Hi, after trying every single AOSP ROM out there, they all have this weird scrolling lag that when I hold my finger on the screen while scrolling, it seems to stutter, like the screen seems like its running at 20fps instead of 60. I remember some older builds of Omni and slimkat had it fixed but now they both have it back again. changing kernels and settings etc. does not work. Does anyone know a work around or something to fix this?

I've been having a similar issue where UI transitions get bogged down and it looks more like 0.1 fps. I have to put the phone down and let it catch up for minutes at a time. Sometimes I have to reboot the device to get things cleared up.
I've tried all kinds of kernel/rom combos with no success.
Is anyone else having this issue and more importantly, did you find a fix?
It seems to only happen when there is some sort of transition going on... keyboard coming up, notification drawer going up or down, swiping away notifications, bringing up recents, exiting an app, opening an app, etc...:silly:
Thanks much.

Did you manage to find out what is causing this or fix it somehow? I think I experience exactly the same thing on my d802 using Mahdi 4.4.2, but it did not happen on beta 1 but started happening ever since vibration was added to the rom starting from beta 2. Maybe some kind of conflict in how vibration is implemented on AOSP as it does not happen on CM 11 (CAF) or other CM based roms for me on d802.

Nope, haven`t used an AOSP ROM in about 2 months... I need that camera quality that stock ROMs have that AOSP doesn`t

Whenever I type on Facebook or anywhere else on the net my keyboard is extremely laggy. Its fine in apps and such. Ive tried three different keyboards - asus, android, and thumb so I don't think that's the problem and my wifi signal is very strong so I know that's not the issue either. Im rooted but running stock rom/kernel. Will flashing a custom rom and/or kernel remedy this? If so any suggestions on which ones?

this is a known issue there is allot of information about it use search before posting
It's Honeycomb, not the Transformer itself.
Should be improved in ICS.
I like the Asus keyboard better then the stock honeycomb one but it was laggy as hell before I disabled that half ass Swype feature.
It's an issue with the stock browser. Apps work just fine because they're optimized for the hardware, but most of the websites on the internet are not. You can alleviate some of the lag by using a different browser like Opera, but don't expect miracles.
I've been on a bit of a vacation from xda but wanted to share some jellybean builds for people that want to try it out.

* bluetooth
* headphone jack
* other things no doubt as this is a preview build

Any idea if that touch screen issue for certain eris screens is in this build? Like the one from ur first ics aosp builds?
As far as I know, both the synaptics and melfas screens should work. I don't have a melfas one to test with though so you might have to be the guinea pig.
Well it boots and is pretty smooth, but my touch screen doesnt work, not even the cursor, i have to use the ball to navigate so didnt play around with it much. Really smooth and no real heavy lag so def lookin forward to it, and have you seen Tazz's jb build?
Ok, that makes me think that the melfas screens need the extra legacy touchscreen support that I hadn't added since mine was working fine. I'll try and get a new build for you to test soon.
Yes!! Touch screen works!!
Re-download the ROM from the OP and see if it's working for the melfas touchscreen.
Ok, touch screen works and music plays. But the browser doesnt open, and home n.search soft keys dont do anything, and if none of that is suppose to yet then cool, this is crazy fast, settings opend without lag, you're awesome! Ha thanks

Is this with a full wipe before flashing? All of those are working fine for me. What happens when you attempt to open the browser and could you get a logcat of it?
The home and search soft keys not working could still be related to the melfas touchscreen issues but seems strange if menu and back work and all four were fine on ICS. Do they still vibrate like it's recognizing that a key is being pressed just not doing the action?

Hmm, that sounds sort of like the system partition filled up. In adb shell or terminal emulator, run df -h and let me know what it says for mtdblock3 which is /system.
Here's mine with gapps flashed:
Code:
/dev/block/mtdblock3 170.0M 165.2M 4.8M 97% /system
And if you could get a logcat of the browser open/exit that might help too.
Alright, ill do that after i get home from school. Like 3ish est
Great work getting this running on the Eris
I was just wondering if anyone would like me to release:
ICS;
Paranoid Android
Cyanogemod 9
AOKP
MIUI v4
JB;
Cyanogenmod 10
Paranoid Android
If so, they should be released tonight

I've made some of them already, just need to get home, build the roms, upload
Works great! And best of all the microphone works.
How did you get microphone working? because it still doesn't work in my ics roms for the HTC hero GSM:/

Can't point you to anything specifically as it had been working in ICS for awhile and JB now also. Didn't stritfajt's ICS builds for the hero have a working mic?
Does anybody else have an Eris with the melfas screen and either way, are any of you having problems similar to dragonrazorz?

I don't know if you are including all of his problems or just the touch screen. My touch screen works perfectly and all of my soft keys work.
I am having the same trouble installing SetCPU (says it can't install on USB storage or SD card). I get the same message when I try to install the pro key for Titanium Backup.
I have noticed weird issue in every JB build for HD2: Interface appears to lag behind your finger a bit.
Easiest way to test is on notification bar. Here is a quick video I have made comparing ICS and JB (both running at same HD2, flashed one after another):
(Please ignore jerkiness of the interface - this is caused by recording software).
Notice how ICS's notification drawer is literally glued to your finger, but in JB notification drawer lags behind your finger. It may seem like a minor issue, but ICS one opens faster and it generally feels more fluid.
Video was recorded on CM9 and CM10 builds of NexusHD2, but as I said it happens with every JB rom.
Is that intended behavior of JB? Is there a way to fix that? Does anyone else also experience similar problems?

No.
Maybe.
Yes, everyone.
Test this ROM and tell me if the problem still persists.
I can't really say without multiple HD2s side by side. But I think problem is still there, but not as significant as in Jelly Bean (it could be just placebo though).
JB hss always been slightly laggy for me, I only use jb over ics because I like google now
Having been using this for couple of weeks and seems to work mostly fine: (MoKee dior, can't post links yet, google helps)
Only problem seems to be with theming engine, it could be my nova launcher or something else thou, haven't tried with fresh install after systemui started to randomly crash. Nothing big, and not constantly, but sometimes. Anyone else tried & had similar problem?

Yes, I have the same problem with fresh install and looks like it's a common problem. My guess is it has something to do with RAM management.
+1 to the Systemui crash, but in my experience it happened after almost 10+ days after installing the ROM but i would say its still manageable by looking at the customization options the ROM gives...
Hopefully we may get a stable ROM soon
Hello everyone,
I am really happy with my OnePlus 6t except for the scrolling experience. In some apps like Chrome, Instagram and Amazon it is simply off. It is either too sensitive or it simply lags. In Chrome for example if I scroll quickly my touch is not recognized and it doesn't scroll. Some Webpages work better and some worse.
Is there any way to fix the lag or at least unify the scrolling experience for all apps?
The device itself is brilliant but the scrolling lag drives me crazy.
Thank you in advance
Flash a custom kernel like RZ.

Hey,
I noticed this recently too. When I use Chrome, the only browser I use, it has a weird lag where it only scrolls down only a little bit. I installed Opera to test that out so we will see. I would change to a custom kernel but I have the McLaren edition and I don't want to lose warp charge.
So yes, I have experienced this as well, but only in Chrome so far! Maybe you could try a custom kernel.
Do you use "Deep optimizing" (Battery>Advanced Optimizing>Deep....)?
I did before and experienced serious lags occasionally - not always, but have no lag-problem at all after I turned this option off.

You can try it. I would try a custom kernel but I have the McLaren and don't want to lose features.
Just try a custom kernel and see if it works!!
