Hi.first of all i want to say that i love the nexus 7.i even stopped using my laptop and i spent most of the time with this great tablet.
But I'm having an problem.when i try to use any headphone or headset with, it barely works.for example the one that came with the galaxy nexus.sometimes i really have to push it too hard to able to listen to music.am i having an issue with my unit or i have to buy a certain kind of headphone?
I'm also thinking of buying a Bluetooth stereo headset just in case.

You need to give the plug a firm push to seat it, it's a tight fit.
To what point? I'm afraid that I'll break the thing

Until your headphones plug is flush with the silver casing usually

Yeah it's a pretty tight fit. I thought my 3.5mm jack was broke until I pushed it in a bit and it worked perfect.

Just use an old heatsink from an xbox 1

You're such a noob. Why not a liquid cooling solution? LOL.

Hmmm, not much worse than some of the extended batteries.

I wonder if they could implemenet a battery cover with very thing heatsink fins in the cover small enough to not as bulk...
Yeah, should make it just about as comfortable to use as one of the old mobile phones my girlfriends dad lugged around with him back in the stone ages. LOL!
Even placing the phone with the back cover still on, onto a heatsink, cools it off when charging.
I keep mine on my desk which is nice and cool, and the battery never gets over 38ยบ.
i dunk mine in antifreeze... works all the time!!
Just use some liquid nitrogen http(www)youtube.com/watch?v=G5PJ1bhF8TE
charge it in the refrigerator
Use it in the freezer!
I've changed my i9023 faulted digitizer with a new one. on pin screen it works. I can click everywhere on every button! after that the central zone doesn't give any response to touch. I can't click or drag the middle of the screen. Any idea?

Make sure you've connected the flat ribbon cable on the backside of the digitizer correctly.

That was my first idea too. But if that was the case digitizer should never works. Instead it works on pin screen (i can click everywhere and it works), but not on other screens (home, apps) where it recognize my touch only on top and bottom of screen.
I think its the software issue... had happened with me recently, can u show phone info..

I wonder if there is some sort of nexus exclusive auxillary out cable... When i plug intomy car stereo, weird things happen.. Apps launch, horrible 'whop whop whop' sounds come through my speakers.. I have tried several cables, with the same results.. They are all sheilded cables. If i plug my tablet in or my gs2 in, the sound is fine. And it sounds fine when i use headphones.. Anybody have the same problem?

Volume doesn't change it. It even makes noise when no sound is playing. I thought it was ground feedback from a bad stereo install, but since the other devices don't do it, I guess that's not the case. The only thing I can think is that there is the little bit of exposed plug in the audio jack of the phone.. See the pic

Hi,
When I have an incoming call, there is a big black box that doesn't look right imo..

I've had the nexus 4 for a while now, and it hasn't really bothered me but I was wondering if a) anyone has this 'problem' or b) if anyone knows how to fix it..
It occurred on stock rom in every update I've used, and is persisting now as i use paranoidandroid..
Thanks!

Are you taking about the "box" that the answer ring is inside? If so, that's normal.

The grey part above is a place holder for where a contact image would appear if you had one set

Ahh ok, I thought it was a glitch as it crops images in a way that doesn't seem that right.. I'm not too keen on the design but it's good to know its not a problem! Cheers!

Hi guys
Anyone know what these pins are for?

I accidentally snapped one of the pins as I was cleaning the dust inside so I have used foil paper to "replace" it?
Anyone know what them pins are for? I remember seeing a diagram but I can't find it anymore

I think those are the contacts for the gps antenna.
Edit: Don't think foil is going to work, probably have an impedance mismatch now. Have you tried to see if GPS works?
GPS seems to be working fine to be honest. I tried gps status and toolbox app, Google maps and sygic and works fine

Well, if it is working fine, then its all good I suppose
Lol I just thank god I've got no major problems. I can't afford a new tablet lol
