Shooting in the dark here...
Is by your boatloader compatible?
Does your recovery support the Google api version in the Rom?
Have you tried any other roms?
Have you tried flashing to a different recovery and then flashing your rom?

just had a another look at your pic....bit easier to see on my pc!!!
You're running cwm 1.3.4 this is an HC only recovery -
You're trying to flash a JB rom so you will definitely need the unlocked bootloader and one of the recovery's that come with it
Once you get that sorted you'll be all good!!!
Thanks, now I have another problem, I installed acer's driver and selected debug mode, but the manager appears acer "No Acer Connected" but I can open the tablet folders on the pc, what am I doing wrong?
sorry, now i have recovery Version CWM rev1.7.3 and bootloader Version 3.0.1 .. I Can install JB CM10?

No, no m8 u must flash v8 bootloader first and you must have yr cpuid for that. If u flash that rom without the v8 youll brick it
Two stickys in dev forum...one for v8 and one for cpuid.

Youll need the drivers from the android sdk too..theres a mini sdk zip in the cpuid guide, bottom of the first post. Instructions to set those up are in that post as well
Dowload the apxflash manager tool, its the easiest way to install the bootloader and retrieves your cpuid too...at the first screen choose 'bundle market' option and then bundle number 17.... Also choose option to dump and save your 'bct' when u get to that screen.
If u follow things carefully youll have no probs
Good luck

if you are unlocked to don't have to keep the custom kernel. you can just hotboot the kernel, flash the zip and then reboot and it will be like you never flashed the kernel but you will be rooted.

You need fastboot.exe. If you have it then first download the SuperUser zip file from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24825517&postcount=105
And put it on your SD card.
Then download any kernel that has CWM support. There is one here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24826349&postcount=110
Then put your phone into fastboot mode (turn it off then plug it in while holding the Back button - the LED will turn BLUE - if it doesn't then try plugging in while holding the MENU button instead, I can never remember which one it is).
Then copy the kernel to your device like this:
fastboot boot recoveryARC.img
Your device will reboot - when the SONY logo goes bright start spamming the VOLUME DOWN button to enter Recovery.
Then flash the SuperUser.zip file from your SD card. Unplug the phone, reboot and you have root access. You should then head to Google Play and download Busybox Installer and install the latest release.
Good luck.
Isn't this the naff Chinese leaked build? Not the final one?
I think i'll wait for the dust to settle, too much hacking and failure stories right now, along with "fluff" from leaked betas and prereleases and lt15i owners trying to get stuff working.
This is the final release. I love it FWIW.
However, installing it was a PITA - I bricked my device three times before I got it right using Flashtool. But it's worth it - I've been running the beta since it was released and the performance of the final release is MUCH better.
Plus they seem to have supercharged the launcher - I'm only getting a redraw if I've been running a heavy game (Temple Run for example). The beta version would reload the launcher a lot.
There will be a new version of Flashtool that will allow the official FTF to be flashed without all the hassle - might be worth waiting for. The issue is with changing the partition table or something.
only fastboot doomkernel
then install su by recovery
then flash stock kernel by flash tool & exclude all other option
and reboot

You will want to upgrade your bootloader first for sure. Most roms are going to not work with the Honeycomb bootloader in the near future. Go ahead and put version 7 of the bootloader on, so future bootloader enhancements can be flashed via CWM. Once you install the bootloader, install CWM again, pick a rom & enjoy! Test drive them all.
read the afterota thread in dev section download the software, as easy as 1-2-3 and your pretty much done , I dont know if he has V7 listed now , if not Civato has it!

To upgrade to tegraowners ICS ROM or FLEXREAPER (not extrem vetsion) is no new bootloader needed!
I'm using both ROM with my stock HC bootloadet!
You can upgrade the bootloader later if you like.

Sigh..... OK..... I tried 1.3.4 but now when I try to enter recovery I get "recovery verified failed" in red and I am unable to get the old one back.
I am running the ota ics 4.0.3 with 0.03.12-ics bootloader.
This was rooted with thund3r's method.
1. Which ver of cwm should i install with ari so I can then install touch 1.7.3
2. Is there anything I am not doing that i need to?
3. Is there a stock one I can download and install with Ari if I need it back?

Boot into cwm and factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache also. Then re flash ROM of your choice. If it still won't boot I suggest trying another ROM or Odin back to stock and re root your device.

You are right, the problem is caused by flashing different roms contain different kernel. I met similar problem before. Flash correct requested kernel before flashing the rom you want is necessary.
Suggestion for other users: Before flashing new rom, know what is your current kernel version, and do necessary adjusted work if needed.

The problem may be caused by flashing the CM10 directly, you need to flash a updated kernel (check what tezet said about the kernel update in his CM10) from froyo kernel to CH kernel before flashing CM10 (not the first two CM10 release, which asks for froyo kernel to run.)
I had similar problem when I flashed directly from froyo kernel to a CM10 that asks for GB kernel to run. So I flashed a updated kernel before flashing CM10, then it CM 10 working.
I assume the problem is caused by different kernel. We usually call it "M logo stuck" problem. Hope my suggestion works. And hope your work will work soon.
Best wishes,
Peter

I just thought about what you said that cwm recovery has nothing to do with ROM but according to the guide I used it said I had to use a cwm version 6 with JB. so that is why I mentioned the ROM version because it was based on JB. So would you not think it does indeed play an important role in choosing a compatible recovery?

Developers or tutorial writers list the recovery because thats the one they preffer / use themselves, but most of the time, it doesnt matter which one you use!!
Btw, the reason they say to use CWM6 with Jelly Bean, is because CWM will automatically stop JB from erasing CWM and returning the stock recovery,
but even if you flash with lets say CWM5, you can still remove the script that will undo CWM, but you will have to do it manually (it's an extra step)

I can't flash a custom rom now because I don't have recovery. The only thing I can do with my phone is to enter download mode.
As far as I know I have to:
- flash a new room that I can use it to boot device and work on it.
- root device and install recovery
- install cooked rom
My problem is that I don't know what to flash so that I can boot my phone --- now it is in the dead phase
You have to flash an sbf, not a ROM(that's what you will flash once you get back recovery). Read the defy beginners guide to get the steps. Basically:
Get sbf (search and download)
Get rsdlite and Motorola USB drivers
Flash it (from boot loader mode)

As mentioned already I have flashed sbf with RSDLite and still in trouble. Please point me to a correct sbf file to use. This is what I need

Did you try a full wipe in stock recovery before flash .sbf?
