone/iPad Today, it simply looks amazing, and it ran well on iPad's last generation hardware. I believe the same game can run even better on Galaxy S phones; however, because of our freedom to install any application (ie. installable .apk -> Rampant piracy), many developers avoided Android market like fly's trap. (Gameloft comes to mind).
Anyways here's a short video by Gizmodo. Enjoy.
http://gizmodo.com/5693208/download-the-most-badass-iphone-first+person-shooter-ever-right-now
Edit: oh yeah, did I mention it was only $2 dollar?
Carmack has said they are working on Rage for Android next.
Yeah theyve already said they are making an Android version.
Graphics are amazing, but Im not really a fan of on-rails shooters.
Yeap thats one of the many reasons. I got like 8 hacked apk games my self! Plus apple has lots of support even through its not as open as android. Hope soon that changes. Because after playing a few 3d games on my vibrant I know how cool it would be to have a game like RageHD on android. One other reason is because there are way to many android devices with lots of different specs and that might be a big issue.

Well...let me explain why this happens. The iPhone is great to develop for because there are essentially 3 devices (4 if you add iPad). This makes development and testing significantly easier and cheaper since you only have to support a very small number of devices. Apps that are iPhone4 or iPad only only have to be tested on a single device. For a game developer this is huge. This is why some great games only come out on Consoles and not PC's. Its because the developers don't have to test against dozens upon dozens of video cards, OS versions, screen sizes, RAM configurations, processors from multiple manufacturers. If you need to do some binary code for optimization, a single platform makes this simple.
All of this same stuff applies to Android phones. There are hundreds of different models, different screen sizes, OS versions, GPUs, Processors, Driver issues, etc etc. While app development may actually be easier on Android, its also much much harder to deliver a game experience across such a diverse platform.
Well if u like racing games check out Need For Speed Shift. Awesome game and looks and runs great!

No body speaks of piracy here, so I don't understand your point here.
I don't think Gameloft is withholding the games from the market strictly on piracy issues...
This game seems cool the graphics are awesome...but it not being for android reminds me of how much I want Pocket God for android.
I've been playing Hawx and Asphalt and I'm pretty impressed. I'm not really a gamer so ymmv.
Don't blame me, blame my keyboard's autocorrection algorithm.

True, but that doesn't make it any harder for them to develop for iOS, and only a very small minority of iOS users jailbreak their phones. Android comes by default allowing installable APKs. That's a huge, factorable difference. It means people only need to do a Google search to pirate software (unless they're on AT&T).

There was a version out for the LG Nitro, but I dont think sideloading that worked well on the S II. There might be a new version out for it now though
ya played it graphics are worst when compared to the iphone version..........
im a big fan of street fighter iv.. and after playing the android and iphone version, i laughed hard because the Nintendo 3DS version is a lot better than this poor effort, even if the 3DS version has static backgrounds, at least it's stereoscopic.. and the 3DS version is the SUPER version by the way.. so more characters with 2 ultra combos each and bonus stages..
how many years has it been since this was released on the iphone? capcom didn't took the time to polish the game further or make it even at par with the 3DS version since capcom already developed a mobile version of the MT framework engine..

Why would they -
1) The 3DS version will sell way more than Android at a much higher price.
2) why spend time and money developing something you know won't play that well on most devices due to touchscreen controls?

Well, this is awkward ... cracked before released ? lol
It's available for the LG Nitro, which was then modified to work on other resolutions
Which ver to get? Wvga or hvga?
If you want to use it on an S2 (which I assume since you are posting here) you should get the WVGA version. HVGA is for Half VGA, 320x480px screen.
lol i wonder how many screens will crack because of this game... Street Fighters and King of Fighters series owe me few keyboards and joysticks already
if its released officially then how many chances that our mali gpu can supports full of quality graphics as in iphone version.....?????
It took too long for them to release for Android, they should have release Tekken vs Street Fighter or Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom instead.
When is the official release date.
The trailer is out, take note (npi) of the final screen. - Doesn't look like any timed exclusive is happening as has been suggested.

