Hello,
at the moment I'm using my HD2 with Cyanogen Mod JB. But i want to use USB Host to control my camera. I found this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21716864
But it says that ICS is needed. So my question: Is there a way to use USB Host with a newer CM Version. Or alternatively, are there any USB Host Ready Roms?
Thanks

Hey guys and girls!
I'm currently getting into android development and i need a shell on my pc for testing, i planed to do it using adb.
unfortunately adb doesn't recognize my android htc touch hd (running neopeek),
so i need these drivers:
"CDC Abstract Control Model (ACM)"
"CDC ACM Data"
and "XDA"
in the FAQ you state that debugging is possible over usb.
to cut things short:
can anyone give me a hint where i can find those drivers without downloading demo versions or cracked crap?
thanks!

Hi. I have the same on my Blackstone and Android. Any solution?
Android USB drivers
All users who have HTC HD aka Blackstone, have the same problem with USB Driver.
I look for two days and nothing found, maybe someone will find these drivers,
and share with as, I HOPE THAT !
You guys know Android is Google, right?
The Google USB driver is a downloadable component for Windows developers, available for download from the AVD and SDK Manager.
If you install the Google USB Driver are you be able to have access to the SD Card or is it only for USB Debug?

Yes, unfortunately -
The Google USB Driver is only for Android Developer Phones (ADP), Nexus One, and Nexus S. If you're using a different Android-powered device, then you need to get a USB driver from the device OEM.

Our Blackstone isn't one of them.
What you need is a driver from HTC.
I had the same problem when i got into developing for my blackstone.
You can find the driver here:
HTC Sync Drivers 32 Bit
HTC Sync Drivers 64 Bit
Works in Win7 and XP.

Great! Thanks.
Hi,
is it normal I don't find any native tethering options in settings ?
Only Usb tether is showed (which was already available in Donut)
Shouldn't Froyo support wifi/bt tether ?
I'm using
[ROM] Latest Froyo AOSP for Tattoo v0.46 released (FMRadio autoscan support)
and it works great.
Thank you
dumb question ?
No one had an answer on that ?
Maybe I should upgrade to 2.3 ?
Thanks to anyone
teter support only 2.3
Thanks
Does anyone know if the HD2 can support Google's Open Accessory Mode?
I've put CyanogenMod 7 on it, (Android 2.3.5), so it should have the OS tools to connect out.
Has anyone had a bash at connecting their HD2 to an arduino yet?

No, it needs kernel support, a updated ROM is not enough.

Thanks for that. You've saved me a great deal of (frustrating) time. Is it worth updating the rom? Or should I just track down a good alternative for OA development?

hi, i'm actually using a rom 2.3.7 with your 2.6.32 kernel it works flawless.
i flash other rom with 2.6.35 to test my arduino ADK but it doesn't seems to work.
can you.. as a kernel developer make some special kernel to get the arduino adk working on the hd2? i've tried some roms with 2.6.35 kernel but still have no success on them..
i know almost all hd2 are based on nexus or so.. and those phones support ADK.
thank you very much...
USB host
Hi, what exactly Rom and kernel that working for you ?

More information : http://htc-linux.org/wiki/index.php?title=Leo/Status
USB Host = Needs Testing.
Currently, only WM6.5 and Ubuntu can make Leo host USB.
I don't think the drivers for android are available (at least not publicly)
Cotula has done some drivers and software, search his threads.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda premium
I made the cable and used Cotula's files to run it on WM. I can connect USB drives and USB keyboards to my HTC HD2. What I am really interested is attaching my USB-Serial (Prolific chip) cable so I can connect a Cisco Console cable.
There is an App for connecting USB-Serial (Prolific chip only) cable to android phones on the market but only supports Android 3.0. Can anyone advise a simple way for having something similar on Android for cellphones. The name of the App is Slick Serial 2 USB
Saw on dealextreme a readymade MicroUSB to USB Host cable. Would like to see USB Host on Android too...
i'm using V10i-VDF-RO-DEC-03-2012 and there is no usb hosting available. is there o way to change this ?, or can someone with a custom rom confirm that usb hosting is available ? i would like to use it as a remote with time laps on my Canon .
