I use a safety pin. Works great.
you can use a paper clip.
Guys, iPhone sim ejectors and paper clips DO NOT Work with the Nexus 4...
Paper clip worked fine for me.
Needle and safety pin should also work fine.
All depends on the width of whatever you're trying to push into it. The paperclips I had on hand were too fat, worked great on the iP4S but didn't work on the N4.

They gave me a free one at a Verizon store today. I was just looking for a one-time use but I ended up walking away with a free one that they had.

Isn't that just called being nice? Last time I checked, there were still some good CS people in the world haha.
Why doesn't LG sell it as accessories.. Plus they made it so small.

In the end I made my own sim tray ejector.
Items needed
1 x iPhone sim ejector
1 x small piece of abrasive paper
Just file the sim ejector tip on the paper on all direction to ensure that it is "round".
Test to ensure that the tip fits in the nexus 4 hole.
This self made ejector is easier to use than the original provided by LG.

Haha, It's not like I wanted to lose it, I go to Places that are Camera phone sensitive, thus needed to swap out the sim card to a
"not so smart" phone, during the transition, it just got lost.. at least now i have the bigger self made version and chained it to my
key chain.
Well If it goes missing again, I have my solution now.

+1 I've used the same method as well, originally I thought it'll work out of the box.
I used 500 Grid metal sand paper... Now I have 3 as spares and 1 is always with me inside the wallet.... Kept the original in the box
I used a staple once, really hard because it's flimsy... But it worked.

TBH, I was personally surprised he just gave it away. But yeah, I usually use a safety pin or a threading needle usually, as I have with the iPhone. Caution with either, since the needle might end up getting bent as it's not that strong, so don't do it with something important.

Just wanted to give my thanks to the OP. Hell of a deal. Wife needed a protector for her Lumia and I didn't want to spend to much on it.

I'm glad you appreciate it They really are the only SP company that gets my business unless I can find a cheap Zagg.
The customer service is also great. When I had my unlocked Droid 3, they accidentally sent me a protector for a Droid 2 (it looked like) all I had to do is contact them, and with no questions asked they sent me not 1, but TWO replacements for the D3.
The only other issue I ran into was when I ordered one awhile back for my Atrix HD, it must have gotten wet or something in the envelope and was stuck to the instructions they provide. Again, all I had to do was contact them and they took care of me :good:
Their excellent customer service, price, and quality keeps me coming back for SP's for all of my and my gf's devices!
Enjoy them!
"80off3" still works as well if you need 3 or more...
Great Find!! thanks for posting, just took care of 3 devices for $5 bucks including shipping
I got mine today in the mail (well yesterday but checked the mail today) and I'll start first by saying they feel really durable...which is good.
On that note, though, they are BY FAR the most pain in the @ss protectors I've EVER tried to apply in my entire life. I gave up on the Kindle Fire one and just left it slightly off on the screen protector. It's manufactured to go to the EXACT edge, which sure you can argue is a good thing, but it makes it nearly impossible to apply correctly. I'm a perfectionist, and I usually can get these things on by the 2nd or 3rd attempt and get them perfect. The GS3, just the back cover, I literally spent so far about an hour and a half applying it. Just finished, finally, after many many curse words. Debating even bothering doing the screen portion for my GS3.
I told my wife she has to do her own because I'm going to end up throwing her phone.
Amazing deal thank you sooo much!
question:
I still have spray solution from an old skinomi screen protector I had installed, can I use that one to apply this one?

My Nexus 4 is arriving tomorrow and I was about to start cutting down my SIM card for usage with my LG Nexus 4 but I instantly got worried about my current normal sized card. Is the gold part to small? Would it be safe to cut it down with the template or will i have to something special? I've cut down sims before for my old apple products and my cards gold part were always bigger.
FWIW, I would try to obtain a new SIM from the carrier first. N4's have been known to have issues with cut SIM cards (many posts about it here).
As a last resort (like some MVNO's) it should work (use a file to smooth the edges), but be prepared to obtain a replacement SIM if it gives you issues.

Ask them the cost first, they actually hit me $30 for mine even though I have been using the same one since 2003, and have been a customer since Voice Stream days. Their own web site sells them for $10 max, which if I had known at the time......
You can go into any mobile shop and they should provide a micro SIM cutting tool. They will cut your SIM there and then and it should also be for free, well it is here in the UK.

I noticed there exists a sticker like thing that can be inserted behind batteries of phones that supposedly boost the phone's signal. Since the n4 can't use those I'm wondering if there's a case that can boost the strength of the signal?

