[solved] Gyro sensor stopped working - Transformer TF300T General

I installed the official CM10 stable about a week ago and was really surprised how much faster the ROM is than the original ASUS firmware.
suddenly about 2 days ago my screen didn't rotate anymore when I turned the tablet. (Autorotate is switched on!)
I then installed a water level app to check the sensor values and found it to always return 0 deg.
I already tried rebooting and also tried recovering from a TWRP backup, I made right after installing CM10, but the sensors still refuse to give me any feedback.
Any help would be really appreciated.
edit:
Doing a full wipe before restoring my backup resolved the issue!

Sensors Broken after ROM Change

Hi, i'm cross-posting this for visibility.
So, i'm completely lost. I was playing around with ROMs and mods (the RAM build.prop, for example), and now all my phone's sensors seem to be stuck.
I have reflashed back to completely stock ROM, taken official sprint update. Tried modded ROM, done factory resets, cleared/wiped everything, and still the issue persists.
It would appear my Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, and Compass are all not responding at all.
Right now i'm on rooted stock AOJ6.
Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe a corrupted sensor properties file or something similar like that? I'm completely at a loss.
Any help is appreciated.
Guys, it fixed itself. I booted into safe mode, restarted and all the sensors are working again.
I doubt it had anything to do with safe mode, as the sensors weren't working in safe mode.
I have no idea what could have done it. I wish I had a real answer for you.

SM-G901F WiFi Pemanently Switch Off

Hi All
I have an issue with my S5 Plus (G901F) a few days ago I rooted, TWRP and installed the stable MM ROM from Tkkg1994 and have been happily using my phone. This morning while I was opening the Gmail app the device rebooted and when it came back up I noticed WiFi was not on. Pressing the quick menu WiFi button turns it green for a second before going back to disabled. Likewise going to into settings - WFi and using the slider does not work either, it just goes back to off.
So far, I have wiped ART/Dalvik, reflashed BL and Modem, factory reset. Wiped the whole device and redid everything including diffrerent ROM's on the same BL/Modem (CPE1) and have the same result.
Everything else works, just not WiFi, I should also add I have tried with and without the SD card and disabling/enabling other radios (GPS/BT) in different combos has not worked either.
Has anyone come across this and can they suggest next steps?
I'm currently downloading the stock ROM that came with my phone to see if that helps.
Cheers
Stock ROM did not help.
Did you find solution? I have recently started to have same issue with same device.

Probably not. The S5 seems to suffer a lot by such issues. I bought mine 3 months ago in a shop. It worked for about 2 months very well. Then all of the sudden it became hot in my pocket so i had to quickly remove the battery. After this the device suffered by ocessional reboots. Nothing helped. Even trying to reflash the stock firmware by trying several Pit´s.
Finally got a replacement as obviously either the RAM or the CPU got defective. The other phone lasted for one week as the wifi module got defective there. Nothing helped either. Now it´s my 3th S5. This weekend my flashlight and camera stopped working. Fortunally got this fixed by reflashing the stock firmware.
Honestly I like the phone but it seems to be quite buggy. Never got such problems with my old S4 and am thinking about going back to the older device.
dude try flashing 4 files flash through odin

My OnePlus2 seems to break more and more in software :/

Before some weeks ive been asking here what ROM I should use. Ive done this cause my power drains to fast.
So I switched back to OxygenOS3.0 and everything worked fine until today.
Today my phone got always authentification problems with my WiFi at Home.
So ive thought to fully unroot my device and go back on the first stock ROM.
But it fixed nothing and I also restart my router so thats not the fault.
Also the Fingerprint Sensor including the Touch Function doesnt work anymore ive also got this problem before a half year but fixed it very fast after installing CM13.
Now ive wanted to know if someone got the same problems or one of them and could help or give some advices the phone is only 1 year old and I didnt want to swap to another one until a year.

