When you have to sketch something quickly without the need for fancy features, this small application is fit for the task. All the application does is to display a full screen white page for you to draw on. The down button will erase the doodle and the center button will close the application. This application weights under 50kb and was designed to give me a paper to draw what I’m trying to picture something.
Download Confetti v.1.0 (.cab file)
PRESS THE CENTER BUTTON ON THE D-PAD TO EXIT!
thanks man !

why'd you name it confetti? Shouldn't it be like Graffiti?
cool app tho
this is wonderful. very useful for me as i draw graphs to understand stuff in uni all the time.. and for writing down phone numbers.
i'd suggest the options to write in black only as this colorful writing is pretty terrifying
maybe... a settings menu to change the color options?
thank you

It used to be that way when you pressed the up button but i removed it to get the most barebones app possible. I'll change it, add onscreen instructions and add a way to launch with the previous drawing.
A few more kilobytes cannot hurt!
EDIT: Actually the up button does exactly that. Press it for black ink.

Actually the up (down, left, right) does not draw black for me. It erases the screen
Great app though!!
having black and maybe the ability to save as image would be two great additions, good job.
yup, when i click any of the DPAD buttons it just erased the screen, no black ink.

Is there a way to create a today plugin to use the camera's flash as a flashlight?
PLEASE READ the F*cking WIKI,
Here you go,
Yes, that is indeed its formal name, the "F*cking WIKI".
My app VJCandela might help (I recommend VJCandela lite).
Also, if you're asking the question, you probably also want to install VJLumos III on your Hermes. It's nice.
V
Lately I was making myself familiar with VJCandelaLite (pardon me, merely "Flashlight.exe" that I found somewhere) and ran into strange behavior. Further experiments revealed the following.
I created a shortcut in the Start Menu with intention to always launch VJCandelaLite this way because all hardware keys are already occupied. Now, if the shortcut is activated via the touch screen (finger or stylus), everything is OK. However if I use joystick keys to open the menu, scroll to the shortcut and start it, the flash just flashes briefly -- it's even hard to notice it. That's sad; the touch screen is always worth saving (too delicate for me), hardware keys are way better.
Then I discovered that if the flash has successfully turned on, any keypress turns it off immediately Only afterwards I found vijay555's homepage and things got a bit clearer. The rest is simple logic.
I believe that VJCandelaLite should start checking keys not immediately but after some time -- say, 500 ms. Is there a need for very short flashes anyway?

I've found that a white image on the front screen illuminates better than using the flash. Just an FYI.

I don't know if this is something you can do, but can you find a way to do this on the tf3d?:
1) Edit the "calender" button on the main screen so I can choose it to launch Pocket Informant calender instead of the normal calender?
2) Edit the ammount of agendas to be shown on the main screen? I mean,it only displays like two?
3) Get rid of the call history on the main screen for more room.
4) Make it so if I click on the clock, it won't go to the clock editing screen? Twice my time changed when I had it in my pocket. I REALLY wish the power button on my FUZE was as harder to push as the one on the Tilt.
5) Get rid of the delay when going from one tab to another? I don't mean the heavy delay on the contacts tab, but the 1-2 second pause when going from one tab to another? I think the pause is from a screen fade or something.
And this one would be hard:
1) Would it be possible to make the clock 50% smaller so more appointments show on the main screen without swiping to the secondary main screen?
Anybody? I think the clock one might be possible, but haven't found a small one yet.
Hey!
1. & 4. It is possible there is a little prog out here that redirects that buttons.
5. I think is not possible because it caused by a lag cpu power sometimes
The rest: +1
I was thinking the same about the home screen. But there are some heavy problems.
-No SDK --> Everything has to be coded in tf3d's mode9/lua language/script mix that is hardly known. Especially editing mode9 is a pain in the ass at this time, cause there is no documentation and everything has to be cracked. Anyway, there are a few people that understand the platform enough to be able to somthing like that.
I was working on a semiautomated mode9 editor but havn't got the time... perhaps I will resume that project one day.
Then it would be possible...

are you talking about the softkey. the 'button' at the bottom of the screen? you can edit your softkeys by editing the keys in this directory:
Go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila key in your registry
homeRSK is right softkey.
No, not the two soft buttons. The one that's actually in TF3D. The one that says Calender on the TODAY part of the screen

The menu icon on the home screen takes a lot of space. There could be 4 icons in there instead. Can it be removed and then bond to another phisical key like the press of the ball?

Not really understanding what your asking. Are you talking about when you hit your menu button?
I am also not really understanding the question which is why I didn't respond the first time the OP created the thread.
To OP:
Please don't make multiple threads for the same question just because your not getting a response!

Ok I'm glad I wasn't the only one. This was the first thread I looked at when I got into work. Had to wipe the sleep out my eyes take a sip of coffee and try to figure out this question.
Are they talking about the app drawer and phone tab slider on a Hero ROM maybe?????

