[Q] Is there any sound enhancement apps in AOKP like DSP Manager? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Im about to root my phone for the first time, so I can't apply that " check it yourself" logic this time.
I want to know, is there DSP Manager or any sound enhancement app in AOKP?
When I had AOKP in my OG Note, it didn't have any, so I just wanted to ask

Well, if you want anything other than dsp you can look for the beats one lurking somewhere in the forum (I have no idea where i saw it) .
Or if you like DSP manager then you can just use root explorer and take the apk from a cm rom then place it in your aokp rom and then set permissions and you should be able to use it. I am not sure if DSP manager requires any libs so just give this a try.
Good luck :good:

Porting Honeycomb music app to G2/ CM7 RC 2 with CWM3

Hi im trying to port the honeycomb music app posted around these forums to work on CM7 CWM3 but it needs to be updated to Edify Scripting to work on CWM3 but I can't sign .zips or .apk at this time. Here is the zip that should work on pre CWM3 builds.
There's an apk floating around here, had it but just didn't like it much.

Edit: I found it, and uploaded it. Tried it out again, didn't like it again No need for that recovery flash crap..

There is already an apk for it somewhere .search for it .also you won't need to flash it. Just uninstall the music opp with titanium back up and install the apk .it works fine but its not impressive at all.

rom with working DSP manager?

Hey guys I've been trying different roms that are available on this site and I can't seem to find one with DSPManager actually enabled or doing anything.
I simply started Apollo or some similar basic music player and started changing things in DSP and it had absolutely no effect.
So, do you guys know of any ROM that actually got this working?
Glazed Jellybean I think has a DSP manager installed on it if I recall correctly
I know that it is installed, it simply doesn't work.
I tried glazed and paranoid android.
[APP] - DSPManager for Nexus 7

Simply installing the app on top even if it came with the rom fixed it for me ...
Well live and learn.
Thanks for your help!

Any one know how????

Does anyone know how to put rom control task manager and jb sourcery tool on NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.6.zip???? i tried putting them in the zip file under system/app before i installed it. the install went great but when i tried task it was an error and when i looked for rom control it wasn't there and when i tried jb sourcery tool it opened but it says only sourcery roms can use them. The reason i want these on this rom is because i tried them on other roms and they were awesome. So now im using NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.6.zip and one of the best so far i would like to know for my own to learn how to get make a rom or put files on them for my personal use. i would appreciate the help thank you
First you posted in wrong thread, make new in Q&A part of forum.
Second you are trying to install some system app from JB to ICS which in way you try won't work.
If you whish to learn how to cook own rom search for guides on hd2 forum, there isnt easy curve you must read, read and ofc read.

[I9305] Compatible / Non-compatible Application List between I9300 and I9305

Hi All,
Here's a list of applications that are common between I9300 (S3 3G GSM version) and I9305 (S3 LTE GSM version).
Compatible apps
Mobile ODIN
TriangleAway
SGS3 Easy UMS
Light Manager
Partially Compatible apps
DSP Manager for GS3 - App crashes when clicking equalizer band in app. Other functions works fine.
Not-Compatible apps
ROM Manager
AOSP Camera for JellyBean - Can someone verify this, since I am using the modified Note 2 Camera+Gallery app and the gallery app causes the ICS camera to crash

nice post we needed something like this. just out of curiosity is there a way to reset the flash counter on I9305 ?
Better Idea
I think it would be MUCH better easier to only show up the non compatible and partially compatible apps. Because The list for Compatible is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE lool most of the apps between the I9300 and I9305 are actually compatible
As an audiophile I always try different apps to enhance my listening experience and the best mod I have found so far is mega bass beats mod from nexus forum. It will also work on a non- deodexex rom so if your phone is rooted u just need to flash it through recovery. Here is the link... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1873121

As long you phone is rooted and have custom recovery then yes it should work. I have a stock rooted non-deodexed EE rom and it works flawlessly. Let me know if you need help getting it up and running
TriangleAway works now

I need help?

I just flashed my N10 with Custom ROM CM10.1 but I realized I don't like it that much.
My N10 is rooted, and I do not know how to roll back to the stock rom because I forget to do a full backup. Please help, im running on 4.2.2
Thank you! I just want to roll back
Tim
Google search for factory image for Nexus 10. Or install a stock rooted 4.2.2 ROM from the development section, or try out other ROMs and see if you like them better.
I dont really understand though how you dont like CM10.1, it is the same as stock but with a couple more features and bugfixes. What could you possibly not like about it?
Just check out the sticky threads on the nexus 10 general forum. They have a thread with stock roms.
However my suggestion would be to try out more custom roms. They too are available on a sticky thread. Specially the vanilla rootbox one which is working great for me.

Try using carbon ROM and Trinity kernel I have that set up on my N10 and my N4 and both devices smoke man they are fast as hell....try rasbean too all of this is in the nexus 10 original development section ......if your looking for close to stock as possible try mmuzzy ROM its stock with performance enhancements ....don't fret man that's the best part flashing different ROMs and kernels to suit you best man :cyclops:
I suggest using AOKP Pub with the Trinity Kernel. Awesome combination, super smooth, good battery life and nice performance - plus a ton of options for customization
agreed with anazei

Take a deep breath man. When I saw this thread I thought you dropped it in the toilet or something. LOL Not a big deal, it is easy to go back. If your head is spinning because of all the different options available in CM play around with it for a few days, it will grow on you.
Take it easy buddy. There is a tons of stuff that you could do with your rooted nexus.

He just wants to go back to stock. I don't think he wants to unroot.
Or at the very least he does not know that you can be rooted and on stock.

Well, the reason I do not like about the CM10.1 and most custom ROMs is that it doesnt support google play store and also it lacks the google pinyin(input method)which comes default on the nexus 10 and the google pinyin i download on the official site is way different than the default built-in one.

Nobody would use custom ROMs if they couldn't use the play store also you can pull the pinyin apk and install it to any custom rom

Well the reason Id want to flash back to my stock rom was because when I tried flashing gapps I cant get into rcovery mode i kept getting a dead android with exclaimation mark.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
Then you have a corrupt download or something weird. Most ROM's need to flash a gapps package after the ROM gets flashed so you have the official Google apps like the play store. There are one or two ROMs with these apps built in but the "proper" way is to separate the apps into the different installs. Though if you use a ROM with an Aroma installer, I have always seen gapps get flashed as a part of that. Mr.Robinson's AOKP PUB is a good example of that.
Also in regards to pinyin you would have to flash to stock/rooted use something like es file explorer goto /system/apps copy the pinyin apk to your normal storage(virtual sdcard) then you can flash whatever you want and copy that apk back to /system/app set permissions to read write read read and maybe reboot. You should then have the one you want working.