What I would do is flash some other roms and make sure that you're using the hybrid twrp
Or probably start over again after flashing stock ROM.
Before that try clearing cache and Dalvik which solves issues on most deodexed ROMs.

Proximity and light sensors are not working in my OP2

I am on OxygenOS 3.5.6. Few days ago my proximity sensor stopped working. The screen does not switch off automatically when I bring it near my ear during a call. Also it does not adjust the screen brightness in dim and bright light. I have to keep the automatic brightness adjustment off because if I turn it on, it just turns the brightness to lowest even in bright light in surroundings. I tried to check the values of the proximity and light sensors in some sensors diagnostics app, but the entry of proximity and light sensor does not show up at all as if these sensors are not even present in my device. I am sure I was able to see the values of these sensors when they were working fine. I have tried apps like AndroSensor, CPU-Z, Sensors test. What could be the reason. Thanks in advance
Have you dropped the phone recently and caused any damage? It's unlikely, as the oneplus 2 is fairly robust. I mean I'm currently using it with a cracked screen after it fell down a scaffold. And I think only reason screen cracked was a unlucky placed stone dead in the corner.
It might be a software issue? As the diagnostic apps say there isn't anything there. This is just a hunch. I'd suggest backing up your OS in TWRP or what ever you use. And doing a cache wipe.
If that fails maybe try flashing a random rom. And gaps. See if that fixes your problem at all? With out seeing the phone and playing with it there not a great deal I can do.
But try the above.

Actually I already did that. I had a nandroid backup of older version of OxygenOS where those sensors were working. I took nandroid backup of current OS and restored the older one. Still couldnt make those sensors work. I havent dropped my phone recently, the sensors stopped working just out of the blue.

Ah I see very odd.
Well I did some searching for you .
There's an xda thread that discusses it found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...overy-teamwin-recovery-project-3-0-0-t3310713 post #2. It comes down to flashing the persist image found in the recovery zip. Which I've only ever done once or twice so sorry I didn't immediately jump to it. In fastboot mode do:
Code:
Fastboot flash persist persist.Img
Its found in the recovery.zip I belive . I hope it helps.

Thanks for taking time to search that thread however the link you posted is broken. I guess you are referring to this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65367381&postcount=54
The above thread is for H2OS and the persist.Img mentioned in this thread is to roll back to lollipop. I am currently on MM OOS so I guess I cannot use those files.
The TWRP recovery for OP2 are available as .img files only and not as .zip as you can see here https://dl.twrp.me/oneplus2/. So just to make sure if that persist.img is available on recovery.zip, I downloaded the zip file of other device and checked but persist.img was not there. I also checked in the full rom zip of MM OOS and persist.img was not there too. So not sure from where to get that img now.
Also is there a way to make backup of my current persist.img in the device? Because I dont want to break my phone any further while experimenting with these flashings.
Hi, few months back i flashed h2os and flashed few custom roms. but later on i found that i had broke all my sensors even camera app doesnt work. No help from service center. pleaseeee help me
Hi, where i can find a Proximity and light sensors for the OP2?

I have just clean it. But no effect

Accelerometer Issue - Fix is to do factory recovery, but I am running TWRP and...

I just started having an accelerometer issue. Suddenly my device started vibrating and turning the flash light on and off. Turns out the accelerometer was triggering the flashlight gesture. It is also screwing up my ability to use my camera because it thinks my phone orientation keeps changing. The only fix that I have found online is to do a factory reset but I am running TWRP and Nougat flashable stock build from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/twrp-flashable-stock-builds-t3813351
I have tried flashing a backup I have from a couple months ago but that didn't help. Any advice on how to proceed is greatly appreciated. I do want to move up to Oreo but haven't taken the plunge yet because I need to research the issues with IMEI disappearing or something to that effect. I will do some research and maybe try to re-flash the Nougat stock build that I am running and see if that helps, after I backup all data.
Fixed it. Downloaded the build i was using and flashed it and it resolved the accelerometer issue.
