I'm running CodefireX 4.2.1 SR9.1 with Franco kernel.
Chrome Beta is buggy on a particular URL--where Dolphin works just fine. I'd like someone else to confirm this on their N4 with Chrome Beta before I submit a bug report.
The page flickers like crazy with jitter as I keep my finger down and scroll:

Does anything else see this? Thanks.
ParanoidAndroid 3.0 with stock kernel. Exactly the same behaviour as reported above. It seems to be due to the stupid share box which madly chases the visible screen when scrolling.

I've noticed since 4.2, any kind of grey popup overlay (such as menus and installing apps) has a weird banding effect either in the middle of the dialog or in the bottom right. Does anyone else have this problem? Was initially worried it was my screen, but I'm able to screenshot it, so I'm guessing it's a software side glitch. I have two imgur links of screenshots illustrating the problem, but can't link it since I haven't hit 10 posts yet.
Yes, I know what you mean. Running Paranoid Android 2.99b2 and M+ kernel a13. I think its an issue with 4.2 though...add it to the growing list.

I have noticed weird issue in every JB build for HD2: Interface appears to lag behind your finger a bit.
Easiest way to test is on notification bar. Here is a quick video I have made comparing ICS and JB (both running at same HD2, flashed one after another):
(Please ignore jerkiness of the interface - this is caused by recording software).
Notice how ICS's notification drawer is literally glued to your finger, but in JB notification drawer lags behind your finger. It may seem like a minor issue, but ICS one opens faster and it generally feels more fluid.
Video was recorded on CM9 and CM10 builds of NexusHD2, but as I said it happens with every JB rom.
Is that intended behavior of JB? Is there a way to fix that? Does anyone else also experience similar problems?

No.
Maybe.
Yes, everyone.
Test this ROM and tell me if the problem still persists.
I can't really say without multiple HD2s side by side. But I think problem is still there, but not as significant as in Jelly Bean (it could be just placebo though).
JB hss always been slightly laggy for me, I only use jb over ics because I like google now
Hi, after trying every single AOSP ROM out there, they all have this weird scrolling lag that when I hold my finger on the screen while scrolling, it seems to stutter, like the screen seems like its running at 20fps instead of 60. I remember some older builds of Omni and slimkat had it fixed but now they both have it back again. changing kernels and settings etc. does not work. Does anyone know a work around or something to fix this?

I've been having a similar issue where UI transitions get bogged down and it looks more like 0.1 fps. I have to put the phone down and let it catch up for minutes at a time. Sometimes I have to reboot the device to get things cleared up.
I've tried all kinds of kernel/rom combos with no success.
Is anyone else having this issue and more importantly, did you find a fix?
It seems to only happen when there is some sort of transition going on... keyboard coming up, notification drawer going up or down, swiping away notifications, bringing up recents, exiting an app, opening an app, etc...:silly:
Thanks much.

Did you manage to find out what is causing this or fix it somehow? I think I experience exactly the same thing on my d802 using Mahdi 4.4.2, but it did not happen on beta 1 but started happening ever since vibration was added to the rom starting from beta 2. Maybe some kind of conflict in how vibration is implemented on AOSP as it does not happen on CM 11 (CAF) or other CM based roms for me on d802.

Nope, haven`t used an AOSP ROM in about 2 months... I need that camera quality that stock ROMs have that AOSP doesn`t
Hi,
was wondering if someone else can contribute.
I am using the habit browser on my N4/LP, which I think is (by far) the best web browser available.
But I noticed some really bad screen flickering/redrawing issues while loading a website.
Also happens while loading a webpage in a background tab, the screen flickers like mad until everything is loaded.
Does anyone experience the same with this browser?
I definitely think this wasn't the case in KitKat, but I am not sure. Today is the first time I noticed the bad flickering of the webview
Hello everyone,
I am really happy with my OnePlus 6t except for the scrolling experience. In some apps like Chrome, Instagram and Amazon it is simply off. It is either too sensitive or it simply lags. In Chrome for example if I scroll quickly my touch is not recognized and it doesn't scroll. Some Webpages work better and some worse.
Is there any way to fix the lag or at least unify the scrolling experience for all apps?
The device itself is brilliant but the scrolling lag drives me crazy.
Thank you in advance
Flash a custom kernel like RZ.

Hey,
I noticed this recently too. When I use Chrome, the only browser I use, it has a weird lag where it only scrolls down only a little bit. I installed Opera to test that out so we will see. I would change to a custom kernel but I have the McLaren edition and I don't want to lose warp charge.
So yes, I have experienced this as well, but only in Chrome so far! Maybe you could try a custom kernel.
Do you use "Deep optimizing" (Battery>Advanced Optimizing>Deep....)?
I did before and experienced serious lags occasionally - not always, but have no lag-problem at all after I turned this option off.

Will a custom kernel fix the issue?

Thanks for the tip. I have already turned off battery optimization all together.

You can try it. I would try a custom kernel but I have the McLaren and don't want to lose features.
Just try a custom kernel and see if it works!!
