So, i've got the Nexus 7 32g Version, unlocked and rooted. So today i tried to install a new rom to my Gnex.
But stupidly i forgot to push the rom files to the nexus, and uninstaled the current ROM.
When I boot to TWRP i'm not able to mount the "sdcard", and so i can't push files into the nexus.
But the main problem is that I've got a new PC, without the drivers, i can't go into Fastboot, and i can't install the drivers, since I can't go to the USB Debugging Options.
What can I Do?
Thanks

Load the drivers from the internet and set up adb from the internet drivers. Then set your nexus in fast boot mode and plug it in. That should download the fast boot driver. Worst case tarp has a side load mode. Side load your ROM and then after it automatically flashes you'll prolly have to wipe and flash again so it'll flash properly. Then boot up your ROM. You may have to add gaapps and boot back to recovery and flash but you'll be good to go after that

So I've been messing around with android phones for a while now and I'm stuck. I was on the oxygen 2.1.6 Rom then decided to make a back up. However instead of going into CWR it just went into fast boot. When I go into recovery it just says fast boot mode no reboot or recovery img. I tried to odin back to stock like I usually do but adb wont recognize my device like it usually does. Please don't tell me I'm bricked and that I messed up bad. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I tried reinstalling drivers etc etc. Somebody help me lol

It sounds like you flashed a bad recovery. Download a new recovery , boot into fastboot, and
Code:
fastboot flash recovery yourrecoveryfile.img
adb wont recognize my device so how do I flash a new recovery

Adb only works when the phone is booted normally, provided usb debugging is on.
Use fastboot. If you want to make sure it's working, boot into fastboot mode and
Code:
fastboot devices
If it's working, you will see your serial number.
If the other options can't help you get your problem solved try Odin.
www.samfirmware.com
get the right files for your device and Odin program itself. There are tutorials on here how to use it.
sorry I was being an idiot. I tried fastboot and it showed nothing connected. When I flashed a recovery it just hung waiting for device. I have all the drivers loaded on the computer but my device is still unknown and wont be recognized. I have all the odin files and I have used odin before. This sucks
btw appreciate the help guys

Try installing pdanet, that will install all the drivers you need for fastboot and Odin.

my one click works on both versions, as all it does it just gets you root. if you want cwm then use rom manager afterwards.
but for his problem no it relies on adb and fastboot

Maybe not, but it does include some handy files. ;-)
Download and unzip Shabby's OneClickRoot
Install pdanet. (See the readme for which one.)
Reboot your computer.
Then try using his version of fastboot.
I'm assuming you are in fastboot mode (it will say so) and that you're using the usb cable that came with the phone.

I have CWM 6.0.1.0 on my nexus 7. I was rooted but running the stock ROM. I wanted to flash CM10. I booted into recovery, wiped cache, dalvik, and factory reset. I then flashed the .zip file. When I rebooted the device it never got out of the CM boot screen. That circle just kept spinning. I tried the toolkit but the drivers aren't really working on my computer (crappy old XP laptop). I have formatted the system and SD card out of desperation which was honestly a stupid thing to do. So, where I am at now. I have no way to boot into android. Everything is wiped and formatted. Toolkit, adb, nor fastboot will work. I thought fastboot would save me but I can't get it work. Not even on my wife's mac. So what are my options? Please let me know if there is something important I am leaving out.
It can take a while to get a new rom up and running. How much time did you give CM to install before you interrupted it?

Thats possible. I tried re-flashing it numerous times but they all got stuck in boot. I am now up and running with SmoothROM. I might have to re-download CM10 sometime and try again.
Hey guys I now has a similar problem. I flashed a bad copy of my Rom and when it failed to boot I too wiped everything in desperation. I know I'm an idiot! Now I need to push both a Rom an kernal to my root directory but I'm not clear on how to install my kernal. Once I push my Rom I can use my recovery to install the Rom. But how do I install the kernel? I'm using cleanrom which comes zipped with the kernal. I can't fastboot flash it because I cannot turn on USB debugging. Gary

To use fastboot you don't need to have switched on USB debugging, it's sufficient to go to bootloader mode and connect your PC to it.
(If you have already installed the correct drivers on your PC.)

using nexus 7 toolkit...but i'm probably doing something wrong...getting device not found.

