Stuck at Galaxy S screen after Odin....

Recently i bought a GT-i9000. When I tried to boot the phone, it got stuck in a boot loop. The phone had CyanogenMod installed. I figured I'd try to use an Odin reset with this stock firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1290577
The phone enters download mode fine, the file flashes in odin successfully. But upon restarting, the phone brings up the Galaxy S screen and stays there.
Nothing happens, I've left it for over 15 minutes.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks, im pretty new to the Galaxy S.
Had a Hero, Desire HD and an Atrix, but this is confusing me...
Get into recovery wipe everything(data/cache/dalvik cache) again and reboot

Thanks, but it won't boot into recovery.
I boot into recovery by using VolUp, Power and Home buttons correct?

ammm, I normally do VolUp, Home, and then Power, I really don't know if the order is important.
If you can't get into recovery, you should be able to go into download mode with VolDown, Home, Power.
Probably you installed a rom without the required bootloaders, this can happen when upgrading from foryo to gingerbread using a custom rom without bootloaders.
Go to Samfirmware and download JVP rom, make sure the PDA file has "_sbl" on the filename, this should mean it includes the gingerbread bootloaders.
Best of lucks!

i got a blue screen on my huawei u8800 when i turn on the phone. if i connect to the computer it says only one disk witch is 235 mb. what can i do to fix it? i have tried several things but nothing works. i can't sent it in either because the phone was rooted before so my warranty is not more possible to use says the company where i bought the phone.
I have same problem wth your problem.
My screen blue after change boot and image file, but after release batery n restart again it's ok and cwm change with new one.
If yours not work,i suggest you chanfe image n boot file with previous one.
Hopely it's can help you...

i have tried to put boot.img into to folder(235 mb) witch shows when i connect my phone to my computer. have also tried to copy the kerneø and boot files to a micro sd card but that doesn't work either.
don't copying boot n image fike to sd card, you should make pink screen condition of your x5.
just shut down your x5 then press vol up + vol down + power button in the same time, wait untill x5 screen change to pink, than you can copy image n boot file there.
finished copying, release your batery than turn on x5 normaly,it work in my x5.
hope this can help...

I start flashing the rom the screen says updating but when it goes to reboot it never turns back on ... can someone please help me if possible

Do a Google search for going into recovery mode for yor phone n then wipe cache n data...
Then reboot. Phone will boot

Thanks for the reply bro ... but the only thing I get out of the phone rightnow is the bootloader when its attached to RSD lite
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
perhaps easiest is to just start from beginning flash a clean sbf - root it again and install cm7 again.
after flash of sbf you should be able to get into the recovery menu again (press power plus vol - when switching on the phone), so you can clear cache. then booting should not be a problem.
Thanks for the reply ... I flashed the stock US tmobile 2.2.1 sbf and it worked out fine
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
That happened to me as well I think I read in one of the forums the reason for that is because you flashed the wrong sbf. Did the same thing as you I just flashed the nordic one instead and it worked out beautifully.
Yea worked fine for me with the name change ... only thing is the battery reads as a question mark ... I have no clue why ... but I use a battery dock to charge the battery instead of the phone

If ur battery is fully dead which is the reason u can not get into the bootmode (Volume up + power) then you have to create a trick wire called the macgyver which u can find the instructions to do that in the Motorola Defy Xda Wiki ... once u get that working to power up ur phone thru ur computer then u can get RSD lite working
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
Why don't you folk read a very handy FAQ?
[FAQ] Cyanogenmod 7 by Quarx
I followed it and got CM7.1 installed perfectly fine.

No no no no no. Why would you do that? Always see if you can charge it first, whether in recovery, chargeonly mode or bootmenu. Never go straight to a SBF flash.

[Q] Dumb rookie needs help-LG optimus L7 bricked

I rooted phone nicely. Then tried to flash the recovery through the CWM app, and after finishing installing, the app rebooted the phone, but it never booted to the menu. The phone worked fine, though. After, I found the new firmware update V20W_00.KDZ and tried to install it through the KDZ_FW_UPD app on the computer. When the program finished doing the process and showing me a message it has suceessfully finished, the phone tried to boot. It displayed the LG logo and the sound that comes with the animation. It stayed there for an hour. Phone can't boot. I can perfectly go through the emergency mode, and misteriously I can now go to the recovery CWM and emergency mode, too. Besides, when phone's completely off, it shows the charging battery animation when plugged to power adapter. Is there a way I can install any rom or something else from the recovery? I already tried the LG mobile support tool, but after downloading the update, it seems it has some sort of connection problem with the phone even though it's on emergency mode. HELP!
