Does anyone know how to put rom control task manager and jb sourcery tool on NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.6.zip???? i tried putting them in the zip file under system/app before i installed it. the install went great but when i tried task it was an error and when i looked for rom control it wasn't there and when i tried jb sourcery tool it opened but it says only sourcery roms can use them. The reason i want these on this rom is because i tried them on other roms and they were awesome. So now im using NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.6.zip and one of the best so far i would like to know for my own to learn how to get make a rom or put files on them for my personal use. i would appreciate the help thank you
First you posted in wrong thread, make new in Q&A part of forum.
Second you are trying to install some system app from JB to ICS which in way you try won't work.
If you whish to learn how to cook own rom search for guides on hd2 forum, there isnt easy curve you must read, read and ofc read.

Did a little bit of searching and couldnt find anything... maybe im just blind.
Ive used rom manager to download and install a rom before. But ive never done the build your own thing that is going on with all the roms now. So lets just use the blackhole rom from sonofskywalker3.
I would download the file listed as 1.4 Build your own, install it. Then install all the extras one by one if i want/need them?
Just want to have as much info as possible
Thanks in advance community!

Good choice! If you need help, let me know..
does windows mobile 6.5 disappear when I install coredroid?? I would like to have both OS..
Then you need to boot android from SD. Go to the android SD sub forum
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
yes but can I have both wm and coredroid installed? I did a flash but then wm was gone.
I have tried searhing and I havent found anything like this, so I hope im not in trouble for asking...
Has anyone made or would like to make a custom sense rom with just a few extra apps?
The main reason I am asking is because you cannot access a file manager by downloading from windows to you sd card (you have no option to either download from Andriod Market or using the sync, which doesnt work for me)
Basically I looking for a ROM that is exactly like HTC Sense but has a file manager and a few other apps by default...
Like the ultra bright torch app and the you tube and Iplayer app.
You can alsways use roms that are already out there, but you usually loose the widgets the come with the stock HTC Sense, plus I miss the facebook streams.
Anyways, the main app it need installed is the superuser app and a good (free) file manager, anyone wish to help or comment?
Also, my phone is rooted with the HBoot 001 version, and I have heard roumours that if you upgrade to 2.2.2 then you can no longer root your phone, and since i am getting into hacking and rooting the widfire, I really dont want to loose the functions!
I hope this will start a healthy thread, as most of my threads dont!
Thanks, Keith
you can sideload apps from windows to your phone using sideloader machine for example
- If you are on HBoot 1.01.0001, you already are on Android 2.2.1 (There is no 2.2.2). While official 2.2.1 was not rootable some months back, after the release of AlphaRev / Revolutionary, it is possible.
- Apps can be installed via ADB also. One such guide is here:
http://voxigee.wordpress.com/2010/02/28/using-adb-to-install-applications/
And a Video Tutorial here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27HIDvjdUFM
- Also, Stock Froyo ROM with Superuser can be found here: (Get the Rooted Version). After you install this, you can install the File Manager using the guides above.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877977
- Lastly, for such a simplistic ROM Creations, you can use the DSIXDA Kitchen to cook a ROM yourself. Its easy, and you can add and remove exactly what you want.
Thread here:

Good Luck
dude dont you like sense based custom rom. they are much like stock. but with most of the features of custom rom are embeded. there are also hacked ruu( rooted) availabe.

So before anyone says something. I've searched the Forums a good 2-3 weeks before becoming a member to ask this question. I NEED HELP.
Okay so, I've installed the LEO Stock Desire Nand Android Rom on my HTC HD2. Only probably is that the pics sent through mms are very small in comparison to the actual files. I've figured out that I have to edit the mm_prop.conf and change it to say Nexus or N95 instead of the Bravo in order to fix it. But I just can't seem to replace the file or edit it. I've literally tried everything. Mind suggesting new alternatives? Does anyone know how to fix this? Please help. Thanks
So when you say you have been unable do you mean you can't open it and make the changes?
Sent from my HTC Runnymede using XDA App
Let me make a correction. I specified the wrong file. I meant the mm_prop.conf file. And no. I know how to open it and edit it. My question is, how do I re-write the original file that is in the /system/etc directory? Is there anyway to flash it? Because I am having trouble implementing the fix.

U only joined to ask a question -_-
By trying everything I'm assuming u used root explorer to edit the file and checked to see if u can set a user agent in the messaging app itself, haven't been on a Desire build in a while but seeing how they're highly updated I would either reflash or search the thread which u got the rom one more time because that seems like an issue ppl wouldn't ignore
Sent from my HD2 using xda premium
Haha. No, I didn't join just to ask a question. And you would think that someone would ask this question, which they have, but no one has actually found an answer. According to the forums the orginal Leo Stock Desire Nand Android ROM is the only ROM that hasn't been updated since it's release.
So in order to fix the mms problem in this ROM I must edit the file, but everytime I do, I am unable to rewrite the actual file because its permissions make it so that you can't.
Will rooting the phone, make it so that I can gain access of the ROOT files? How would I go about doing that?
And does anyone know how to flash a root system file using the install .zip option in clockwork? Because that sounds like it could solve my problem.
Not exactly sure if this will work for the rom that your using but tytung uploaded a zip that you can flash through cwm that fixes this problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11419702#post11419702
Worked for me on simple mobile
Thanks I'll look into it, but I doubt its compatible with the rom I'm running. Anymore suggestions?
Try going into the messaging app and changing the user agent to NexusOne (in settings and then select custom) you probably still need the file edited somehow, but it doesn't hurt to see if it helps
wow -__-
that last comment doesn't apply to this rom. This rom was the first to be released and doesn't support that feature.
I meant the builds, but just try another Desire rom if its something that irritates you. Just saying

I've already tried that and they all seem like they have either too many bugs, or they're missing some features that the original already offers.
To me the original rom is complete in terms of most functionality and glitches. The only thing it really lacks is the mms fix. Which I'm trying to fix myself, but am stuck...
Hi, I found a rom that was buid for desire, its a translated sense rom in Hebrew

It's not something I can just write here, and then you perform it.
You will need linux knowledge. Porting means a lot of errors. You will need to look at logcat and fix errors.
Check out this site:
http://www.freeyourandroid.com/index.php
Download the rom.
Download a stable rom already for the hd2.
Remove driver files from the stable rom and put into rom you're porting.
Also you will probably have to rewrite the build.prop file to use the drivers you copied.
Rezip the rom your porting and test.
This is the most basic steps. I'm considering writing a guide on compiling and porting but I'm not sure yet.
Hope this helps some.

Whre those drivers are located at?
Um, this is from memory but
Their located inside the system folder.
Their like lights.so etc.. I can't tell you alot without actually looking at it, my memory is failing me.

First of all thank for the help,
this what i already tried before i opened this thread..
i took an HD2 stable rom (2.3.3 sense 2.1) and deleted all apps in system/app/*
also i deleted customize folder, fonts, and framwork
and copy all the above from the desire rom (also 2.3.3 sense2.1)
so all i changed is apps, framework, fonts, and customize.
tried to boot and it stack on the kernel logo
any idea if i did right or wrong?
p.s sorry for the bad English, im working on it
