Do you have location access enabled in any apps, widgets, weather news or facebook/twitter, google now?
Have you installed lookout app? This app(recent update, no problem before) get the gprs on no matter location service is off or not.

I have location access on but GPS off. And it should not turn it on. Like I've said no new apps installed, I have all the same stuff since release of the phone. this started recently ....
I use Google now but this has never affected my phone

Is there a way to limit sound notifications by time of day?
There are apps that do that. I use something called Settings Profiles, but there are many others.
Give TaskBomb a try. It is free and l like it.
I use it to turn off WiFi and synch at night.

I have been using 'Sound Manager' (free in Play store) for this. Allows setting of separate schedules for System, Notification/Ringer and Media sounds.

I have disabled GPS, and gone into my location access settings and ensured that facebook cannot make use of my GPS, but for some reason the app is taking 71% of my battery. When I click to see more details on the facebook app, I can see that under GPS in "use details" it says 1d 6h 48m (the same time my device has been on for).
If I have disabled GPS, and even force quit Facebook, how can it be taking up so much of my battery?

i use the facebook app with no issues...
Uninstall and reinstall?
Also you can use the data usage setting to disable background data by specific apps.
uninstall and never ever go back to Facebook?
that's going to take care of the problem.

The browser is 10× faster than the app, without this "oh something went wrong" .. Even with this "better" update..

Really?
I've never had a problem with the facebook app, on my S3 or Nexus7. I can easily get over a full day on both. Twitter too. Have you tried a different app? Like Seemic?
Hello.
I have this problem (only with google play only with nexus7): the app updates are ssooooo slooowww (really slow...).
It's so strange. I had no problem a week ago.
I don't understand: i have tried:
-delete google account
-empty the cache of service, google play and so one + reboot...
And nothing.
The strangest thing is the other function are normal: Nexus 7 runs well, chrome runs well... all the internet services are perfect...
An idea???
Thanx
i hope im in the right section ^^
Have you checked your free space? I know my updates slow to a crawl when I am down to my last 500mb of space
i have plenty of space (32gb)...And i have some problems ONLY with google play app updates... nothing else! :crying:
up... please
So you are sure it couldn't be related to your internet connection because all the other things are running as well as before?

mmm i can see that thx
up:crying:
so it's appeared that my others android devices have the same issues!!!!
(google play don't download)
Perhaps my box? But i haven't had probleme till now!
I was on another stock rom that was giving me some problems with RR's and some things so I flashed another stock T-Mobile debloated rom found here....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2688981
And now I have this hideous BT wakelock. It's really annoying. I have read a lot about it on the net but just not whether or not there is a fix for it... I don't really want to use an AOSP rom. I like the stability of stock with some exposed additives but this is kinda crazy. Really eats a lot of my battery up...

It sounds like you know what you're talking about. I'm just a little confused. Bluetooth isn't running. It's not even turned on. So, I'm not thinking it's an app. Apparently it's a known issue. I just wonder if anyone has fixed it .. Or how their dealing with it.

It is a bug with in kitkat its self not lg's ui
Download the service disabler app from play store
Open it and go to system apps .. scroll down to bluetooth open it and kill all blue services by clicking them ...
If you end up with any issues with bluetooth not working just revert the diaabled services .
This app works for any serice and is my best friend

Thanks! Will do. I hardly ever use bluetooth so this will be great. So I can just re-enable the service when I want to use it!

I dunno. I asked myself the same question. I charged to 100% and then unplugged and went about 16 hours with about 5 hours screen on time before the phone turned itself off.... Others get better life. With the other kit Kat stock rom I had I went about 18 hours with 5 hours screen on time and had about 20% left.... That rom started random rebooting. Never could figure out why... If I reflash it will remove my TWRP hence why I don't just reflash that one and started using this one....

I deleted both my Facebook app and messenger, and I had much better battery life for a few days. Now however, my sot is barely at 2 1/2 hours again, and my top usage is chrome. It's pretty frustrating because I stopped using Facebook altogether, and in still having poor battery. I think chrome is not letting it doze. Any of you guys have had the same issues?

Are you logged into Facebook on chrome and using notifications? What I do is just log into Facebook each time I open chrome and close the page when I leave it through recent apps. If that's not the issue you could try clearing all data for chrome and then clear phone cache.

The phone looks like is entering doze to me. Do you have root? You need to use an app like BetterBatteryStats to properly investigate the cause of your drain.
Looks like you're affected by the mobile active radio bug like I am

My battery is a bit naff too, I deleted Facebook ages ago, had enough of that thing.
This radio bug though. How do you get rid of that mate? Or even known you've got it ?
This is just normal run of the mill days for me.

Yeah I think I'm hit with that bug... I have not found a fix for it, and many articles mention that marshmallow was supposed to fix it... I wonder if a custom rom would fix this... This is the first phone I had that I have yet to root, and that's because I like having the monthly security updates...

yeah from what i've read there is no fix. not sure if even a factory reset would fix it.
Some people recommended downgrading to the 2.15 radio which i did last night so i can't say whether it got much better yet or not.
Also, you can still take the updates while rooted. its very simple to do yourself or there is a tool call flashfire which does it for you now i think