Thats what I was thinking, but not quite sure. Just waiting on OP to respond.
I think he/she means the app draw, that's the only thing that makes sense.
1) That would require a complete re-write of the app
2) It wouldn't give you enough vertical space for the icon and text
3) All the buttons are already used (shocker!) The trackball can be used to select an icon and click on it, so that would have to be disbaled.
ok thx for the answears and sorry I crated 2 threads about this one. On the first one I messed up the thread name so I thought nobody would read it. Going back, I am talking about the button that is on the bottom of the screen, the one that pulls up all the apps. That one takes a lot of space, actually a whole row where there could be other icons instead.
So I was thinking if there is a possibility to link that menu to an actual phisical key, like pressing the scrolling ball.

Yep, that's what I thought, read my post above, it will explain why it's pointless.
actually the ahome does put 4 new icons on that bottom part but I don't know how to bind the trackball. No it would not have to be disabled the trackball action as long as there is no icon pressed. So the drawar would be pulled when the trackball would be pressed only if no icon is pressed, otherwise the icon would start
Yes because aHome moves all the other icons closer together, which would require lots of work to get launcher.apk to do the same.
dxtop has a 5 icon dock, and can deploy launcher by holding menu key.
Im playing around with my newly rooted hero all day long but i feel im missing a bit of the techie geeky part of the equation..
I learned that by holding down home and power button during start takes the phone to the recovery screen (if you have a rooted phone) and the back + powerbutton returns fastboot screen.
I dont want to f##k anything up by messing about with it without any prior knowledge, so i ask you guys.. are there any cool functions, easter eggs or similar that arent well known (like in the first 10 pages on this forum)?
for instance, a verbose boot would be awesome, especially if it was a button combo to activate..
are there any more boot combos other than the above mentioned ones?
Holding down home will show a pop up of running programs; useful to switch between programs.
When the screen is off, double press the menu button and this will bypass the lock screen.

that's not quite right. the programs shown are the most recent started programs, not necessary running programs (and of course mor programs are running in the background...). but it's really a handy feature.

You get that by manually deleting Rosie.apk from the system/app folder.
Or by deleting its cache.
Then when you hit Home it will ask for you to choose the HTC or Android Home. As long as you don't select the use as default option, it will continue to do this.

You can just press menu from the lockscreen, no matter what button you pressed to wake the phone.
In the new ROM there's no camera zoom function on the screen by default. It can be accessed by the menu...
But who wants to do that?
Just swipe your finger up the screen the zoom slider appears, then swipe where you like to adjust the zoom level.
(from the Modaco forums)
Eh ? What zoom function ?
Explain please

One additional thing I found: Holding down the power button for 1-2 seconds will get you a menu where you can choose between powering off the phone, silent mode, vibration mode, airplane mode and internet connection.
Holding down the 'back' button in the browser will get you to your recently visited pages aka history.

How else do you turn off the phone? I assumed everybody has to do this anyway.
With the new rom, you can touch the screen to focus that specific area. Okay everyone knows this. But do you know you don't have to click the trackball to take picture? Just tap and hold at the screen, it will focus on that area and then take picture.

Hi there,
can anyone explain me how to get access to the control of the "Button LEDs"?
I know there must be a way because in Android those LEDs are glowing for example when you touch a button. At WM they only glow if you PRESS a button or touch the scroll wheel.
Thank you in advance
+1 here, that would be a nice option too
OK, what exactly do you all want? Buttons that light up on touch? is that all?
I'm brainstorming on ideas for my next version of X-Sense, so.... be creative!
Cheers

That would be a first step. The default settings (light up all LEDs on button press or on scroll wheel touch) is just stupid.
The next step could be something like use the sensors on the buttons as extra buttons or use the LEDs as indicatiors for diffrent stuff. The scroll wheel for example seems to have 3 or more diffrent LEDs as Backlight. This could be used to indicate the battery status.

Customizable options for the so the lights can follow your touch when scrolling ?
Not practical but it would look good
But how could we interact with the sensors?
I dont think they land somewhere in the message queue of windows mobil. I think we have to rewrite the driver which is responsible for them. But maybe I'm wrong, because I don't have a lot of experience with the windows Mobil API. I prefer managed code like C#.
As far as I understand, the center of the dpad is the only part of the hardware that has the capability of sensing when you touch it. The only way you are gonna get the other buttons to respond is with a button press unless you modify the hardware.
try the latest version of xdandroid. if u thouch for example the back key, it glows.
so, no. every button has a sensor on it
Just so we're all on the same page, the entire area below the screen is a touchpad, it is sensitive to touch & motion - there is an app that implements this very nicely as both a touchpad and touch launcher/Task Mgr. My xsense app already interacts with button lights to show several events (i.e. stylus out, volume profiles).

OK Sorry! I have the cdma diamond on sprint so I didn't know the other versions(gsm) had touch sensative buttons! My d-pad is that way but the others are not. Forgive my ignorance.
Y'all should check this app out; I'm not in league with the developer, but I recognize his talent on this one. Its an amazing app that does all of the above and more - and there's a trial version:

Is anyone out their who can explain me how to catch the events of button-touch area?

Google for Koushik's sensors.dll library; it comes with sample apps etc...
in his libary is only a event for the rotation of the scroll wheel...
touch lock pro
As I know, app called "Touch lock pro" can do some settings with the ring LED's, so this can be the way