Did you try installing the driver package that comes with Wugs?
Its sounds like it isnt finding the drivers to me.Are you using a custom recovery or the stock?
Try using Odin and see if it recognizes it.

i thought odin is for samsung devices...where do i download one that works with N7?
I'm trying to install drivers, but it's not doing anything but opening up pictures with how to install in Wugs.
using wugs, it does pick up as grooper under device manager, but doesn't show on the MY COMPUTER section
not sure what you mean by recover or stock, but i can get into Clockword Mod Recover 6.0.1.0...does that help?
**tried odin 3.7 but it isn't doing anything
LOL sorry I got a few devices and 2 out of 3 are samsung.
Maybe try to install the drivers in the toolkit here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809195 ,if you can get a image on there you should be able to flash it with Clockwork if you select install from zip.
I dont suppose you made a backup with Clockwork?
If you can get adb working you can easily flash it back to stock by following this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796
how do i do this when i can't boot into android
Driver Installation
This seems to be the most confusing part for many people. Be patient and thoroughly read all the instructions.
Enable usb debugging on your device (found under Settings > Developer Options)
NOTE: Since Android 4.2 the Developer Options are hidden by default.
To enable them, go to Settings > About Phone, and tap on build number around seven times. A small dialog will appear letting you know "You are now a developer!"
Install the abd driver - detailed instructions for installing or upgrading and existing driver on your version of Windows can be found at http://developer.android.com/tools/extras/oem-usb.html
Once the driver is installed open a command prompt and change directories to <your sdk directory>\platform-tools (see #2). From the command prompt run "adb devices". This will list any adb-capable devices that are connected to the computer by their serial number assuming your drivers are installed correctly. Recap:
Code:
can't figure it out....
"devices not found"

Did you install the drivers from the nexus toolkit?
And maybe try a reboot of your pc,and try unplugging usb and replugging while in fast boot.
Also check in CWM and see if a backup has every been made even if its old, its better than where you are now.
there's no backup of anything on the nexus...everything got wiped somehow. nexus 7 toolkit keep tellingthe resource loader cache doesn't have loader mUI entry" whichs tells me it's ok..
adb: unable to connect backup
unplug / reboot / different ports...basic pc stuff already done
Maybe try using a different cable,Other than that maybe try a different pc and see if it loads a default driver to at least give you access to put a zip file on it to flash, could be your driver is corrupt on that pc never heard of it installing a nexus as grooper.
Besides that I'm at a loss.
Best of luck, hopefully you get it figured out.
so...i've tried the following already just to make it clear...
i already tried all the basic pc things
-switch usb ports
-reboot pc
-use usb2
-use usb3 ports
-use a different computer (one 8, one XP)....both...i don't really know what to do cause instructions seems to be mostly in 7 and/or just not working on 8
-rebooted asus n7
if someone can give me step by step, noob guide...instead of saying try thing / that, it may help me.

I had exactly the same problem. I was able to restore mine to stock 4.2 without ever having the Nexus 7 show up under my computer. My understanding is that it isn't supposed to show up there unless it is booted into android, but I could be wrong. Anyways, just try downloading the stock N7 firmware and installing with the Unroot and restore stock option in the Wugfresh Toolkit, and if you want root and custom recovery back, simply use the option to reroot and follow the instructions. That's what I did and it worked like a charm.

Guys I need your help.
I have Nexus 4 16GB pre owned. Bought it with Cyanogenmod 10.2 installed already and rooted. Then CM11 nightlies came and I installed it OTA but it seems that it has a lot of bugs so I rolled back to CM10. When I rolled back and rebooted, it does not come up (Google and Cyanogenmod logo only). I rebooted it to bootload mode, then recovery (TWRP) and accidentally wiped out everything including ROM/OS. I don't have that much knowledge in restoring my phone. I tried connecting it to PC (WinXP) and it does not recognize the device. Tried everything posted in different forums on how to connect my device to PC but to no avail. Cannot do USB debugging thing 'cause I can only utilize device's recovery mode (TWRP). I'm thinking now on having this device repaired by cellphone repair shop just to install OS.Anyone can help? Other forums look like too technical for me. Noob here, really.

Then attached your phone to your PC and use adb push to push a custom rom or download your source image from google.

phone got wiped, os and all. can only get into team win recovery (no android with !). in recovery file manager there is NOTHING on the phone. can not get phone to be recognized by computer. used sdk to install drivers still nothing. can not activate usb debugging as there is no os. reboot in recovery gives warning no os on phone. there is nothing to restore, all folders in install tab are completely empty. is there anyway to save my phone? there is nothing on it...just enough for safe mode and recovery.
You need to get the computer to recognize your device. When booted into recovery and the device connected to your pc go to device manager and see what the issue is.

Simplest way is to download the factory image. Google nexus factory image. It's a .tgz file. Extract it using 7-zip. There's a flash-all.bat file in there. Boot into the bootloader and with your device connected to the pc just double click the flash-all.bat. It will wipe your device so if you can, backup first.
