@tingtingin
no, this is sense 4 i want sense 2

No ones gonna port a port of a rom that is barely functional on the hardware it was ported to which is actually easier to design for just because u asked especially given the lack of interest in sense based roms

Samsung Galaxy S2 to get Official ICS in March – OTA Update
Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 operating system are the now more than 70 days old and still there is no major mobile phone out with Android 4.0 by default or there is no phone with Android 4.0 upgrade readily available. Yesterday, it was HTC who announced at their Facebook page that they will be updating HTC Sensation line of phone with Ice Cream Sandwich in March end. Today it turned out to be Samsung’s turn as they have announced that their best selling Galaxy S II will receive Ice Cream Sandwich update on March 1, 2012 which is the concluding day of Mobile World Congress. The Android 4.0 update of Galaxy S II has no connection with MWC either.

No, no. I truly don't care anymore. I sold my NS4G and got an iPhone 4S, which, by the way, is running the latest iOS.
So why are you posting here then? We get it. Not all NS variants got ICS before everyone else.

On the contrary, my friend, I'm not a fanboy of either OS. I've owned several Android phones, and wanted to try something different after being disappointed by the NS4G in conjunction with the utter failure of the roll-out of the ICS platform.

Is it really necessary to turn this thread into a bashing of the op? So what, he linked to an article. About android. In the general section of an android forum.
Personally, I watched my friends vivid get updated to ice cream sandwich last night. It broke my heart because he got it via ota, before my nexus s. Official google/sprint ics is something my ns4g will most likely never receive. Yes, I am a cry baby. Flame me.

nexus not first in line for Ubuntu after all?

Can someone please point me in the direction to where it is said Ubuntu will have development for the galaxy nexus first?
Sure. The galaxy nexus probably has the most development options for it. Was the galaxy nexus not first... If not close to one of the first phones to run 4.2
I dunno. I'm nothing more then a noob..
But I'm tired of hearing if Ubuntu will be coming to your phone.
Let's be honest. Ubuntu will probably be as easy to port to your device as cyanogen.
this is just my own theory.
Let me know what you think. But try not to get too pissed off at my ignorance Haha.

Wow... Thanks.. You must be a hell of a good and smart developer .. Now I feel stupid because when I try to port cyanogen to a device it seems to be so f... hard that i usually give up on it and do something else that is fun like programming things .. I mean i develop software the whole day at work with Qt/C++/C# and get paid for it and that don't seem to be so easy either , it f.. My brain sometimes..
The cyanogen people do it for free, heck the people that will port Ubuntu will do it for free... Don't say its easy , it never is easy...
I should get a new job I guess..

It depends on the phone really. Which phones have proprietary drivers like HTC.its been a hell of a time just getting good jellybean ports to work good on the rezound. So it really depends on the phone I think.

Looks like Canonical copy/pasted/edited CyanogenMod code. Doing the same would be a quick way to start porting to your device. http://phablet.ubuntu.com/gitweb

The guys at my forum got mad at me

Don't ask. It haven't even been released yet.
Don't come here to whine about it. Wait until the Ubuntu rom has actually been released and just wait for any interest from devs in your phone forum. If there is no interest then either give up on hope for Ubuntu or start developing yourself.
PS. There's not a chance in hell you'll get Ubuntu running on a p350. Get a gnex for that
U can't ask anywhere at the moment what u could do is off handedly mention it in another thread like u just say
"hey u guys saw that new OS ubuntu for phones lol it'd be cool if someone ported to our device wonder if any1 is thinking about it?"

Really bad meme reference in a really bad occasion . That meme is 90s Problems. Anyways, you can't really ask around for a port because it's not really released already AND there's no source for it, you can probably phrase your question something like this.. "Anyone planning on porting Ubuntu Mobile to the ____ device once it's released?"

oh well just a thought, although it would seem people do all sorts of things that the galaxy y does not seem to support which is why i asked, but thanks for your answer
They have tried to bring it anyways but our port can't produce enough power to power the drive so it would have to be augmented with something but many have tried but none have succeeded