Potentially the Android market version may only be initially available to devices that identify themselves as the Galaxy Note, but tomorrow it will supposedly be available for Android, iOS, Mac and PC.
And I would imagine the free APK will be immediately distributed for Sideloading anyway.
Regardless, not as big a deal as it was made out. Not that I care anyway, just saying
Yeah
Its stupid game anyway , not like they release the best game ever or so
So much propaganda for nonsense
hmmm...
I also heard it was for the Galaxy Note first...and I didn't even know about the iOS, Mac, PC, etc...
I'll be in no rush to get it.
(However, a 13-Tile Mahjong game...I'd paid for that in a heartbeat)
The exclusive thing about it is that note owners get extra 30 levels, but the game will still be releaser to other phones.

Wait for the "Premium pack" to be released (ie. ICS for Note).
Just tried Angry Birds Space, and its clearly not optimised for the resolution of our displays. Although the main game is full-screen, all the cut scenes and menus are obviously designed for low-res displays.
Ironic, considering this game was supposed to be so closely tied to the Note.
I'm sure a lot of ppl will agree with me saying that we don really care about the angry bird space ****.
We just want our Ice Cream Sandwich!
I downloaded it, not very fun, I uninstall less than 15mins
No offence to anyone... But what did you expect?
This is extra marketing for both companies and that's all it is... Rovio, a company that makes MILLIONS for there games wouldn't make a game optimised for what is essentially still a niche device..
Hell, optimisation will always be based more towards iPhone (if of course it were optimised for a specific device).
But, I do think its a fairly fun little time waster.. and Ill never knock something I didn't pay for. Now lets all forget this political ridiculousness and look forward to Gnote ICS Premium Suite.
Direct link to apk please?
Hmm, so the extra levels are there by default if you have a Samsung phone. Just go to Danger Zone.

I love the whole try and pull the wool over our eyes routine. I mean, they obviously missed their mark on this "flagship device" and to try and mask that they jump out with "ALL NEW EXCLUSIVE NOTE ANGRY BIRDS LEVELS!" Is that supposed to make me glad I got my note? Nope, it was the fact that it I really thought sammy would be on top of this one and we would see the updates quicker. Still a great device mind you but man I wish we got some more love from big ole samsung, nope S2 gets it, who would figure. Rant over....
In the Level-Section "Eggsteroids" is next to Level One a golden Galaxy Note, maybe this has to do something with the Galaxy-Note-exclusive part?

Yes, that's the only exclusive level for Note users.
It's confirmed in the Introducing Premium Suite with Ice Cream Sandwich video description: www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=RkZz2pr69DY

So I finished watching the PS4 press conference, and its all great, but I saw the Xperia Z mentioned trought and they said something about streaming ps1,2,3 games across the vita, tablets and phones. Now,I remember when I got my Xperia Play,Playstation certified was this big thing they overhyped where you were supposed to get playstation games and now its just a half-baked store nobody uses. Now,the technology exists,I've played pc games over OnLive with no lag on my 2 year old phone. I persionally think sony is gonna push playstation games to be streamed and downloaded on certified devices(legit store with lots of games),but they make a lot of promises they cant fulfil.
Anyways let me know what you think...I need a break from these trolls and 10 posts a day about HTC
Sv: Opinion on the playstation certified ecosystem
Never used the option on my 1 year old Xperia S. Saw a few games in a app hopeless in age but the price was in the very high end so no reason to start that adventure.

it will be more meaningful once the trophies and leader board system is in place.
Never really used it since FPSE is doing wonders... It's nice to have it, but I have to try it out more - hopefully they'll integrate it with PS3's Playstation Network, add trophies and more games. Maybe PSP games, but I wouldn't count on it.
Playstation cert is just markrting.
I have few games which is awesome on grpahics side, but gameplay is like kid 5 years old made it.
I will never buy any game from PSM store.
Also they said that playstation phones will come somehow hybrid android, which could reboot or switch to playstation VITA rom, (like psvita, and that could make games compatibile to any ps phone) but no, sony didnt do anything.

I'm pretty sure that was a fan made-up rumour...
Anyway, I agree, Playstation certificate is a wasted potential. PSX emulators can do MUCH more than Sony's official PS app. Ok, i understand, you need to have the original PSX and games to be able to legally use emulators - but hey, who doesn't keep his old PSX on a silk pillow right ? I certainly do!
So about the PSN app...they really need to put more work into it. Come on Sony, you have thousands of games ready to enchance your smartphones, use it! If third-party emulators can flawlessly run each PSX games, you certainly can as well.
No, that wasnt fan boy rumor.
Sony says that by them self on official blog.
But that will never come true imo.
