I wonder if there is some sort of nexus exclusive auxillary out cable... When i plug intomy car stereo, weird things happen.. Apps launch, horrible 'whop whop whop' sounds come through my speakers.. I have tried several cables, with the same results.. They are all sheilded cables. If i plug my tablet in or my gs2 in, the sound is fine. And it sounds fine when i use headphones.. Anybody have the same problem?

Volume doesn't change it. It even makes noise when no sound is playing. I thought it was ground feedback from a bad stereo install, but since the other devices don't do it, I guess that's not the case. The only thing I can think is that there is the little bit of exposed plug in the audio jack of the phone.. See the pic

I started having a problem with my phone this morning. I tried connecting my headphone set to it, but it doesn't recognise it anymore. I restarted the phone but to no avail. Anyone know how to solve it? Thank you very much in advance.
I don't really use headphones because I have a BT headset. Is this what you are referring to? If so, can it connect or see anything else? Have you installed anything or changed any settings recently that would cause a malfunction with BT?
No no, I don't mean a BT headset, I mean the actual headphones that came with the phone.

Thanks for the reply!
Your TP came with headphones?!? Interesting... Well considering at&t and their reputation, I suppose no headphones is par for the course!
So, no idea as I've never used wired headphones with my TP/at&t Fuze, sorry!
It must be the European version haha. Anyway, could anyone with these headphones give me an indication of what is wrong?Thank you..
i have problems with my bluetooth headset bck-08
has anybody some experiences?
Hi.first of all i want to say that i love the nexus 7.i even stopped using my laptop and i spent most of the time with this great tablet.
But I'm having an problem.when i try to use any headphone or headset with, it barely works.for example the one that came with the galaxy nexus.sometimes i really have to push it too hard to able to listen to music.am i having an issue with my unit or i have to buy a certain kind of headphone?
I'm also thinking of buying a Bluetooth stereo headset just in case.

You need to give the plug a firm push to seat it, it's a tight fit.
To what point? I'm afraid that I'll break the thing

Everything us fine for me like this

Yeah it's a pretty tight fit. I thought my 3.5mm jack was broke until I pushed it in a bit and it worked perfect.
If anyone is looking for an external keyboard for the Nexus 10 I just got a Logitech K400.
I had seen a year old thread (4.3?) that said you'd need a different kernel but it could be made to work. However it works with the KOT49H kernel.
This is NOT a bluetooth keyboard - at least it is not recognized as a bluetooth device. You need to use the included unifying adapter and an OTG cable!
But with this setup everything works remarkably well. Specifically this is a 14" keyboard that you can actually type on - for real. The trackpad works flawlessly, complete with multitouch scrolling.
All the dedicated keys work also! Not the function keys that have no equivalent in Android. But Home, play, lock, power on/off, volume, search etc.
This is a very cool device well worth the $25 Amazon charged for it. It is now practical to actually use AIDE.
Sounds very interesting. How bout a picture of it connected to the tab with your OTG cable?

This sounds crazy, but I have to ask at this point...
I listen to my OP6t each night to fall asleep. Sometimes I use the included usb-c to headphone adapter, and other times I use an aftermarket one that allows me to play and charge, like this:

Now here is the strange thing: I have a bunch of sets of earphones. Some specifically for sleeping, and two different pairs of Xiaomi earphones. A set of headphones will usually last me 1 - 2 years before breaking. However I'm going through almost one set per week with my OP6t. And every time, it is the left earbud that goes either super quiet or silent altogether.
And the other strange thing is that sometimes I stop playing music in the morning, and set them next to my bed. When I come back the next evening, they're broken.
Is this just a huge coincidence, or could the OP6t be causing this?
I'm now on my fourth set of earphones since December. All different models. Something is definitely wrong here or it's a hell of a coincidence.
Your adapter probably broke those wired headsets. Try original c adapter
Hey, I have changed my ECU on my E46 and my HU Eonon GA9350b also completely lost the sound. Everything works except the sound.
I have updated the MCU, the software, I also have checked all the wiring and I even replaced it with my old Pioneer and the sound works on it.
Does anyone have any idea what it might be?
Did you check the sound level in advanced setup? There are controls there to adjust the levels for.different sources. It might be called "Factory Settings".
I have a different model and couldn't get any sound out of mine. Adjusting those levels fixed it for me.

Hi 007matman, are you talking about the entry-level of sound in factory settings? If so, yes I did check them and all are above 0 (Image attached)