Those stickers are placebos anyways. There is no case that I know of that can boost. But avoid any metal or aluminum body cases, those cause a decrease in signal strength.
Your best bet is to try different radios depending on where you are. Some have more success with the .22 radio than the .33 and some say the most recent .54 works best. It really is a crapshoot with that and where you reside. Good luck.

Those stickers are a scam. You can find the exact same stickers sold to increase gas mileage if you stick 'em to your car.
I can't see how a case would enhance the signal, only attenuate it.
I remember buying my Sony w810i, and the dealer swore up and down that these stickers would double the phones signal. I told him I wasn't interested unless he had a watermelon scratch and sniff version.
Can't believe these things are still being sold, and even more shocking is there are idiots out there buying them.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
They worked until 3g after that I stopped buying them you probably think they never worked but when I had the star something the one with a three color screen it did in fact gain reception but that was the only phone it worked on
Sorry guess I should say I agree these do not work they had a purpose before digital signals ... Only worked on old school analog phones

Its like stickers for cars.. People think they driver faster or look cooler with them... Lol
Rooted and running Paranoid Android + franco.kernel
you mean stickers you get free when you buy new things, you would need to improve the internal aerial, no case to improve just dont use metal.

Went to best buy last night to activate my Nexus 6 on Verizon. They can activate a new nano sim for you for 30 bucks or cut your sim for 8 bucks. Probably should have spent the 30 but took the cutting instead. Works great on Verizon so far. Who said bb was completely terrible? Mostly terrible, but not completely.

$30 bucks for activation or 8 bucks to use scissors ? Best Buy still sounds pretty bad, lol. If it wasn't for them price matching, I would've stopped shopping there long ago.
The idea is to not have to deal with Verizon or buy something for one time use and don't have to wait for it to ship. *8 bucks why not

I called Verizon today, talked to a customer service rep. I told him I was getting an HTC M8 from a friend this weekend and he said he would ship me a nano sim free with 2 day shipping. I asked if I would need an adapter to activate it on my Note 3 then use it on the M8 he said no that he had already activated the sim so all I had to do was power off my Note 3, then power on the HTC M8 and I would be good to go. I would really have a hard time paying Best Buy for a free nano sim card.

I think at retail stores now it is more competence. If someone did this for me given the situation with the N6/VZW I would just come back b/c the salesperson actually knows what they are doing. Not to mention the workarounds that need a 3rd party retailer with VZW.

It may sound ridiculous to you, but that's probably because you're thinking of how easily you could do it yourself. If you realized the average intelligence of the people I deal with every day then you might not think it so ridiculous. I had a guy try to trim his SIM card down to fit into his iPhone 6. He did it wrong and ended up getting the SIM card tray (with SIM) stuck in the phone. It would pop out a little when you pushed a pin into the hole, but that was it. He ended up having to rip the tray out with pliers. Thankfully for him, forcibly ripping out the SIM tray didn't seem to do any damage to the phone.
You probably also think it's ridiculous to charge $15 to install a screen protector. I would agree with that, but mainly because I have no problem installing them myself, so I find it useless to pay someone to do it. To other people, though, putting a screen protector on straight is an insurmountable task, so they gladly pay. It's all based on perspective.

Let's just put it this way, for someone on xda that can risk bricking their phone by flashing wrong rom, deleting the wrong file, or flashing a wrong file, I am guessing they have a slightly better than average ability to utilize the technology of phones.
My mom or dad yes, they would instantly do it. I had a Verizon employee install my sim once and wouldn't let me touch it and he made the tray loose. Told him it was loose and it wasn't before, manager had to be called over cause he claimed it wasn't and got issued an exchange since it was the employees fault.
FYI for those with phones on order.. you will need a nano-sim. Presumably something you can take care of ahead of time (and use the shim to size back up to a micro-sim, or whatever)
and yes, you can cut them down by hand, but some won't want to do that.

Sure.. not complaining about the sim size. I honestly thought I was already using the smallest sized SIM in my G3. The 2 other folks I know who are purchasing also will need to change/cut their SIM, so I figured this might be useful info for upcoming buyers.
I was too lazy to go to the ATT store before my delivery came in so I just followed this guide:
http://htc-one.wonderhowto.com/how-to/convert-micro-sim-card-fit-nano-slot-your-htc-one-m8-0154010/
*** MAKE SURE YOU MEASURE THE ONE INCH MARKER AT THE BOTTOM BEFORE YOU CUT! ***
it's a bit tricky to print at 100% but a few tries later it worked. I used a nail file to get the sides to fit in after cutting.
