I was on another stock rom that was giving me some problems with RR's and some things so I flashed another stock T-Mobile debloated rom found here....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2688981
And now I have this hideous BT wakelock. It's really annoying. I have read a lot about it on the net but just not whether or not there is a fix for it... I don't really want to use an AOSP rom. I like the stability of stock with some exposed additives but this is kinda crazy. Really eats a lot of my battery up...

It sounds like you know what you're talking about. I'm just a little confused. Bluetooth isn't running. It's not even turned on. So, I'm not thinking it's an app. Apparently it's a known issue. I just wonder if anyone has fixed it .. Or how their dealing with it.

It is a bug with in kitkat its self not lg's ui
Download the service disabler app from play store
Open it and go to system apps .. scroll down to bluetooth open it and kill all blue services by clicking them ...
If you end up with any issues with bluetooth not working just revert the diaabled services .
This app works for any serice and is my best friend

Thanks! Will do. I hardly ever use bluetooth so this will be great. So I can just re-enable the service when I want to use it!

I dunno. I asked myself the same question. I charged to 100% and then unplugged and went about 16 hours with about 5 hours screen on time before the phone turned itself off.... Others get better life. With the other kit Kat stock rom I had I went about 18 hours with 5 hours screen on time and had about 20% left.... That rom started random rebooting. Never could figure out why... If I reflash it will remove my TWRP hence why I don't just reflash that one and started using this one....

I know this sounds silly but it's actually really bothering me, mostly because I can't figure out why it's not working.
When I had my phone stock unrooted I could check in on FB.
When I was stock rooted I could still check in on FB.
I debloated, installed xposed and wanam, added a modded launcher and now I can't check in.
What crazy is I have done almost all the same changes to my wife note 3 and she still can check in.
Only thing we have done different is the debloating.
Curious if anyone else has broke this after debloating?
Thanks

And nothing else on phone appears to be broken. Gps is working for all other features
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
Probably one of the apps you froze. If you get it figured out let us know. But not logging into FB might be considered a feature by some.
Sent from my SCH-I905 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Is this via the FB app or browser? If browser make sure you haven't disabled javascript. I temporarily turn off javascript when browsing XDA so it doesn't constantly refresh but it also breaks things.
In the android app

Check if there has been a update since you rooted that may have caused it. And try the normal, if you haven't already, reinstall and who's phone cache.

Nobody cares that u stopped by Costco to buy toilet paper. Wutever broke that "check in" feature did u a favor.
...im kidding bro. plz dont take offense. I just love giving facebookers a hard time. having said that, I appear to be the only person in the milky way galaxy without a facebook account so maybe I should be the one getting cracked on. im also the only person in the galaxy that still has a Myspace so im sorta cool right??

Facebook has been having issues lately. My wife had me log in yesterday to check something and we both couldn't post. Intermittent posting issues.

Ok so I figured out out has something to do with my settings. Because I logged into my wife's account on my device and the check in ability worked perfectly.
Now to try and figure out what setting is messed up on my device.

I have been using my S5 and sometimes music stops playing. fingerprint sensor stops to work but i get to access with alternative code.
I enter but find that touchwiz launcher restarts... I freak out not knowing what happened and check the ram. It is using 90% of avaiable ram. I dont know what uses so much ram. and sometimes camera takes a picture but picture looks broken and same. touvhwiz launcher restarts... sometimes...but frequently.
anyone knows?
add: any happened to see that power button becomes unresponsive? does greenify or gravity screen make perfect culprit? because i uninstalled them, restarted and everuthing is fine now...

I think this is the same issue:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2734358
Can you provide more information please? This happens using the stock Music app or it's not related?
Maybe there's a memory leak somewhere. I haven't encountered the issue yet but I always use Play Music.

So is your warranty.
I would love to do the same. as I did with almost every device in the last years. but Knox Status is a realy pain in the ass. My device now responds quicker after switching to another launcher, but it's even snappier after a restart. Touchwiz simply is a pain in the ass.

but hey without root you cant even change music with volume buttons...
use swipeback, gravity box, titanium backup etc... we are losing so much freedom for warranty.
Once I proof that my device is not defective 4 one month, i will root it...

Hi I want to start my service after it is killed by the user or the system.
I thought about creating a second app and monitor if the service is running and if not then start it.
The problem I have with that is
- I need two apps
- It drains more battery
I hope you can help me find the best solution for my problem
Yeah, I think if you override the onDestroy method on your service class, and then you can send a broadcast from there.
In your broadcast receiver you can start the service again.
Though i have never tried it myself, i think this should work.
Tell me how it goes
Happy coding!!

I believe there is no such way... otherwise android would be very insecure for malware that just does this . You can only restart your service once the user restarts your activity, there should not be another way (and START_STICKY for the system of course). And please don't do two apps which listen for each other, if the user willingly kills your service they usually have a reason and expect that your app is not working right until they restart it.

Just an idea, it might be possible when your app is a Device Admin with the APIs that you get with that. Though you have to read it yourself, I have no clue about how it works.

Thanks I will look at that. Most people have my app as Device Admin because that way it can't be uninstalled
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well I found the solution.
When device admin is enabled the app can't be force-stopped or uninstalled. Then the user can only stop the service and then the onDestroy methode is called so then I can restart the service again. Tanks guys
