i know how to do a whole screen capture. I am asking if there is some app that can capture any selected part of screen. Like freehand on PC when you press f5 then you can draw a rectangle on your screen and selected part will be copied to clip board where you can paste the clip to a word file.

Well, you could always do a full screenshot and then crop out the part you want.

snapseed? are you sure? it's a good photo editor, but seems not having the feature I want.

When you have to sketch something quickly without the need for fancy features, this small application is fit for the task. All the application does is to display a full screen white page for you to draw on. The down button will erase the doodle and the center button will close the application. This application weights under 50kb and was designed to give me a paper to draw what I’m trying to picture something.
Download Confetti v.1.0 (.cab file)
PRESS THE CENTER BUTTON ON THE D-PAD TO EXIT!
thanks man !
any screen shot ?
Does it save the file?
nice little tool. i've posted it HERE with a screenshot
nice!
but how to exit the application?

why'd you name it confetti? Shouldn't it be like Graffiti?
cool app tho
this is wonderful. very useful for me as i draw graphs to understand stuff in uni all the time.. and for writing down phone numbers.
i'd suggest the options to write in black only as this colorful writing is pretty terrifying
maybe... a settings menu to change the color options?
thank you

It used to be that way when you pressed the up button but i removed it to get the most barebones app possible. I'll change it, add onscreen instructions and add a way to launch with the previous drawing.
A few more kilobytes cannot hurt!
EDIT: Actually the up button does exactly that. Press it for black ink.

Actually the up (down, left, right) does not draw black for me. It erases the screen
Great app though!!
having black and maybe the ability to save as image would be two great additions, good job.
yup, when i click any of the DPAD buttons it just erased the screen, no black ink.
Surely not. I zoom in on a photo using circular gesture but i can not drag the photo to see all of it while zoomed. Am I missing something????
Yes, you are.
Long press the pic and enjoy.
Yeah this took me ages to work out too!
Don't click and drag. Click and hold the stylus on the picture and after a sec or two you get a little window appear that shows where you are on the picture. then you can drag around
Thanks guys for informing....I also thought that it was not possible on HD ...
Thanks again
There's this thing called a "manual".
Comes in handy sometimes
yes you are rite
When I do recordings from my front-facing camera I hold it much like I would when I am using the phone; that is, in an upright position.
Is there an app or an easy way to rotate videos by 90° to the right, so that when I upload to youtube it isn't sideways?
thx!
select the pic you want, click on the options button when edit window is displayed, select "image". then you get the edit stuff you are looking for.

That's for a photo.. no rotate option there for video.
Um.....How about holding the camera correctly? Just like a REAL vid camera, the phone is meant to be held sideways (landscape) to film and snap pics.
I THINK you can rotate them with Windows Movie Maker though, I have done it before.
i can't stand when iphone users upload videos held in portrait mode. it makes me want to rip their phone out of their hands and throw it on the ground.
and yes, you can use windows movie maker to rotate them.
There is no option "Edit" on the Photo Options, so if I just want to quick highlight or write something with s-pen, I have to make screen shot and edit photo and save, but that will also not overwrite old photo but save a new one. I just would like to quick edit and overwrite, I cant believe there is no such option (?)
Thank you in advance for any information or help.

Did you try hitting the left menu button (left of the BACK button, below)? On an S4 it brings up the editor option.

Of course I did, I'm talking exactly about that; there are 13 different options that brings that button but no "Edit" option.
So can we not edit photos on Note 3?
While in the gallery, menu>signature. Edit is also at the top of the list when hitting menu.

I can confirm that there is edit option available when you open picture in the gallery app. You can find the edit at the top right corner next to delete icon. You can point to the icons using s pen to display the tool tip text.

OK, I HAVE JUST FOUND IT
AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN IS EDIT BUTTON.
(It saves also a new copy of the picture though)
I'm not talking about taking a screen shot but taking a photo and then be able to write notes on it?
I still haven't been able to figure this out?
With the pen out use Screen Write from Air Command menu while on a picture?

Which one do you mean?
There is a SIGNATURE feature, but it's not really like taking notes on the image. It's kind of cumbersome.

Screen Write takes a screen shot, so you can't zoom in and write. And it's not the original resolution of the image.

Ive added some pictures, dont know if its what you mean. I have the language set on Dutch so...

For the lower buttons you might need to scroll some, i had to.
edit -=- ive just checked its the same as signature. I dont know anything else.

That's very interesting! My Gallery app looks slightly different than yours. However, I did find the EDIT button! On my version (US Tmobile Note 3), I have to touch MENU and then the EDIT button is there.
I didn't know that we could scroll the bottom row of buttons, but now I do!
Thanks!!

not what she was looking for.
i want to write and draw with the s pen directly on the front of pictures too. would be very usefull when i´m at work
you can write on the backside of pictures(photo notice). that attaches a note to the picture but thats not what i want to do.
would be perfect if you could do it from the camera application or gallery right after you shot the pic.
i find it annoying to load it in another app first, then edit and save it again
isnt there a (camera)app or any simple way to do it ?
i saw you were right !
taking a screenshot of an image currently displayed on the screen and then writing to it works.
the downside is that the resolution gets changed but i can live with that atm.
thank you :good:

Actually, it's not too bad. I've been looking for the same thing.
I just take a picture, then open it and then go into the edit mode.
It's not too bad, I just wish the gallery app had good palm rejection like the Sketchbook Pro app which I use for drawing a lot.

insert typed text
any way we can insert "typed" text, not handwritten?
have a look at PicsArt.
might be a bit overkill.
you can really do a lot right after shooting.
typed text of any kind too.
